Topper is a Hitmontop from the Pokéworld, and is also Topmonhit's first Nintendo-themed character. He is depicted as being a regular Hitmontop with no abnormal appearances. Originally, when The Yoshi Bodyguards members were deciding what they were, Topmonhit decided to think outside the box and go with what his name was based on, and thus used a Hitmontop. Later, when he began comics, he switched to a Kirby, but continued using Topper (then called Top) in Hachacha. Topper is, out of Topmonhit's 3 main characters, the one with the least personality the same as him. Despite this, he likes Topper more than Top or Oshy, possibly due to Topper being more inbetween. Personality-wise, he's sometimes serious and sometimes odd, but he is generally more of a fighter than Top or Oshy.

Top Story Bio
Topper and his brother, Opt, did not have a very good past. Their parents died when they were young and were out on the streets of the village. They weren’t treated very well by the Pokemon in the village and were saw as pretty much worthless, and eventually started attacking the village and destroyed it out of anger. At the end, Topper wanted to stop but Opt continued, and they ended up fighting with Topper as the winner. However, he knew no one would accept him now, and so he fled. He later got onto a boat in disguise, but the boat was destroyed and he drifted off until he got to an island called Hachacha. There, a lot of stuff happened that didn’t make a whole lot of sense and thus aren’t a part of the current storyline. Something that IS, however, is his brother returning, but now as a cyborg. But Topper still beat him, and he hasn’t been seen since. Anyway, he later left the island for some reason and fell through a portal to the YB at Star World. And so he was there until he fell through a portal bringing him back to the Pokemon World. He later returned to the YB, then left and stayed at Hachacha until Unown destroyed it (making it the 3rd Hachacha to be destroyed). He went to Viridian Forest where he met a white Butterfree named Rening, then later left and finally returned to Star World and lived at Top's House for a while. Finally now, he went to rejoin the YB so hooray. Topper is now back in the YB after so long. Well, not now, since he, Top and Oshy left. Topper’s not really really odd and can be serious, but can be quite odd. A while ago in Top's house Topper dropped a torch on his foot and it caught on fire. When he put it out he somehow learned Blaze Kick. LIKE GASP! Then in Dr. P's YB Luigi story, he learned Spark and Whirlpool!
History
Early Life
As far as Topper can remember, he never knew his parents. He and his brother simply lived out on the streets of a secret Pokemon village in Johto. There, they were treated like dirt by all the Pokemon around them, often being looked down upon. This eventually began to get to Topper and his brother, Opt, until eventually they snapped and began to attack the Pokemon in the village, destroying things until the village was decimated.
At this point, Topper wanted to stop, but Opt wanted to continue--he liked the feeling of destroying things, of people (or Pokemon) fearing him. They ended up going into a fight, which eventually ended in Topper winning. Opt ran off, angry, but Topper realized no one would want him around now--he took part in the destruction, too. Thus, he then ran off as well, trying to get away from there, away from his previous life.
Eventually, he found a ship of sailors. He snuck on, putting on a cloak in case anyone were to recognize him. Unfortunately, during the voyage, a Tentacruel attacked the ship, destroying it. Topper eventually floated to a deserted island, where he saw the captain of the ship had floated as well--but was dead. He gave the captain a proper burial, then built a boat which he used to sail off the island.
Hachacha
Eventually, Topper came across an island with other Pokemon. This island was called Hachacha. Here, he met Max, a Raichu, and Xewtwo, a Charmander. Xewtwo eventually evolved into a Charmeleon, then showing his full rage. Topper and Max, however, ended up provoking this rage by making fun of his name. When Xewtwo evolved into a Charizard, the island saw much destruction, and eventually everyone left.
However, strangely enough, a brand-new Hachacha eventually formed. Topper and Max once again returned, but now there was a new Raichu named Hikaru Max had met since the last Hachacha. Later, Topper would realize Hikaru was a Raichu he had saw on the ship he had been on a while ago, and in fact that captain he buried was Hikaru's father. Another new Pokemon was a Combusken named Phoenix.
Time passed as insanity raged on Hachacha and many strange events occured on the island, from an evil rock to the appearance of a hypno beam. However, at some point Topper's brother, Opt, returned, now a cyborg and wanting revenge. But like before, Opt was defeated, and also like before, Opt escaped once more.
Eventually, the strangest occurance took place: A portal to another world opened up, and out came some Kirbys, including a Kirby named Top. Top and Topper quickly became friends, and soon after a Yoshi named Oshy appeared. They became friends as well, but it would not last, as Hachacha was infected with a sudden plague, causing everyone to leave. Topper fell into a random portal, sending him to the strangest place yet...
The Yoshi Bodyguards
Topper found himself at a completely new world surrounded with strange creatures. However, he came across a group that called themselves The Yoshi Bodyguards, and joined them, recalling what a Yoshi was from Oshy. There, he met a Yoshi., Power Box, Sneezier, and Mack. Mack in particular gave Topper a key, although Topper never learned what it was for as it was late, and Topper ended up staying asleep all the next day, leaving him out of the first adventure.
Sometime later, Topper suddenly found himself turned into a Silver Shroom, the communicator Mack introduced. It was revealed Missingno. was the cause of this, and they had to journey into the Minus World to fix Topper. Once he was fixed, they were attacked by Dark Matter; it escaped, and then they began getting messages from someone saying Missingno. and Dark Matter were working together. It eventually turned out to be Sandbag, and Topper went with Sandbag to confront them. Unfortunately, it turned out Sandbag was evil and Dark Matter and Missingno. were working for him! Topper was possessed by Dark Matter, but when the rest of the YB came along they were able to save Topper and they escaped Sandbag's castle.
They weren't out of the frying pan yet, though, as they found themselves at yet another evil castle--the castle of Cackletta, Fawful and Gruntilda Winkybunion, who were now working together and had kidnapped Mario, Luigi, Banjo and Kazooie. The YB were able to rescue them, however, and destroyed the Witchy Fury Trio's castle. Soon after, Topper fell into a random portal that brought him back to his own planet, where he returned to Hachacha and stayed around for a while.
