Count Bleah is an evil, interdimensional dark mist of unknown origin. All that's really known is that it was created between dimensions and was able to escape into a dimension where it took over a Poppy Bros. Sr.'s body. At the end of Tick Tack Emissary, he was defeated, and he lost control over the body, but then returned in The Dark Cloud with a new body made of cloud.

Top Story Bio
Evil. Evil. Evil. From what has been revealed in TTE and The Cloud's Origin, Count Bleah was once nothing more than a collection of a sort of dark mist or something. It existed between dimensions, but one day it was able to condense enough and form a portal to another dimension. There, it quickly found a Poppy Bros. Sr. and took over its body, gaining that form. He then went to various dimensions, causing chaos and destruction. Eventually the events of The Cloud's Origin occured, then later the Tick Tack Emissary occured, the end of which had Count Bleah lose the form he had and was trapped in a black chest at an unknown location.
History
Ancient Times to Somewhat Present
Count Bleah's origin is shrouded in mystery, darkness, and the fact that it's hard to get between dimensions. However, it is known that it was originally a dark, shadowy mist from between dimensions that sort of just floated there for eons. Eventually, it somehow gained a common sentience and learned to harden itself enough to form a portal into a dimension. It happened upon the planet Popstar in whatever dimension it came to, and possessed a Poppy Bros. Sr., taking control of its body.
For countless millenia, Count Bleah traveled dimensions, coming across various societies which he brought his wrath of chaos and destruction upon. Not much is known of his deeds, but one notable example is when he came across two societies in a steppe that were at constant war with one another. Count Bleah came to one society and gained favor among the people, gaining a position of power within it until he came to rule. He then went to the other society, sold out the first to them, and the second society won the war, destroying the first society. Count Bleah then became a hero of the second society, gained power in it just as he did the first, and then finally destroyed the society himself.
Count Bleah continued his evil exploits until at one point, he became aware of someone known as Topmonhit who had significant power over the dimensions. Realizing this Topmonhit may spoil his fun, he tracked him to his planet of origin, a somewhat small, blue planet named Terra. Details of the events that occured are sketchy, with several different possible tales. What is known that in the end, Count Bleah destroyed the planet, hoping to destroy Topmonhit in the process.
However, as he would learn later, he had failed to destroy Topmonhit, as he still existed in a flying cloud. Whenever the two met, there would be animosity, sometimes leading to destruction. It also often led to a stalemate. At one point, Count Bleah nearly defeated Topmonhit, at a point where he was temporarily outside of The Cloud, all the while making a pact with another who had taken Topmonhit previously, but in the end AFLAC, "the robot that follows Topmonhit around" stopped Count Bleah and stuff.
Tick Tack Emissary
Seeing that he had been stopped by Topmonhit's robot AFLAC, Count Bleah decided to attack it. He found the robot in a pocket dimension near a dimension known as Tick Tack Dude, and took over Tick Tack Dude, kidnapping the character of the same name that lived there. He then attacked the floating island AFLAC and a large number of ROBs were on, and sent out a distress signal to Topmonhit. The Cloud arrived, but after Topmonhit came out, Count Bleah took control of The Cloud and forced Topmonhit to begin building "Tick Tack Bombs".
Although Count Bleah couldn't figure out everything about The Cloud, he did use it to get three beings in the dimension, Darkly, Koogar and I.M. Ugly, to join him and begin rounding up other beings in the dimension while Topmonhit, in disguise, sent out the Tick Tack Bombs so that AFLAC and the ROBs wouldn't be destroyed. After they were anyway in a massive Tick Tack Bomb explosion, Topmonhit joined the heroes and entered Tick Tack Dude, which Count Bleah had been waiting. When Darkly found out Count Bleah was controlling The Cloud, he tried to attack him, having been plannting to try and stop the plan all along.
Instead, Count Bleah blasted him away, turning him into a trophy, and then turned all the heroes that had arrived into trophies as well. He then warped the dimension around him for some reason, but eventually the heroes returned for one final fight. Although Count Bleah seemed unbeatable, Topmonhit obtained a Smash Ball and regained control of The Cloud, using it to weaken Count Bleah enough for everyone to defeat him; he lost control of the Poppy Bros. Sr. body, and it became nothing more than a dark mist once more, floating up through a portal into a dark chest on an unknown planet.
Head in a Cloud
Although a tiny amount of Count Bleah somehow leaked out, Count Bleah itself would not escape until one year later, when its chest was opened by the hocotation Louie. When Count Bleah escaped, it took temporary control of Louie's body, and the next day attacked Captain Olimar using a Titan Dweevil. However, as Count Bleah was somewhat weak and not used to the new body, the Titan Dweevil was destroyed, as was his staff, and it lost control over Louie's body. As Count Bleah floated up, it passed through some clouds, and got an idea, binding to the molecules that made up the cloud, and forming a new body that way.
With Count Bleah's new cloud body, it located the splinter that had split from it and brought the morphs under its control. It then teleported to Star World, knowing it was a planet Topmonhit favored, and took over Nimbus Land, locking all the residents in the castle. Mario, a hero of the Mushroom Kingdom, arrived, and was also locked up. Afterwards Team TOT and Luigi arrived, and Count Bleah brought forth its army of morphs to attack the planet.
Unfortunately for Count Bleah, the morphs were beaten back and defeated; enraged, Count Bleah began to attack Team TOT and the Mario Bros., nearly killing them until Subsourian the Dark arrived to fight it, but even this was not enough, and Count Bleha was about to destroy the planet when Topmonhit arrived to attack Count Bleah. Count Bleah revealed one of its new abilities, turning into a replica of The Cloud, and the two began to battle with such collossal energy and power that the dimension nearly broke apart, but Topmonhit scattered the dimensions around, flinging Count Bleah to an unknown dimension.

