Ferdinand is a Farfetch'd explorer who is also shiny in color. He enjoys exploring new lands, and has a prized stick he keeps with him always... like all Farfetch'd. He seems to have gained some popularity... at least with Lucky. He prefers not to fight, but is a skilled fighter if the need arises and usually won't back down. He began with little to no personality, but magically became an explorer personality out of nowhere.

Top Story Bio
Ferdinand is a bit of an explorer, and a skilled fighter with his leek. He can hack away at tall grass with it and slash foes with it. I’ve been too lazy to really come up with a past for him, though. But Farfetch’d pwns anyway.
History
Shard Guard
Not much is known about Ferdinand's prior exploits, but at some point he joined a group of Pokemon on seven islands guarding some shards of a powerful crystal. These Pokemon were brought together by a Kabutops named Tops, and Ferdinand ran the island with Flying Pokemon, along with a Ninjask and Jumpluff. One day, a group of strange creatures appeared and challenged them for the shard; they already had one. Unfortunately, Ferdinand and his group lost and were forced to relinquish the shard.
Later they learned they weren't evil and had been told the shards were like badges; apparently, they were trying to save someone named Yoshi. At the end, Ferdinand and the other island fighters went to help them (known as The Yoshi Bodyguards) defeat the guy who had kindapped Yoshi, a demon Haunter named Nocktor. During the fight, legendary Pokemon came to help, and eventually Nocktor was sent through a portal to the underworld. The crystal, however, was destroyed.
Return of the YB (sorta)
With the crystal destroyed, everyone left the islands and Ferdinand went on some explorations until ending up at Viridian Forest a few months later. There, he accidently disturbed a bunch of Beedrill that began chasing him; while he was flying away, he saw one of the YBs, Top (although unbeknownst to him Top was no longer a YB at that time). He had no time to chat, however, as he continued flying until he saw a bunch of other YBs! They helped get rid of the Beedrill, then he learned their home planet, Star World, was under control by a group of villains.
Later that day, Top showed up again, saying that some villains were kidnapping a Jigglypuff--King Rexor, Shadow Danny and Metal Sneezier. Ferdinand helped them save the Jigglypuff, but they learned more villains were at places called Ripple Star and Rareworld. Ferdinand had no clue what the places were, but went off to help them anyway at Rareworld. There, they fought against Gruntilda and Mingy Jongo, but when they were about to win they were frozen in place by magic from Mogmire.
The Crystal Jiggy was stolen, which meant the villains could take control of other planets as well, so they hurried back to Star World. Ferdinand went down with them to fight against the villains, of which there were a lot of, but they were defeated in the end. Luckily, they were saved by a Parnky, and in the end a robot of Top took control of the villains' device, but Top and his dark side were able to stop it. In the end, Ferdinand returned to the Pokeworld by hitching a ride with Pyro.
Robot Pokemon Attack!
Eventually Ferdinand headed to Stark Mountain to do some exploring, but when he arrived the planet started being invaded by robotic Pokemon. Stark Mountain itself also had robotic Pokemon inside, led by the robot of Top Ferdinand saw a while earlier, Metal Top. He hid outside in a bush when a group of non-robots showed up, including General Cyrus Vance, Lucky and Tig. Ferdinand recognized Lucky, and went into the mountain with them, only to have to fight some robotic Pokemon.
Deeper into the cave, they found a Metal Heatran that Metal Top was going to use to flood the planet with lava, but it was defeated by a collapse of the cave started by Lucky after he evolved. Ferdinand didn't continue traveling with them, but wished them luck in defeating the remaining invaders.
Personal Information
Personality
Ferdinand is shown as brave and an explorer, although he realizes when he should get the heck out of there and run (or fly) away. He accepts help on these explorations, and isn't conceited about what he finds or anything. He doesn't usually find anything anyway. He's a good fighter, but usually won't resort to it until later. That's about all.
Appearance
Ferdinand is a shiny Farfetch'd with a pith hat.
Abilities
Ferdinand has the Keen Eye and Inner Focus abilities, preventing his accuracy from lowering and preventing him from flinching. He is also skilled with his stick like a sword and knows these attacks:

Final Smash: Fowl Swoop
Ferdinand flies up, then swoops down from the background and slashes foes with his Leek. Slash (40%) sometimes sends them flying, Night Slash (40%) may immobilize them for a few seconds, and Poison Jab (20%) may poison them.
Items
Ferdinand's single item is his stick, a very rare and valuable type of leek he has. It's his prized possession, and lets no one take it. Oh, he also has that pith hat. It makes him pithy.
Interactions with Other Characters
The Yoshi Bodyguards

Ferdinand is on good terms with the YB, although at first he thought they were villainous. Once he learned they weren't, however, he was friends with them and perfectly willing to help out.
Metal Top

Ferdinand is rather baffled by Metal Top, and wonders who in their right mind would want to build such a creature. He thinks Metal Top is probably insane, and not someone that should be taken lightly, if at all.
Lucky

Like the other former YBs, Ferdinand remembered Lucky, although somewhat. He thinks of him as friendly, and apparently Lucky thinks Ferdinand is cool.
Tig
- Main Article: Tig
Ferdinand sees Tig as a bit similar to him, although Tig is more warrior-like while Ferdinand is more explorer-like. He'd hope to have help from or help Tig again sometime.
Trivia
- I knew someone who once thought Farfetch'd evolved into Doduo. Oh, wait, trivia about Ferdinand...
- For Halloween 2009, Ferdinand went as Perry the Platypus.