Boredom
Topper hung around Hachacha (meeting a Sneasel named Sneen whom he would encounter again later) until it was destroyed by a natural disaster. Or an unnatural one. He then found himself at Viridian Forest, where he met a white Butterfree named Rening. Rening was the descendant of an ancient Butterfree that had once saved the world, where Topper learned when he had to save the world once more from a demon Haunter named Nocktor. He later left the planet, returned to Star World, and lived in Top's House for a while. During this time, Mack came to Topper, sending him on the journey that began when they first met, eventually allowing him to use that key and get Yoshi a mushroom that allowed him to speak english. Also while at Top's House, Topper dropped a random torch on his foot, and he somehow learned Blaze Kick. Anyway, he eventually decided to return to the YB, learning Sneen had joined a while ago, during a time that happened to be when Top wasn't around due to Dark Top being in control at the time. Soon after though Dark Top was defeated and Topper was back in the YB.
Leaving the YB and the Priory of Eidolon
Once Topper was back with the YB, he helped them on several missions, but soon after left because he disliked how it was organized. He, Oshy and Top went to live at Top's house, but soon after a group of villains attempted to take over Star World. Topper and the others escaped, heading to the Pokeworld to hide out until they could return to save Star World from the villains. Soon after, while visiting the YB one night, he, Oshy, Top and some YBs were sent on a journey with Luigi. During this journey, Topper somehow gained some power over electricity and water, learning Spark and Whirlpool. However, unlike Dr. Pikachu, Topper decided against joining the Priory of Eidolon, mainly due to having just left another organization.
Orbs and Robots
The following Spring, Topper, Oshy and Top were once again called to action when a series of events occured that all involved some strange orbs. The 4th and final event involved some anti-forms of Topper, Oshy and Top, the Anti-Topper (aka A-TPR) being a robot of him; from his earlier fights with his cyborg brother, Topper gained a dislike of robots, causing him to dislike A-TPR quite a lot.
Early in the summer, Star World began to freeze over. The source of the freezing was found in the Underwhere; Sneen, who had left a while ago, had died, and his dark side had gotten free and was freezing over the Underwhere. They eventually were able to stop him, but killed Sneen in the process.
Over the rest of the summer, more orbs were found, until a total of 4 orbs were gotten--the Anti-forms had 2 of them. When the final fight against the Anti-forms began, they were destroyed, giving them 6 orbs. A 7th was found soon after, and it turned out they were from a planet far, far away Top had once been to. The orbs were brought back to that planet, and people stopped caring.
Darkness and Stuff
In the fall, Topper recieved a call from Rening about a growing evil he was sensing, so they headed off to the Pokeworld, only to learn that it was Nocktor once again, having absorbed the power of Giratina, Dialga and Palkia. They chased him through both time and dimensions, eventually coming across a dimension of deceased Ice types. They saw Sneen once again, where they learned he was happy now and with a Sneasel named Leila he once knew a long, long time ago. Topper was jealous, though--he had been wanting to find someone himself. There was no time to brood, however, as they continued chasing Nocktor until he was finally defeated with the help of some strange people from another dimension.
Later, in the Winter, Top became the ruler of a kingdom on Shiver Star. Topper went with him to help, but eventually the kingdom was invaded and they had to escape with a diamond of immense power. Topper entered the new year with a bad feeling of things to come, and indeed it did when Metal Top tried to steal the Master Emerald. Although they were able to stop it, the diamond was stolen when they returned and Top's House was destroyed. Oshy was able to get them some rooms in Gisho Castle, but before Topper could relax the Metal Army invaded Star World, causing him to go into action. He was shot out of a cannon.
A few days after the Metal Army Invasion was over was Valentine's Day, and Topper finally decided to go find someone. Instead, he found himself on an island full of Lopunny, and although he didn't want to leave at first, realized that they might try to sacrifice him, so he left, wishing all the while he could have stayed. When he returned, he convinced Oshy to let them stay at the castle instead of finding a new crummy house, and soon after they found out the Pokeworld was under invasion by Metal Top and an army of Pokemon Robots. When they arrived at the Pokeworld, they were caught in the middle of a space battle and were blasted down to the planet. When they came to, they found they were in the Silph Co. basement with a Lickitung named Slurp. They managed to break out and found Metal Top up on the roof. It escaped, leaving them behind.
Team TOT decided to go to Sunyshore City, where a Wobbuffet-shaped battleship was stationed, and there they met Relvia and Iris. After battling a Porygon-Z, which retreated into the ship, they entered the ship themselves but were sent into a portal bringing them into the ship's computers. They fought the Porygon-Z once more, but this time were able to defeat it. They attempted to disable the ship, but only caused it to begin going on a rampage in the city. The gym leader, Volkner, disabled it with an electric attack. Soon, all the robots had converged at Cerulean Cave, so Team TOT made their way there for the final fight: Metal Mewtwo. It turned out Metal Mewtwo was being powered by the diamond from earlier, and although it was defeated, Metal Top escaped, after which the diamond began to unleash its raw energy on the planet. It was going to destroy the planet when Top, in his star ship, used the Suplex ability to send the diamond far, far away. And so, the Pokeworld was saved.
The Dark Perforation Invasion
Less than two months later, The Dark Perforation launched a full-scale invasion on Star World, completely shielding off the planet from the outside, trapping it completely. Metal Top demanded their surrender, but the planet of course refused, and Topper went to The Mushroom Kingdom to help there, knowking he hadn't gone to help at Mekkai. At The Mushroom Kingdom, Minorbu had succeeded in taking control of Peach's Castle, so Topper helped Scorch and the others take back the castle.
