The Plot of Evil Dreams is the first Topmonhit Story... story. It finishes up an arc Topmonhit had begun, but didn't finish in The Yoshi Bodyguards due to the slowness of the RP.

Story

Part 1-1: Something Strange and Mystical

The story began with a part that had very little to do with the rest of the story. One night, in a Rogueport alley, a chalk-colored kirby named Kreafty was given some mysterious items and a set of blueprints by an unknown person (who turned out to be Fawful). The next day, Kreafty had completed whatever it was; it looked like a Wii remote, but he was able to use it to turn a goomba into a AA battery. Just then, Top appeared, complaining to him and taking his device away until he could handle having such a device.

Meanwhile, at Top's House, Sneen was packing things away for his leave to Fahr Outpost. Top showed up with the device, but then Kreafty barged in and took it back, after which he turned Top into a snail. He then went on a rampage, turning everything into this and that. Topper and Sneen went to go stop him, while Oshy did some research, learning that everything would return to normal if the remote was broken.

Stuck as a snail at his house, Top began watching some TV when the news came on. Unable to get to the remote, he was forced to watch the news, but was able to learn that the Star Rod at the Fountain of Dreams was stolen by Cackletta, Fawful and Grunty. After Topper and Sneen were able to get Kreafty's device and break it (after which he was arrested and sent to jail), Top told Oshy, Topper and Sneen what he had learned and they sent messages out via Platinum Shroom across the galaxy to try and locate them.

Part 1-2: “We’re going to Earth? CAN WE GO TO JAPAN AGAIN?!”

The next day, they returned to helping Sneen pack when Pyro, Danny, Lucky and Sneezier showed up. After some conversationing, Oshy got a call from Whirl on his PS; apparently, he had found Cackletta, Fawful and Grunty, so they all hurried to Mobius and Angel Island. There, Whirl showed up along with Sonic and Tails, and they rushed to the Master Emerald shrine. When they got there, they saw Knuckels about to fight against Cackletta, Fawful and Gruntilda, so they prepared to join in.

Part 1-3: The Master of Disaster

During the battle, Fawful was defeated, and Grunty was almost defeated but it was interrupted when the Master Emerald began flying! In reality, it was being taken by a large, black cruiser--The Cat Cruiser. It was Slike! It would seem Slike was now working with Cackletta, Fawful and Grunty, and they were able to get away with the Master Emerald.

Part 1-4: They Stole Our Top

Top, Oshy, Topper and Sneen returned to Top's House, but this time Sonic and Knuckles came with them in the guest room. During the night, however, Top disappeared, as did Knuckles. Everyone gathered together (Super and Eggo showed up for some reason, as did Sally) and held a meeting. Sneezier, Whirl and Tails said they found the Master Emerald's energy signature at Tubba Blubba's Castle, but before they headed there Sneen made an announcement.

Sneen revealed his newest invention, Project S, which could increase someone's power to very high levels, but is very dangerous without an adequate power source. He suspected it would be useful in the upcoming fights, but just then Top crashed through the window! He had some cuts and bruises on him and was unconscious, so they brought him to his room to let him rest. Unfortunately, while they weren't looking, he got up and tried to leave; Oshy spotted him, and the next thing they knew he was attacking them; it was actually Dark Top!

Dark Top managed to elude their grasp and get down to the basement where he rummaged through some items until coming across what he was looking for--the Magic Paintbrush. Using it, he teleported out of there, and everyone prepared to follow him to Tubba Blubba's Castle.

Part 1-5: 15 Vs. 15 (Special: 3X THE NORMAL SIZE)

Once they arrived at Tubba Blubba's Castle, they entered and found Light Top and Knuckles in cages. They freed them, but then Cackletta, Fawful, Gruntilda, Slike and Dark Top showed up. They were about to fight when they revealed a large group of other villains were with them--Metal Sonic, Mingy Jongo, Dark Matter Kirby, a strange, large computer, Rexor, Mime Dee, Metal Sneezier, Mogmire, Shadow Danny, and Team Flash.

A large 15 on 15 battle began. Topper Vs. Fawful (Topper won); Pyro Vs. Grunty (Pyro won); Whirl Vs. Slike; Knuckles Vs. Mogmire (Knuckles won); Lucky Vs. the Computer; Tails Vs. Mime Dee (Tails won); Super Vs. Team Flash (Super won); Sally Vs. Mingy Jongo (Sally won); Sneezier Vs. Metal Sneezier (Sneezier won); Eggo Vs. Dark Matter Kirby (Eggo won); Oshy Vs. Rexor (Oshy won); Danny Vs. Shadow Danny (Danny won); Sneen Vs. Cackletta; Sonic Vs. Metal Sonic (Sonic won); and finally, Light Top Vs. Dark Top.

