Professor Oh Gee
From Yb Timeline
"Anyway, we at Oh Gee Labs have finally developed a non-damaging warp pipe unclogger."
-Professor Oh Gee, Oh Gee Labs Comic 2
Professor Oh Gee is the former leading professor of Gisho Island. He is said to be a cross between Professor Elvin Gadd and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. He has an assistant named Testube, and although he makes various kooky inventions, sometimes he does come up with something worthwhile. He was the one to bring Oshy, his brothers and Apricot off the doomed Gisho Island.

History
Life on Gisho Island
For most of Professor Oh Gee's life he has been a professor, studying various things on Gisho Island and occasionally inventing some things. Details about his early life are vague, but it's known at one point he lived at Whomp Volcano, studying all the whomps there. Unfortunately, when the volcano erupted, it ruined all his research. At this point, he decided to go return to Gisho Town, but it wasn't long after that he found a meteor was falling towards the island.
He did some calculations and figured the island civilization would be destroyed. There was only time enough to build two boats, and Oh Gee rode on one with the princess, Apricot, while the other had the princess' caretaker's sons, Yisho, Oshy, Sonic the Yoshi, Shadow the Yoshi, and Jalapeno. They watched as the island was hit with the meteor, killing everyone on the island.
While their course was set for Yoshi's Island, a storm arose while they sailed which separated the two boats. Oh Gee assumed that the five brothers hadn't made it, and continued on for Yoshi's Island, eventually reaching it. There, he raised Apricot until she was mature, and began his new company, Oh Gee Labs.
Oh Gee Labs
Soon after beginning Oh Gee Labs, Oh Gee obtained an assistant in the form of Testube. Testube often acted more like a guinea pig, though not always, and sometimes simply just had bad luck. Eventually Oh Gee made an improvement to Professor E. Gadd's time machine: It now doubled as a coffee maker. Apricot used it to go to the past of Gisho Island, and soon after a group of yoshis came to Oh Gee, whom he realized were the yoshis on the other boat he thought had died.
When the time machine returned a strange, alien yoshi came out and Apricot was gone. A time hole opened that Oshy and Yisho went in to find Apricot as Oh Gee studied the alien yoshi, called a shoshi. Oshy and Yisho fought the shoshis in the past Gisho Island until Apricot was rescued. Oh Gee helped administer the rather disgusting weakness of the shoshis throughout the island to destroy them: baby vomit.
Oh Gee traveled to Pokeworld when Star World had been taken over by a group with a machine that could control dreams, and later helped save sunken cruise ship with a ship he designed to resist whirlpools. He later developed a suitcase with technology installed he called Egghold, which he gave to Oshy. About that time he found a Chaos Emerald outside his lab, and helped locate the others on the planet for Oshy and his allies to gather.
Moving into Gisho Castle
Eventually Oh Gee and Testube moved their lab to Gisho Castle, and not too long after Team TOT moved in as well. Oh Gee, along with Oshy, Apricot, and Testube, escaped from the castle when the Metal Army invaded Star World. When The Dark Perforation invaded Star World, he also tried to pierce through the barrier that surrounded the planet with a giant mirror that would reflect the sunlight back, although he then realized the barrier blocked the sunlight.
When the rocketship inhabited by Mershin and a baby star crashed into Gisho Castle, Oh Gee helped piece together how fast Mershin's ship was going: so close to the speed of light that it felt like only one year to him while it was instead centuries on Star World. He also fixed a deactivated Stuffwell after a vast EMP magic wave disabled all technology, including Stuffwell, on Popworld.
When Oshy and Apricot decided they would try to re-inhabit Gisho Island, Oh Gee and Testube traveled there for some tests and research on the island's current state. Soon after arriving, though, Testube disappeared. Oshy and the others arrived a week later and went to look for him; during that time a purple yoshi came to Oh Gee, whom he recognized as Lavinia, Oshy's Mother. He followed her to Star Cavern, as she said evil forces were gathering on the planet. When those forces were defeated, Lavinia revealed to be a spirit.
A Year of Darkness
Oh Gee continued to live at Gisho Castle when Rexor began to buy Darawcrea to attack them with. During an attack from above, Oh Gee explained to Topper how to fly Top's Star Ship, which eventually led to him wrecking it. Oh Gee rebuilt it, though, expanding it a bit to fit more people inside. He attempted to help Topper when he had been transformed into a puppet, but his technology failed. He later designed what he called the Ultra Melon, a melon so nutritious that it was like eating 30 at once. About this time a Darawcrea designed to look like a yoshi had been brought in, and ate the melon, growing to a monstrous size and attacking the castle.