With the help of Luigi, who had escaped the castle, they were eventually able to get inside and take the castle back, sending Minorbu retreating. Everyone then regrouped at the Mushroom Kingdom, after which Wario and Waluigi appeared out of nowhere. They revealed Diamond City had been taken over, but there was a portal to the space station controlling the shield over the planet, so a group left to Diamond City. Team TOT, however, stayed behind, only to go to Mount Mushmore to fight against the Anti-Team TOT, who they learned was made by The Dark Perforation. They were defeated, though, and their plan thwarted.
The other group was able to get into the space station and destroy the shield, freeing Star World. Thus, they began to discuss their next course of action. They had learned the location of The Dark Perforation Castle, their base, so they went off to try and defeat it once and for all. Topper was in the Judgment group, the group that would fight their way to the back of the castle, while the Crusade group would free what prisoners of the castle they could find. Topper and the others of the Judgment group fought against bizarre creatures (specifically, Topper fought against Dancing Shoes with help from Frob).
In the end, they were able to get into the back of the castle, where they fought against Minorbu, Orp and Hurtilu. Sub fought Minorbu 1-on-1, so Topper helped fight Orp and Hurtilu. The three of them were defeated, and then Metal Top came forth to fight them. Although it fought hard, it was defeated, deactivated and destroyed. Then came The Dark Perforation itself, who fought against them; they learned physical attacks couldn't harm it, so Topper didn't have a lot of options. After Shi'un managed to defeat it with her Final Smash, something went wrong...
The Dark Perforation began to form into what looked like a black hole, and Top was sucked right into it. Metal Top somehow opened a file which revealed The Dark Perforation to be a black hole conrolled by a space virus, after which everyone was also sucked into it. They appeared in an arena inside the black hole, and saw the virus, which said it had lost control over the black hole, but if it absorbed their energy it could regain control over it. They refused, of course, and the fight began.
The virus had a shield to protect it from any attacks until Queen Snophia Icle and Stawl used star power to break the shield, and Colin used an attack so powerful it damaged the virus badly but killed himself in the process; Oshy, Topper, Snophia, Glerk and Metal Chaos used a final team attack to destroy the virus for good. The castle began to disappear, and they hurried out just in time and watched as it disappeared, as well as everything The Dark Perforation had made. Topper was ready for a vacation, and they returned home to Star World.
Seeing Stars, See?
About a month later, while Topper was complaining about the script, a rocketship crashed into Gisho Castle, which was revealed to hold a shaman named Mershin and a baby star. Topper, Team TOT, PB and Sunset learned from Merlon that they should go to Starborn Valley to find his son, Merle, and along the way they found Gluposs, who was kicked out of the Crystal Palace by Crystal King. Before they could go any further, Crystal King and his army attacked them, but were defeated with help from Frob and Bread.
At Starborn Valley, they learned that a great evil, Kastrodoms, the author of The Dark Prognosticus, was likely about to begin his revenge for being killed years ago when he tried to take over Star World. The star was to be usd to stop his revenge, and the shaman they needed was north at the star temple. There, they met Wiggly Jr. again, then met the shaman they were looking for, Merlia.
Merlia had a vision that they needed Luigi to use the star, so they set out for Toad Town when Bowser and Kamek appeared. They were after the star, but were defeated in battle. Suddenly Kammy appeared with the Dark Prognosticus, revealing Kastrodoms was her ancestor and now she had the power of the Dark Prognosticus. Topper dug a hole underground and Team TOT, along with Gluposs and Merlia, escaped to find Luigi while the others stayed to fight Kammy.
Topper and the others made it to the Mario Bros. House and told them what was going on, and they hurried to Shooting Star Summit via underground. They went to Star Haven, and watched as Kammy and her army of Darkost ghosts attacked the Mushroom Kingdom. The Star Spirits gave them a boost of power and they went to Peach's Castle to fight Kammy. Luigi fell down a trapdoor while Darkost appeared to attack them, but Gluposs poofed into a kart and Top became Light Freeze Top to freeze the Darkost.
Near the castle top, they freed some characters Kammy had kidnapped, and then fought against Kammy herself. There were too many Darkost to get a hit in on Kammy until Luigi showed up and with the power of the baby star was able to hit Kammy and defeat her. The Dark Prognosticus then projected a ghost hologram of Kastrodoms, who revealed he now had the power to begin his revenge. They had used the baby star's power already, but the Star Spirits used their power to prevent Kastrodoms from summoning any Darkost, and eventually they destroyed Kastrodom's energy ghost and the Dark Prognosticus disappeared.
Other Team TOTers
About a month and a half later, Team TOT and some others were called by Snophia to help her--her kingdom had been on hard times since the reconstruction, and she had decided to get help from the planet's ruler, Chills Pacone, in order to keep her kingdom intact. She needed their help in the discussion with Chills. When they arrived, however, things went sour when Chills thought Sneezier and Light Top were Dark Sneezier and Dark Top. Chills had his boys fire on them, but Power Box was able to cause a momentary ceasefire for them all to figure out what was going on.
They learned that Chills father had been killed by Dark Sneezier and Dark Top when they began Darkcorp, and Chills wanted revenge. Luckily, Topper managed to convince Chills that this was a good thing, as in the death of Chills' father led to Chills being ruler of Shiver Star. At that, Chills agreed with that logic, and an agreement was quickly made between Snophia and Chills. Their work done, Team TOT returned to Gisho Castle... only to find Dark Top there!
Light Top was ready to fight, but Dark Top explained he was there for diplomatic relations. Specifically, he was now in rule of a planet known as Popworld, and wanted an alliance between it and Star World. There was tension and uneasiness, but something was worked out. Dark Top did mention, however, the former ruler of the planet, Blork, often caused trouble, and asked Team TOT and the others with them if they could do something about it. They found Blork and fought against his loyalists, but ultimately Blork escaped.