At the end, Dark Top took out the Magic Paintbrush and fused it with the Star Rod, then blasted Light Top with a giant blast. Cackletta pressed a button, bringing out a large machine that had the Master Emerald in the center and 6 pods connected to it which held the SNS Mystery Eggs! Dark Top inserted the fused Star Rod/Magic Painbrush into it, and the machine blasted a huge amount of dark energy upwards. Everyone escaped, although some unwanted passengers came with them: Team Flash.

Dryler claimed they were secret agents and weren't really helping the bad guys, and revealed to them that the machine could take control of peoples' dreams and then take control of them, which is how they were able to split Light and Dark Top. Oshy rushed to Sneen (as they were in Sneen's Cruiser) and told him to tell everyone to get who they can off the planet. They were able to get Yoshi, Apricot, Testube and Oh Gee off the planet, but didn't have enough time to get anyone else. They then had a vote to decide where to go to hide out.

Part 1-6: Bug Pokemon Bug Me

The Pokeworld won, so they headed off to the Pokeworld and got to Viridian Forest, where Rening let them stay with him. After a song, which revealed they needed the Ripple Crystal and the Crystal Jiggy to increase the power of the machine. Meanwhile, with the heroes, Light Top... ran off to get a snack. After Eggo ate a Weedle, some Beedrill tried to attack them but Pyro fired them. Then a Kakuna fell on Sally. Oshy and Apricot left to go take a walk. Meanwhile, the others tried to formulate a plan... with little success.

As Light Top was walking, Ferdinand suddenly appeared over him. Light Top recognized him, but didn't have time to chat as a group of Beedrill that were chasing Ferdinand appeared, and they both ran (well Ferdinand flew) opposite ways. Ferdinand ended up coming up to the heroes' campsite, and after Super, Eggo and Pyro fired the Beedrill, Ferdinand told them he accidently wandered into their nest and that he had saw Top while fleeing. Speaking of Light Top, he had stopped running when he heard a voice yelling about a puffball. He dived into a bush and saw Rexor, Shadow Danny and Metal Sneezier kidnapping a Jigglypuff. He ran off to tell the others.

Meanwhile, Oshy and Apricot found a large group of Kricketune singing. They were using Sing, but they didn't realize it, and fell asleep. About two hours later, Light Top finally found the campsite again and told them that he saw Rexor, Shadow Danny and Metal Sneezier kidnapping a Jigglypuff, so they went to stop them; when they arrived at the villains' ship, they prepared for a battle.

Part 1-7: Battle for the Music

The part mostly consisted of the battle against Metal Sneezier, Rexor and Shadow Danny. It looked like they'd be defeated when Shadow Danny was thrown into the ship. Testube had snuck in there and was trying to get the Jigglypuff out, but when he saw Shadow Danny he threw him back out. Shadow Danny tried to get Metal Sneezier and Rexor, who were already defeated, up, but the cage with the Jigglypuff was thrown onto him and the Jigglypuff got out.

Metal Sneezier, Rexor and Shadow Danny were able to escape, but Rexor accidently revealed there were others on Ripple Star and Rareworld. They were going to head there when Oh Gee realized Oshy and Apricot were not yet back. Elsewhere, Oshy and Apricot were waking up when they saw they were tied to a wooden pole, and the Kricketune were dancing. It appeared they were going to be sacrificed, but instead Smear appeared and began painting Oshy.

The heroes soon showed up, and the Kricketune left (a vacation, Smear said). Oshy and Apricot were gotten down, and the situation was explained to them. Renin said he was staying there, but Ferdinand and Smear said they'd be going, so they divided up into two teams:

Ripple Star: Light Top, Sneen, Whirl, Danny, Lucky, Sally, Eggo, Yoshi, Dryler, Lakeep, Zzub

Rareworld: Oshy, Topper, Pyro, Sneezier, Super, Apricot, Oh Gee, Testube, Ferdinand, Smear

Part 1-8: The Crystal-Clear Course

In this part, Wally Plotch was replaced by Mr. Smiley Indifferent Face. Because this was still script format, however, not a lot changed. On Ripple Star, Metal Sonic, Dark Matter Kirby and Mime Dee were causing chaos. Once Mime Dee had used invisible walls to close the area off, they began to make their way to the castle. Mime Dee did not, however, cover the area above them, allowing them to fire something at them from Sneen's Cruiser: Eggo. Dark Matter Kirby was slammed with Eggo, then the cruiser landed and the rest of them got out. A battle began.

