Gisho Island

From Yb Timeline

I'll get a quote for this later.

-Topmonhit

Gisho Island is an island far out at sea on Star World, and is the home of Oshy and other yoshis whose last name is Gisho. Rexor is also from here. It was hit by a meteor long ago, though, and everyone still on the island died... more or less. Recently Oshy and the other Gishos have been planning to reestablish a society there.

History

Long, long ago, there was a small island near Donut Plains that the two were connected by via a bridge. However, one day, an earthquake occured, and the island broke off and began to drift away. Eventually, it drifted out far beyond any other land, and it became known as Gisho Island.

Time passed, and there began to be two warring groups on the island: The yoshis and the rexes. At one point, however, these two groups signed a peace treaty. The treaty would be violated, however, by Prince Rexor, who thought the treaty was a bunch of bologna. His plan wouldn't work out, though, as a group of aliens known as the Shoshis would appear and tried to take over the island. They failed thanks to the efforts of Oshy and Yisho, two of the sons of the royal guardian (Duller) of the princess of the Gishos, Apricot.

Soon after the Shoshis were warded off, a meteor was found heading for the island. As quickly as they could, the yoshis began to build boats, but only had enough time to build two. There was only room for Duller's sons, the princess, and the leading professor on the island, Oh Gee. Thus, they were saved from the destruction, watching as everyone they ever knew was destroyed...

On the other side of the island, the rexes also built a boat to save Prince Rexor, and he eventually became King Rexor.

Oshy and his brothers would return to Gisho Island on a few occasions, such as when they learned of their past, and the island would almost be hit by another meteor again. However, Oshy and The Yoshi Bodyguards was able to stop it, and learned the one who attacked the island originally was Bowser's father, Morton Koopa Sr. He was defeated, and the island continues to be uninhabited... supposedly.

Eventually Rexor returned to the island to make a hidden, secret castle, during which he partnered up with the Shroobs. At some point Bowser found the island and went there as well. After both of them got there, Oshy began making plans to recolonize the island. Oh Gee and Testube went on ahead, then a week later the others came, but found the island to have both Rexor and Bowser's forces on it. After defeating them one-by-one, there was one final battle with Rexor at his castle, after which both forces were sent off the island, and it is presumed recolonization will begin soon.

Sally mentioned that it will become one of the best universities of the Galaxy, simply called the University of Gisho.

Present:

Former Gisho Town

A town near the center of the island. It was destroyed when the meteor hit the island. Princess Apricot's castle used to be just north of here, too.

Egg Village

A village where Easter is the biggest holiday. Also destroyed.

Lava Pit

Just a pit of lava. Prince Rexor's castle was once here, but it was destroyed. Rexor built a brand new castle there, but abandoned it after being defeated there.

Eggwood

Some woods that eventually regrew after the meteor.

Yoshi Hills

A hill where a group of yoshis used to live, obviously it's now empty.

Deserted Plateau

It's not really deserted. It's just a plataeu that is similar to a desert. The Rexeum... uh... well... it was supposedly destroyed in the meteor blast, but due to super plothole stuff, it came back to existance.

Whomp Volcano

A volcano that had whomps everywhere once. It's now an inactive volcano. King Whomp once lived here as Prince Whomp, actually. There is an unfinished castle that Bowser had begun building inside it.

Star Cavern

A cavern which was used as a shrine for stars, amazingly it didn't get very damaged when the meteor hit. Oshy once met the spirit of his mother here.

Trivia

  • The layout of the island is taken from the layout of the Mushroom Kingdom in M&LPIT (this was due to Oshy & Yisho: Partners in Lemon-Lime).
  • It is presumed the island will begin recolonization soon. Hinting Sally's backstory studying at this location.