A few weeks later, Dark Top asked for more help concerning Blork, and they went to fight him again. This time, they actually fought against Blork himself, but before they delivered the final blow Blork wanted to make a proposition, for the two to work together against Dark Top, asking them if they really trusted him. Just then, a missile came down and exploded, followed by a volly of bullets that ended in Blork being killed. Metal Top then came down with blue eyes, rebuilt from being defeated before. Light Top began to go crazy, especially when Metal Top stated Dark Top as its master, but then listed Light Top as an ally.
Before Metal Top could leave, though, Dimentio appeared out of nowhere. He scrambled Metal Top's circuits, and it attacked Team TOT and the others. Metal Top was defeated, but then woke up, apparently after a rebooting, and was back! It was about to attack them when it opened up a new file which sent a massive wave across the planet, disabling all machinery. Sub quickly teleported them back to their ships and they escaped the planet before their ships were disabled. Light Top returned to Gisho Castle, hoping Dark Top would now be unable to do anything.
About a week and a half later, however, the machinery on the planet was running again and Dark Top declared war on Star World. Although Team TOT did no fighting in the war, less than a week after it began Dark Top was assassinated. Light Top began to panic, expecting to die any second, but Oshy froze him with an ice egg so they could try to find a way to keep him alive later. After Dark Top was supposedly killed, the war ended, and Star World attempted to bring democracy to the planet. Unfortunately, after this democracy made Dimentio the ruler of the planet, Oshy and Topper were called to help stop him.
Once they managed to defeat Dimentio in battle, they learned that Bowser had attacked the Mushroom Kingdom. They all hurried there, only to be trapped in an energy shield. Dark Top revealed himself to have not been killed, and Dimentio also appeared, the three having been in on the whole plan together. Dark Top explained his long and convoluted plan, but then Light Top crashed in from out of nowhere onto Dark Top. Bowser and Dark Top fought against Light Top, nearly defeating him, when Kamek and Kammy rushed in, saying that they had been betrayed by Dimentio!
A compact magic shield surrounded Bowser and Light Top, and Dark Top revealed he was working with Dimentio and betrayed Bowser. Dark Top brought out a large mech of Metal Top and went to take over the Koopa Kingdom, leaving Dimentio to take care of the others. Dimentio revealed his plan to kill Light Top as well, though, thereby killing Dark Top too. He was about to do so using one of Star World's own nukes when he was hit with ice bullets and frozen. Chills Pacone came in, saying he heard about Dark Top being there. Light Top said that he had to be the one to defeat Dark Top, however, because he had the power of sacrifice. Light Top went to fight Dark Top alone, and later they got a call from Top--Light and Dark Top had merged once more, ending the evil plan.
About a month later, Oshy was planning on going to Gisho Island with Apricot to set up a new society there. Top and Topper wanted to go, but due to Apricot they weren't allowed. Scorch also wasn't allowed to go, due to Oshy not wanting SWDF influence, but Top, Topper and Scorch decided to stow away in a suitcase along the way. Unfortunately, the suitcase fell out of the ship they were in and landed on the island below. They were stranded at some random location on Gisho Island, but Scorch had a map in his battle armor and there were two directions they could take, towards Deserted Plateau or Whomp Volcano.
They decided to go to Whomp Volcano, and after they climbed up to the top, Top fell inside and Topper and Scorch had to go get him. Inside they encountered a Whomp, even though no living creatures were supposed to be on the island, and then found Magigoomba inside, which gave them a quiz. They won the quiz and entered a warp pipe which brought them right to Bowser, who was attempting to build a new castle inside the volcano! They battled him, which ended in Bowser getting defeated. Soon after, however, the volcano erupted a little bit, sending the platform they were on flying out the volcano.
The platform crash-landed at the Rexeum of Deserted Plateau, where they found Dr. Tyrato and a large group of Shroobs. Dr. Tyrato battled against them, but was defeated, after which he and the Shroobs escaped. Top, Topper and Scorch decided to go to Gisho Town, but found the area to be empty, although the devices Oh Gee was using to measure various stats on the island was there. They went to Eggwood to try and find someone, and a random suitcase fell which Tron and [Hey You]] came out, and then found that Testube was caged by Bowser Jr., Kamek and Kammy. The three fought against them and won, rescueing Testube.
They returned to Gisho Town to find Oshy, Apricot, PB, Sunset and Sally there. This left Oh Gee as the only one left to find, but as it was getting late, they decided to look for him tomorrow. However, when they awoke, Apricot was gone and a message from Rexor was left to come to the lava pit. They went there to find a new castle Rexor built, and inside had to fight Shrowser, Bowser being controlled by the Shroobs.
Defeating him, they engaged in a long fight against Rexor, eventually defeating both a Dry Rexor and a giant, living Rexor, and in the end rescued Apricot. They then heard a voice call to Oshy to come to the Star Cavern, and there they found Oh Gee, as well as a purple yoshi named Lavinia: Oshy's mother (which Topper said was unfair, as he had never met his mother or father). Lavinia was merely a spirit there because of Rexor and Bowser meddling on the island, but did tell them one warning: Something was coming, something large in number, and it would come before they knew it.
Topper's Story
A month later, Opt appeared, coming to Team TOT asking for help. Topper was suspicious, but Opt gave a sincere apology, stating that there was someone trying to take over the Pokeworld. Team TOT agreed to go with him there, along with some of their friends. When they arrived, they went into Rock Tunnel, with Opt splitting so they could surround the villain. It turned out not to be a villain, but a Pachirisu with an enormous head, and although she was trying to take over Pokeworld, she claimed it to be for good reasons.
Either way, Opt suddenly came back in with some headphones Medulla had created, stating that he had brought them there to distract Medulla while he stole the headphones, and he blasted out. It turned out the headphones were an invention of Medulla's used to control Pokemon, but it had never worked. Opt had hooked it up to a Master Ball, however, so it would work, but for some reason it didn't. Opt, enraged, attacked them, but ended up losing and escaping. Danny and Tron then recieved a message on their PSes from Relvia, who said Cindek was under attack by Regirock, Regice and Registeel. They left to go to Cindek, where they fought against Regirock, then Regice at another city, and finally Registeel at a third. However, that was it--it all appeared to be over.