Mime Dee and Dark Matter Kirby were defeated, but Metal Sonic continued fighting. Sneen was able to take a shard of the Ripple Crystal, however, and use it for Project S to smash Metal Sonic and defeat it. The three villains fled, but Project S revealed to still take a lot of energy even with the Ripple Crystal Shard. Sneen still thought it would be a good tool to use against them once they return to Star World, so he kept it temporarily.

Part 1-9: Magic of the Jiggy

On Rareworld, Gruntilda and Minjy Jongo were attacking Jinjo Village. Just then, the Pyro Cruiser and Starcruiser Prime landed... on the remains of the Gray Jinjo House. Just before the battle began, Gonji appeared. Soon after, the battle begun. Just when it appeared Gruntilda and Mingy would be defeated by jinjo power, Mogmire appeared and used a time freezing spell to freeze time. He had gotten the Crystal Jiggy, and the villains escaped with it. Oh Gee realized the reason they took it, which was to fire the dream beam to other planets instead of just Star World, so they went to hurry and regroup with the others.

Part 1-10: Keep Your Eye on the Watch

Meanwhile, in the new, bigger, eviller castle than Tubba Blubba's, Cackletta was telling them at 2/3 of them were idiots, and that if they leave now, the dream beam will get them. However, in another room, the computer was plotting... anyway, above the planet, the heroes were planning their plan. They could only last about 24 hours before they couldn't stay up any longer (not that they ended up needing that long), so they sent Light Top, Topper, Whirl, Danny, Pyro, Lucky, Sneezier, Super, Ferdinand, Smear, and Gonji down. Topper had Project S in case they needed to use it.

Just then, Sub appeared! As a Morph, he didn't need sleep, and so he was able to remain in hiding. Hiding, because of the army of sleepwalkers the villains now had. Thus, they began a battle against a crapload of people who were asleep, including a multitude of basic enemies, and also Jr. Troopa, Rawk Hawk, Kent C. Koopa, Wario, Buzzar, Bowser, Mario, and Luigi showed up. They had some difficulty fighting them all, however, so Top quickly pulled out a Stopwatch and froze everything, allowing them to get to the castle. Cackletta, however, planned to make a little game for them...

Part 1-11: It’s Mime & Moogle Time

When the heroes first entered the castle, they found the front room to be filled with invisible walls. The Mime Dee was there, so they had to run around the maze trying to attack it. Topper just dug underground and hit it with a kick, defeating it, and it dropped a key they took. The key brought them to what appeared to be a cafeteria, where Mogmire began throwing food at them. Topper tried to attack Mogmire, but Mingy teleported in his way and attacked him, causing him to drop Project S, which Mingy then took. It left Mogmire to take care of them. Luckily for the heroes, though, Light Top was able to bribe Mogmire for 50 coins, and he left to go to a different story. They found that the key went to the basement.

Part 1-12: The Deep, Dark Basement

In the basement, Shadow Danny and Dark Matter Kirby appeared to fight them. After the fight, however, Dark Matter Kirby formed back into a blog and escaped, leaving Shadow Danny there to get pummeled. He escaped, though, dropping a key, which led to... some other room.

Part 1-13: U, Robot

The "other room" was a room where various robots were being built on an assembly line. Metal Sonic and Metal Sneezier appeared, and they began battling. Even though Metal Sonic and Metal Sneezier combined for their most powerful attack, they were still defeated in the end, and the heroes recieved a key to the backyward. A backyard!? Why does the castle have a backyard?

Part 1-14: GODZILLA!

It took them a while to find the backyard, but once they did, Rexor came out of an outhouse. Seeing them, he immediately took a more fierce tone and took out a beaker of red liquid. He drank it, and it increased his power, also increasing his size to twice the normal. The battle was fierce, but just before he was about to use a superpowerful attack Whirl threw some Chaos Grenades into his mouth; they exploded, and he was defeated. Just before they took the key, however, Fawful showed up, taking it, and then flew off quickly.

Part 1-15: The Winkybunion War

Fawful sent them on a wild goose chase, wasting well over an hour, and in the end he dropped the key on the roof of the castle. They took it, but then realized it was a fake. The ground below them began to open up, and up came the Hag 2 with Grunty inside, ready to fight. After using both the Hag 2's weaponry and quiz questions, she used its new rocket capabilities to blast into the sky. Unfortunately for her, it began stalling up there, and while it stalled Top became Minicrash Top and Ferdinand tossed him into the exhaust port; he then blew up, causing the Hag 2 to fall back to the ground.