Personality
Count Bleah is cold, vile, cruel, ruthless, and overall not nice. It is sadistic, and enjoys the pain and suffering of others. It creates longwinded plans and watches as they slowly unfold, spreading chaos and discomfort in a long and complicated way to amplify the effect, usually ending in a simple destruction of it all. It won't hesitate to use others, to pit friends against each other, to lie to make people hate one another, or to spark and begin a war, all for the amusement of watching chaos. That is the only reason Count Bleah ever does anything--simply for the amusement of it.
Appearance
Count Bleah's appearance with no body is that of a shadowy mist that just floats there. Its first actual body was a Poppy Bros. Sr. with a gray hat, clothes and shoes, a monocole over its left eye, and a staff with a shadowy mist with an orb that holds shadowy mist just like the actual Count Bleah inside. Its cloud body has the appearance of a humanoid storm cloud, with yellow, lightning bolt-like eyebrows and a black robe with a white stripe down the middle. It wears brown shoes, and holds a staff just like the previous one.
Abilities
Count Bleah has a very wide range of abilities that aren't always kept the same. It can possess bodies, fire dark energy from its staff and other shadow-like attacks (such as dark waves and bursts), teleport through space and dimensions, the creation of portals, the creation of pocket dimensions, and possibly more. With its cloud body, it can split apart without being hurt and is also able to form into a replica of The Cloud with even more power than usual.
Some abilities that have appeared but may not be canon include shape-shifting and hypnosis.
Final Smash: Doom
...It’s total, unequivocal doom. No one has ever seen it. At least, seen it and lived to tell it. It’s said that it would destroy the fabric of space and time itself, though.
...or this is an excuse so I don't have to make one.
Items
Bleah Staff
When in possession of a body, Count Bleah always carries around a staff filled with dark energy. This dark energy is 75% of the actual Count Bleah, with the remaining 25% inside the body. Most of Count Bleah's strength and energy comes from the staff, and it uses most of its attacks from it. It also appears to be that if the staff is shattered, Count Bleah will lose control of its body. This has only happened once, however, in a non-canon story.
Bodies
Count Bleah has had three known bodies. As Count Bleah itself has no gender, the gender of Count Bleah depends on what body it possesses. When it possesses the body of a living being, it has only limited control over said body until it becomes used to it. When Count Bleah is in control of the body, it doesn't appear to age, but it does in fact age rapidly if it loses control of the body (as shown when Count Bleah lost control of the Poppy Bros. Sr. body). If Count Bleah loses control early, however, no damage will be done to the body at all (as shown with Louie).

Interactions with Other Characters
Topmonhit

Count Bleah dislikes Topmonhit for attempting to stop its evil fun, and oftentimes tries to destroy him. However, every time Count Bleah has the ability to destroy him, it instead either uses him for its own gain, or uses the current situation towards its own gain before destroying him (the scenario of which it speaks of led to the situation changing, and preventing it from destroying Topmonhit). Every time they meat, Count Bleah won't hesitate to attack.
Team TOT

Count Bleah holds contempt towards Team TOT, both for being a thorn in its side when they appear and for apparently being in Topmonhit's favor. It will attack them when they appear, but often more indirectly.
Darkly

Although Count Bleah has only met the TTE dimension version of Darkly, it used him in its plan there as a pawn, although Darkly was planning to try and put a stop to the plan all along (not realizing it was, in fact, Count Bleah pulling the strings).
Subsourian the Dark

Count Bleah realizes Sub's power, but finds anyone that attempts to fight it foolish. Count Bleah recognizes Subsourian has powers similar to his own, but Count Bleah's powers surpassing that of Sub's. Count Bleah may look out for Sub in the future, and may try to use him to cause chaos on Star World provided it can alude The Cloud...
Trivia
- An earlier sprite of Count Bleah's cloud body has been found, with the left eye (the one formerly covered by a monocole) a void-like hole. It was revealed in a "special" story that Count Bleah's eye under the monocole (while a Poppy Bros. Sr.) was, in fact, just a small void-like hole.