They all left Pokeworld, but as they were leaving, Top's Star Ship suddenly malfunctioned and it fell back to the planet. It landed at a place called Machu Pichu, a civilization of Pichu. When the other ships landed, including Danny's, the Pichu went into a panicked. They ended up attacking Danny and tying him up. At the time, Hey You had set up a fruit stand there, and explained the Pichu hate Pikachu for some reason. They tried to sacrifice Danny to their Pichu god (a giant Pichu), but Danny escaped and battled against it, along with the others helping out. During the fight, Topper was knocked back and fell in a bush, where he was dragged away by something.
SPOILER WARNING: Secret part details below.
Topper found that it was a female Arbok named Memery that was dragging him away, who apparently only wanted to talk. Topper tried to tell her he was busy fighting a giant Pichu, but Memery began to hypnotize him and wrap him up. It turned out she was working for Opt, but somehow forgot where she was supposed to meet him. Somehow Topper woke up, and after the two spoke for a while, Memery decided to let Topper go (as Topper later told Opt, Opt is really, really unlikable).
Okay Secret part time over.
Topper managed to find his friends fighting against Opt and a metal doppelganger of himself, and he joined in the fight. Angry, Opt began a one-on-one fight with Topper, which nearly ended in both of them being defeated, but in the end, Topper won. However, after Opt escaped again, he realized everyone had disappeared! Due to both being worn out from fighting and it being late, he fell asleep, and the next day found Opt busted up in a bush.
Opt explained that Metal Topper had betrayed him, so Topper agreed to help Opt defeat it. During the battle, however, Opt revealed his true intention was to let Metal Topper weaken him so he could be defeated once and for all. Just before the final blow, Memery came back, attacking Opt and Metal Topper. The two worked together, in addition to freeing Topper's friends from the cages they were in, and Metal Topper was destroyed. Opt attempted to escape, but was grabbed by Memery and caught.
With Opt caught, he was sent to an icy prison planet in the far reaches of the galaxy, and while everyone said their goodbyes, Topper said one final goodbye to Memery... what he didn't realize, however, is that after he left, Memery now had an egg...
Discrepancies
The Yoshi Bodyguards
Various stories in the YB are now defunk, including one where Topper was turned into a Polygon by Master Hand. The main descrepancy, however, involves Top, in that originally Topper had been mutated into a Kirby simply so that Topmonhit could have a character in his comics, as the only known sprites of Hitmontop at the time were horrible.
Hachacha
Hachacha was filled with discrepancies. One of the two biggest ones involves death--Topper died multiple times, mostly a cause of Max, and in each time he would come back to life. One of those times had him come back to life as an Octillery, but this is now non-canon. Instead, Octbert has taken that role of an Octillery. The other biggest discrepancy involves Hikaru, in which the original story had him in love with her. This is now non-canon as well, but unlike Top and Chibi, Topper is still friends with Hikaru.
Other discrepancies involve Top, Oshy and Topper all being "forms" of each other from other planets--this idea is defunk. Also gone from the stories are the vacation to Japan the characters of Hachacha did; the nonsensical problems of this prevent it from staying in the canon storyline.
Non-Canon Appearances
Topmonhit P-Mail
While never clearly stated as being non-canon or canon, Topmonhit P-Mail is considered to not be a part of the main storyline; however, Topper has been seen checking his P-Mail in Story 7 of Top Story, Designs Revisited in Part 7-1: Stormy Weather Ahead, as well as the Topmonhit Story '09 Valentime’s Day Special: Island of the Lopunny, in making the general premise of P-Mail canon, but the specific P-Mails themselves non-canon.
Tick Tack Emissary
Topper took the role of Jigglypuff in the Tick Tack Emissary. Because Jigglypuff did not have an actual appearance in it, however, Topmonhit came up with something himself: Topper appeared in Dehydrated, Dehydrated Ruins when Some Pokemon Trainer (Pokemon Trainer) and Cinder (Lucas) encountered him. SPT tried to catch him, but Cinder convinced him not to. They then continued to the bottom of the ruins.
In The Ruined Colosseum, a giant welding torch fell from above--it was Weldar, and along with him was Wargutz (Wolf), who attacked them. In the end, they were defeated, turning Wargutz into a trophy. Weldar suddenly gained a Tick Tack Bomb and rocket engines; he then grabbed Topper, SPT and Cinder and brought them into the sky. Cinder melted Weldar's neck with lava, freeing them, and they were saved from crashing to the ground by Spirit (Meta Knight), a Kirby. They then met Kooptopher (Marth) and Power Box (Ike).
Later, on Mt. Neverest, the group of 7 watched as the Nightwind IV (Great Fox) and Pirate Ship (Halberd) battled. Spirit suddenly flew off, heading up Mt. Neverest, leaving Topper and the others behind.
In The Notso-Grand Canyon, Paper (Ice Climbers) fell from above out of nowhere, after which Shadow Insects appeared, forming Primid that began to attack them. Suddenly Top (Kirby), Kyle (Mario), Tron (Pit), Sunset (Yoshi), and Murid (Link) appeared to battle the Primid. Later on, the Ghost Ship along with the Danny Cruiser came, uniting all the heroes of the TTE.
When the heroes entered the Tick Tack Dude forum, they found Koogar (Bowser) and Darkly (Ganondorf) as trophies, along with The Cloud (Master Hand) on the ground. They then saw Count Bleah (Tabuu), who suddenly turned all the heroes into trophies.
Later, Topper was untrophied by Sneezier (Snake) when Top had begun untrophying characters due to his untrophying by a special badge he had eaten. In a part never shown, Topper would have appeared in the YB along with Danny (Pikachu), Subsourian the Dark (Fox), and PB. In the finale, Topper helped battle against Count Bleah, although he fell off the stage when an attack of his missed. But, in the end, Count Bleah was defeated, and there was a happy ending.
Nintendo Anecdote 3: Not Really a Trilogy
Topper appeared in Nintendo Anecdote 3 in Act 3, claiming to help out The Clone Army get the pieces of the Triforce. He went into the Courage Sector, trying to get the Courage Triforce, but Ripvor stole it before they could. Eventually, someone stole it back, but when everyone converged at Hyrule Castle in order to summon Nova and make a wish, Topper burst in, slammed into everyone, and wished the Clone Army away. Topper then disappeared in a cloud of smoke; in the end, it was revealed Topper was merely a game piece The Cloud was using.
Top's RP That Doesn't Actually Have a Name