Grunty made a shield for herself, making her invincible until Gonji summoned the Jinjo Statues. Grunty tried to destroy them, but everyone focused their power and the Jinjos came out and attacked her. Grunty was glad the Jinjonator wasn't around... until it, too came out of the ground! She quickly went back into the Hag 2. Once the Jinjonator was out, it began to smash the Hag 2, but it wasn't working. Top and Sneezier got the Minibomb abilities, then set bombs all over inside the Hag 2 exhaust port. The Hag 2 completely exploded, and the Jinjonator smashed her off the roof. Instead of a repeat of Banjo-Kazooie's ending, however, the sleepwalking army caught her, as they began to move into the castle. Just then, someone came out of the roof elevator!

Part 1-16: Him again, and it’s the end!

The someone revealed to be Slike, and he had Project S on! He probably had... the Master Emerald powering it or something. Even with the battle being 12-1, Slike was able to defeat them them one by one until they were all defeated. When they awoke, they were in a cage, and learned that there were some technical difficulties with the machine that involved it having to process the request, so the heroes' dreams weren't taken over. Dark Top stated it was now 7 AM, which meant the other heroes would be soon coming down for their attempt.

Cackletta and Fawful came in, stating the machine was ready to go and they had the Sleepy Sheep ready, but before they could use it the machine malfucntioned again. Cackletta and Fawful went to see what was wrong while Dark Top stood guard until suddenly a bomb hit Dark Top, knocking him out. Parnky suddenly appeared, revealing he had jammed a banana peel into the machine, and broke the heroes out of the cage with a bomb.

All the villains suddenly appeared, ready to fight them all at once, until a robot voice suddenly spoke up. The computer character was thrown to the ground, apparently deactivated, and various parts of the machine began to fly apart making a makeshift body in the form of... Metal Top! It was revealed that in the future, when the YB had supposedly defeated him, he still had enough power left to create a Mini-Metal Top which followed them into the past.

Metal Top stated he had control over the machine now, and all the sleepwalking inhabitants of the planet, but then Light and Dark Top pulled the Star Rod/Magic Paintbrush combination out of the machine, causing it to begin malfunctioning. Metal Top broke his connection with the machine and flew off. Everyone began to flee, and the machine was completely destroyed, destroying the castle as well. All the sleepwalkers woke up, and everyone was fine; Light Top, however, had not merged with Dark Top like what would usually occur at this time, and instead Dark Top disappeared.

In the end, most of the villains returned to their usual locations except those who did not have usual locations simply disappeared. Team Flash was paid some money due to their heroics, and Sneen left to Fahr Outpost. All the items were returned to their proper places, except the SNS Eggs were now deemed useless. However, just as Light Top was about to throw them away, the trash can glowed and he and Gonji were sucked in. They found themselves at an SNS Altar, where the eggs disappeared and a sign appeared saying they could have any wish they wanted. Unfortunately, Parnky appeared, wishing for a banana cream pie, and they only had one wish per forever. Parnky splutted the pie in Light Top's face, and Light Top began to chase Parnky (despite it being out of character for a light-side) until Oshy stopped him, saying they had to do the Wheel of Morality. Top, Oshy and Topper ended up winning a free cruise trip from it, ending the story.

Unreleased Database Information

In the time before the SNS arc truly got underway, Topmonhit had made several quick database bios for the villains appearing in this story as sort of a "who's who" of the story's villains. Entries for the important items were made as well. Originally, the first few were planned to be revealed during Return of FOEA and Stop 'n' Swop Yoshi Bodyguards, then the next two would be revealed when they appeared in The Plot of Evil Drams, then the rest would be revealed at the same time when all the villains appeared. This fell through, not only because The Plot of Evil Dreams was moved to Topmonhit Story, but Topmonhit just never did it.