Sometime later Oh Gee entered a invention showcase with a machine able to transform sludge into hot fudge. As it turned out, Dr. Tyrato had built a machine that did the same thing, but his machine was transformed into a Darawcrea and attacked the showcase. After it was destroyed, Oh Gee still lost the contest to Parnky and a pranking device. Later, when a string of magical chain letters was causing destructive bad luck to the whole of Star World, it was Oh Gee who pointed out they could send all the letters back to the one who sent the first letter, Count Bleah.
After the Darawcrea were all destroyed and the thread from them was over, Oh Gee accompanied Top, Oshy, Topper and others to Popstar, to live there instead of Star World. After Team TOT joined the Warpstarmy, Oh Gee accompanied them to Neo Star for some geology work, stumbling upon the laboratory Team TOT had been sent to disable and setting it to self-destruct for them.
A couple years later, when Rexor succeeded in conquering Star World, Oh Gee saw Team TOT off in going to Star World to fight. However, because Apricot wanted to come along to help and snuck on-board their ship, Oh Gee followed to try and talk her out of it. He mostly remained on the ship, watching the battles take place.
Personal Information
Personality
Professor Oh Gee is a rather kooky scientist who will often overlook things and can be shortsighted. He does make some useful inventions, though, but also makes some useless ones. He's good-natured and very few things actually get him down. He is very eager in what he does, and can often be seen studying things in his lab or working on some invention. Although he doesn't have the same prestige as other scientists, he's nowhere near incompetent.
Appearance
Oh Gee is a brownish-tan yoshi (his color is brown, but it's somewhat faded) with large, spiral glasses. He's also probably wrinkly or something due to being old.
Inventions
- Pudding Glue
- Plum Peeler
- Robot Banana
- A device to turn gold into lasagna
- The Melonpeeler
- Mobile Beaker
- Warp Pipe Unclogger
- Egghold
- Nuclear Lamp
- Food Laser
- Whacka Transporter (or a wagon fulla dirt)
Residence
Oh Gee previously resided in a lab on Yoshi's Island, but later moved to Gisho Castle. He ad his lab situated in the castle, somewhere in the basement. After Team TOT left he moved to a new lab on Popstar.
Interactions with Other Characters
Oshy Gisho
- Main Article: Oshy Gisho
Professor Oh Gee is always glad to help Oshy out if he needs it. Although he didn't know Oshy very well as a baby, the two work together and are friends. Oh Gee enjoys Oshy's company, and almost sees himself as a sort of mentor, except for the fact Oshy doesn't do any inventing and isn't a scientist.
Princess Apricot Gisho
- Main Article: Princess Apricot Gisho
Oh Gee and Apricot share a bond that isn't shown very often; Oh Gee was essentially the one to raise her, so the two have had a lot of time together. Apricot gets help from Oh Gee sometimes, and Oh Gee sometimes gets help from her; the two are good friends, and Oh Gee lives at Gisho Castle, which is technically owned by Apricot.
Testube
- Main Article: Testube
Although Oh Gee's oversights get Testube into a lot of trouble and pain, he does care for his lab assistant well. Despite this, he does sometimes seem to treat Testube like a guinea pig... the two are often seen together, though, and are friends, even if Testube gets the short end of the stick from Oh Gee's experiments.
Dr. Tyrato
- Main Article: Dr. Tyrato
Oh Gee and Dr. Tyrato have not actually really encountered one another, but it is interesting to note that the two share similar roles on opposite sides: Dr. Tyrato is Rexor's scientist, and Oh Gee is a scientist that is a friend of Oshy's. The two have also twice created an invention or did an experiment simultaneously that were very similar without knowledge of the other.
Trivia
- Oh Gee is based off a combination of both Professor E. Gadd and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.
- Oh Gee's actual name is said to be Oltin Gisho, but this name is never actually used.
- It's been said that Oh Gee Labs is actually a subsidiary of Topmonhit Inc.
- Oh Gee is slated to return in the new universe written by Duth Olec and set to be published, still with a rather similar role. He lacks any connection to the new Apricot, but is now Oshy and his siblings' uncle. He is no longer a professor or scientist, though, simply a dabbler who is keenly interested in scientific endeavors. His personality is largely the same, though. His name is currently undecided, but it won't be a pun based on E. Gadd's name.