In this Role Play, Topper, Oshy and Top were sent to a strange world along with some other characters to participate in a series of missions involving various characters. Topper has been his regular self like the others.
Personal Information
Personality
Out of Top and Oshy, Topper has seen to be the one with the least personality according to Topmonhit. From what he can tell, Topper is somewhere between Top and Oshy in terms of seriousness and oddness. He thinks of him as somewhat more balanced in terms of personality, although his intelligence is seen as slightly less than Top's. He sometimes seems to act sarcastic.
He is the strongest of Team TOT, and the best fighter. This is likely because he's a Fighting Pokemon, but it might also be due to the fact the other two are a Kirby and Yoshi. Out of the general Pokémon natures, he is said to be of the brave nature (whether this means anything personality-wise or not is unknown), and so while he enjoys spicy food (ooh, that raises coolness), he doesn't have much of a sweet tooth. On a side note, his favorite berry is the Tamato Berry, known for its intense spicyness. Along with this, he is sometimes a bit of a daredevil, such as when he jumped straight into Whomp Volcano in Return to Gisho.
He can also tend to be a bit quick to act and not paying attention, as shown when he grabbed a fire flower and an ice flower instead of his Palladium Fire Flower on a couple occasions. He has a dislike for tight organizations, which is the reason he left the YB, and also has a dislike for most robots. His dislike for them has been lessening recently, but his hatred for evil robots is still strong. It seems this came about due to his brother, Opt.
It has recently surfaced that he is also in search of love; he feels somewhat lonely, and is a bit jealous of his friends that have found love. Ever since Topper's Story, however, it seems that he has stopped such searches, although no one (except him) is sure why. He also says that life is unfair to him sometimes, such as when Oshy met his mother (albeit the spirit) and yet he hadn't met neither his mother nor father. There also may be some secrets he's been hiding...