Villains

Villain #1: Cackletta
Cackletta is a witch from the Beanbean Kingdom whose original plan didn't work out so well and died. Thanks to Fawful and later Grunty, Cackletta is more powerful than ever. She comes up with most of the plans during the beginning of the plot.
Villain #2: Fawful
This crazy guy is Cackletta's "Greatest Pupil" and is the one who finds out what makes the evil plot begin. He was the one who brought the Witchy Fury team together when he met Grunty, and can build adequate machines.
Villain #3: Gruntilda Winkybunion
The rhyming Witch Grunty is the one who knows about the items that originally began the plot. She has a number of magic spells at her arsenal. She met Cackletta and Fawful while a skull, and now has a body again thanks to Cackletta.
Villain #4: Slike
Slike, a cat from Mobius, is evil, intelligent, and bad luck to everyone but himself. He ran into Cackletta, Fawful and Grunty after ending a partnership with someone else. He's apparently angry about the ending of it, but won't say anything about it. He's created multiple robots and is the main technological expert in this plot.
Villain #5: Dark Top
Dark Top, the evil side of Top, splits from Light Top and then kidnaps the Light Side with help of Cackletta, Fawful and Grunty. Though he normally is the ringleader for villainous plots, in this plot, he shares the spotlight equally with the other villains. Maybe even less than Cackletta...
Villain #6: Metal Sonic
Metal Sonic, who hates the YB from an earlier encounter, is the first of 3 robotic villains in the plot. He's as fast as the regular Sonic, and has a few tricks up his non-existent sleeve. Apparently he ran into them while they were at Mobius, probably not long after Slike entered the picture.
Villain #7: Mingy Jongo
This is one of the more mysterious appearances, considering he's not a main villain, though it probably has something to do with Grunty. Minjy Jongo is a robot of the Shaman Mumbo Jumbo. This must be what happens when you combine evil, magic and technology. He might have a big part in the main plot since he has both magic and technology.
Villain #8: Dark Matter Kirby
Dark Matter returns, but this time in the form of a Kirby. The Kirby shape he has taken on also gives him Kirby abilities, with the word dark before each of them. Dark Matter was a previous entry in Federation of Evil Acquaintances, which would by why he is also in this plot. Exactly how he got the Kirby form is unknown, though.
Villain #9: Computer
This is the most mysterious villain. A strange computer who hates the YB and has multiple attacks. Whether Slike created it or if someone else did is unknown, but he will have a major place in the plot as a villain...
Villain #10: Rexor
The Rex King, Rexor is to Oshy as Bowser is to Mario. He wants a larger part, but anyway, he’s part of this plot helping out and in return he’ll get the whole Koopa Kingdom and part of Yoshi’s Island.
Villain #11: Mime Dee
Mime Dee is a Waddle Dee who is a mime, and having no mouth helps. Mime Dee doesn't play a significant role in the plot, but can create invisible objects and cages out of nowhere.
Villain #12: Team Flash
Dryler, Lakeep and Zzub make up Team Flash, the last entry in this Plot of the Evil Dreams villain database. Team Flash aren’t the best of villains and in reality aren’t even really villains, but are technically neutral and somehow managed to get hired in the plot. They have a motto they say each time they make an appearance, but it may change a bit sometimes.

Important Items

Important Item #1: Mystery Eggs
These 6 Mystery Eggs are rare eggs that could never be obtained legitimately until recently. They are part of the great Stop 'n' Swop Mystery, but may be able to be used for more. These are what begin the Plot in the story.
Important Item #2: Star Rod
The Star Rod at the Fountain of Dreams supplies the fountain with the dreams of Popstar. It was stolen earlier, and there must be a secret unknown power inside of it that can be used with the Mystery Eggs.
Important Item #3: Master Emerald
The Master Emerald is a large emerald that can control the Chaos emerald powers. Perhaps it can control more. Knuckles the Echidna is the guardian of it, and when it's gone, the floating island falls to the sea.
Important Item #4: The Magic Paintbrush
This Paintbrush is very powerful and can grant wishes, or so it seems. E. Gadd made it, and almost sold it to a villain, but the YB bought it instead. Ever since, it's been in the basement, collecting dust.
Important Item #5: Ripple Crystal
The Ripple Crystal is the large Crystal at Ripple Star. With it, one could power machines to their fullest potential, and then some. Dark Matter tried to steal it once, but it shattered. Kirby collected the pieces and beat Dark Matter.
Important Item #6: The Crystal Jiggy
The Crystal Jiggy is an ancient Jiggy with mystical powers and is overlooked by master Jiggywiggy. The overall thing is quite large, but it's said the main power resides in only a small Jiggy piece of it. It could easily be used to send affects of things out throughout the universe, such as a beam.

Trivia

  • Depending on the votes, the story could have changed a little in parts 6-8. If they had gone to Popstar, they would have recieved news of Ripple Star being attacked and gone there, then split up to the Pokeworld and Rareworld. If they had gone to Rareworld, they would have overheard Jiggywiggy's Temple being attacked and gone there, then split up and gone to Ripple Star and Pokeworld. In addition, going to any other planet would have likely meant Rening and Ferdinand would not have appeared.
  • Metal Sneezier, Shadow Danny and Mogmire were not originally planned for the story.
  • Mogmire was inexplicably important in this story, as if it wasn't for him, the villains would have been unsuccessful in getting the Crystal Jiggy.
  • Although Mario and Luigi are listed at the same time as the other sleepwalking enemies, due to an overlooked error (and using about 20 characters in one battle), they did not actually officially appear until the end, when all the sleepwalkers awoke.