Topper has the Technician Pokemon Ability, allowing his weaker moves to gain in strength. He also has Intimidate, although he doesn't do it very well. He currently knows 26 Pokemon attacks, including:

Like all Hitmontop, Topper can spin around on his head and has high strength in his feet. He gained the ability to use Blaze Kick when he accidently dropped a torch on his foot once, and he learned Spark and Whirlpool when he gained electric and water powers while he was helping out Luigi in Omnia Causa Fiunt.

Family
Topper's parents are a complete enigma. Not only did he never know who they were, but the very thought of his mother is complicated, as based on the video games, his mother would have to be a Ditto. WHO WANTS A DITTO FOR A MOTHER!?
Opt
Opt is the only family Topper known, which is unfortunate, as they became bitter enemies when Topper tried to stop Opt from continuing his raging distruction. When Opt was defeated by Topper, he wanted to increase his power, so he made himself into a cyborg. This, however, was not enough to defeat Topper, and so he went somewhat insane, attempting to take control of some legendaries. In Topper's Story, Opt attempted to kill Topper and his friends in a series of plans, but in the end was defeated and sent to the icy prison planet known as Torres.
Aob
It has been confirmed not only that Aob is Topper's descendant, but Aob's other ancestor has been confirmed as well (Memery). Aob and Topper have never met, however, due to Aob living 500 years in the future, in the time of Yoki Yoki. Aob is a professional bounty hunter (like Memery), and is rather cold-blooded (due to being an Arbok! Duh!) She often uses the money she obtains lavishly, and is about 23 feet long (Memery's length was never specified), as well as the pattern on her hood being blue and green instead of red and yellow. She also inherited the hypnosis ability from Memery.
Alternate Forms
Anti-Topper
Anti-Topper, or A-TPR, was a robot of Topper built by The Dark Perforation (Metal Top's creator). In reality, though, A-TPR was a robotic shell for an exceedingly weak and somewhat limp Anti-Topper.
Interactions with Other Characters
Top
- Main Article: Top Mon Hit
Top and Topper are seen as best friends, as Topper is more like Top than Oshy. Occasionally, though, Topper is annoyed by Top's antics. Top and Topper met before either one had met Oshy. When Topper came to Star World to set up a permanent residence there, Top allowed him to stay at his house, showing the two do indeed have a strong bond.
Oshy

Topper and Oshy are good friends, although they sometime disagree on things. Topper is better friends with Top, although he is seen as middle ground between the three on seriousness/randomness. Oshy sometimes also has Topper throw his eggs, given Topper is stronger than Oshy. It's also known that Topper is somewhat jealous of Oshy having Apricot.
Rening

Topper and Rening are fairly good friends, given Topper had lived with him for some time after Hachacha was destroyed. When Rening contacted Top, Oshy and Topper in Pokemon Platinum 3: Time, Space & Darkness, it was Topper's PS that he actually called.
Sneen

Topper and Sneen are good friends, although Topper does think Sneen is a bit reclused sometimes. Like with Oshy, Topper is apparently jealous that he has Leila, but is happy for him that he's finally found a place where he can be at peace.
Metal Top

Possibly the only person who dislikes Metal Top more than Topper is Top; however, Topper may dislike him more. It all stems from his large dislike of robots, though.
Testube

Out of the main members of Team TOT, Topper is the only one who can understand Testube, and thus Topper sometimes translates what he says. While overall Topper is indifferent to him, he is on good terms with Testube.
Chibi

Topper has a dislike for Chibi's rotten attitude such as when Sneen died and she was a big jerk about it. However, they seem to get along a bit better than Chibi does with most people, Doopliss aside. Either way, Topper would rather be stuck with not-Chibi than Chibi most of the time.
Coshi

Topper somewhat respects Coshi as a warrior, but on the other hand, doesn't know him very well enough.
Danny

Topper, like most others, enjoys making fun of Danny often. He and Danny are on somewhat indifferent terms, as Topper is with a number of characters, but Topper doesn't seem to hold a lot of respect for him.
Frob and Bread

Topper is on good terms with these two, and when he encountered them after The Great Creator & The Great Destroyer (in which they supposedly deserted), he essentially pretended he didn't know they deserted, as he didn't care what the SWDF thought of it.
Hikaru
Topper thinks of Hikaru as a good friend, even if she is a bit strange sometimes. He sometimes wonders where she ended up, but has never gotten around to trying to find her again.
Mack
Topper has pretty much given up on ever getting anything for doing that mission, and says Mack owes him money now. Or at least a pizza with Tamato Berry sauce.
Max
Topper and Max are on the shakiest terms ever. One minute, they're on good terms, the next, Max is trying to kill Topper. Topper normally thinks of Max as criminally insane, and tries to put him out of his mind.
Metal Sneezier

Topper dislikes Metal Sneezier a lot, although due to timeline problems he was unable to go help in the invasion of Mekkai.
Scorch

Topper knows Scorch is a strong fighter, but tends not to conversate with him due to him being a soldier; a clone soldier, at that, whose main purpose is to be a soldier. He's definately willing to help out, though. Sub wants them to develop a friendly relationship since they both have the "wanting a girl" thing going on, but Topmonhit keeps forgetting about it. In Return to Gisho, howver, this friendship seems to have furthered as the two worked very well together and helped one another out. In Topper's Story, however, the "wanting a girl" thing ended for Topper; as no one knows this for sure, however, the future is uncertain.
Sera

Topper, like Top, doesn't like kids very much, and doesn't even really know how to act around them.
Shi'un

Topper thinks Shi'un is weird, and didn't really want her to stay in Gisho Castle at first, but got over it and is mostly neutral now.
Sneezier

Despite Sneezier being a robotics fanatic, Topper is on pretty good terms with Sneezier. He would prefer not to spend an abundance of time around Sneezier, mainly due to the number of robots, but they're okay.
Subsourian

Topper is somewhat distrusting about Sub, but doesn't show it, nor does he think Sub is going to turn on them or anything. Sub is somewhat part of the reason Topper left the YB, although the main reason is more general than just Sub.
Trivia
- Topper has the same last name as Top due to originally having the same name as Top, not to mention originally being the same person as Top, then later the same person only from a different planet.
- For Halloween 2008, Topper went as Banjo.
- It is assumed that he's one of very few characters to have sex with another character. The other couples are Coshi and Plasshi, and Eli and Blossom.
