Story

Part 2-1: The Start of Some Journey

The story began in Cindek, in Lyrids Town, where Relvia the Kirlia was spinning around to gather other Pokemon’s attention. She revealed that she planned on taking the Cindek Pokemon League Challenge, and (somehow) recruited Iris and Lucky. The Cloud showed up and dropped Tron, Hydra, Dr. P and Danny onto the ground. They were thrown into the group as well. They then met Professor Persimmon, the leading Professor of the region, who revealed a slab he found and that he deciphered it to say the 7 of them were destined to meet. That was all he found so far, though. They were then signed up for the Cindek Pokemon League. Then there was a short scene with Opt, although his identity was not yet revealed.

Part 2-2: She Rose From Below

As they were heading through Route B, they ran into a Lileep named Rose. Rose ended up attacking them, and Relvia fought her on her own. She defeated Rose, who vowed to return, and then they met the gym leader of Perseids City, a Corsola named Corlette (with a Wooper named Woot.) It ended with them entering Perseids City.

Part 2-3: Making a Big Splash

The group battled against Corlette and Woot in the Perseids City gym. In the end, Woot was defeated and Corlette soon after, winning them the badge. They learned the next gym was at Phoenicids City, but they returned to Lyrids Town to learn from Professor Persimmon that the slab revealed that more Pokemon would join them.

Part 2-4: Biting Off More Than You Can Swallow

When the team arrived in Phoenicids City, they saw a group of Gulpin running of a restaurant being chased by a Gabite. The Gabite, the head chef of a restaurant, explained the Gulpin had been stealing food recently. After locating their hideout, they met a Swalot named Swal who explained they were simply in need of food. However, a deal was made where the Gulpin would work for the restaurant. Swal, on the other hand, decided to go with the team as their 8th member. Unfortunately, they learned from a Misdreavus the gym was closed, but that there was another one east at Eridanids City, and so they headed east.

Part 2-5: Dude, Mud

At Eridanids, the rockiet place in Cindek, they found a department store. It was closed, however, so they went to the gym, where they met a Hippopotas named Hippy and a Gligar named Gildar. The two of them, who acted like hippies, then battled the team. In the end, Gildar was frozen and Hippy, not wanting to get hit with anymore attacks, said they proved themselves worthy. In the end, however, it was revealed they weren't hippies, and simply liked mud and dirt and stuff. It was then revealed the high-speed train's power source was stolen!

Part 2-6: Stupid Henchpokemon

When they got back to Phoenicids City, they learned the only way to where the power source is kept, Zeta City, is a small walkway next to the high-speed train. Unfortunately, on the way there a Golem, Hitmonchan and Marowak appeared, attempting to stop their progress. Iris' Confuse Ray caused the Golem to use Explosion, but Swal sacrificed himself by eating the Golem, causing only them two to be defeated. Eventually, the Hitmonchan was defeated, and the Marowak was frozen soon after. They then continued to Zeta City.

Part 2-7: Triple Team Trouble

When the team arrived in Zeta City, they saw Professor Persimmon and a Magnemite, who were there due to the power source being stolen. After learning the thief went east, the team headed towards Bootids Town, but along the way Rose returned; this time, however, she had help in the form of a Sableye named Deyeal and a Luxray named McNeil. During the fight, Tron was defeated when a tree fell over and hit him; soon after, Deyeal was defeated. McNeil was put to sleep, putting him out of battle until he was defeated at the end. Rose was using Solarbeam until Tron appeared, revealing to have not been defeated, and used Rain Dance; with Solarbeam's power down, Rose was defeated. They then escaped, letting the heroes continue on to Bootids Town.

Part 2-8: Almost Booted out of Bootids Town

When they arrived in Bootids Town, they recieved a cold welcome due to the general populace disliking technology and Pokemon of the types Electric, Steel and Psychic. Things took a turn for the better, though, when they met a Garchomp named Salvadore who helped them find out the thief had gone east. Thus, Salvadore decided to join them. As they headed east, they turned south, then west, then north into a cave underneath Bootids Town. There, they found Regirock, only it had a mind-control device on it!

Part 2-9: This Rocks… Well, Literally

The team entered a fierce battle with Regirock, but in the end, they only had to destroy the mind-control device to stop it. This ended in a mysterious character appearing, tossing the power source to them, then flying away with jets coming out of his feet.

Part 2-10: I Wish I Was in Dixie!

When the team returned to Zeta City, they gave the power source back and went to battle the gym of the city. There, they saw the very Magnemite who was with Professor Persimmon earlier. It introduced itself as Mitey, the leader of the gym, then introduced a Wormadam and Skarmory, named Madaste and Skire (respectively). During the battle, Tron often got hit with magnet-based attacks, making him sing folk songs. Eventually Skire was defeated, then Mitey. Everyone argued over who would deal the final blow on Madaste until suddenly Tron did out of nowhere. Thus, they won the badge for Zeta City and headed off to the next gym at Cetids Town.

Part 2-11: The Rhyming Part

In this part, in which very little important things happened, everyone rhymed. Until one rhyme didn't fit, causing the story to fall apart. The Cloud had to put it back together. In the end, they made it to South Cetids Town. There, Aron appeared, sayin the slab had revealed the one who stole the power source and was controlling Regirock was a Fighting and Steel type. With that, the part ended.

Part 2-12: Southern Cetids Psychic Scrap!

In Southern Cetids, the team met OmgI'mamime in the gym, after which Gifforoffig and Dingle came. During the battle, in which Dingle yelled a lot, the team used physics to defeat Dingle. OmgI'mamime was defeated, and soon after Gifforoffig went down as well. However, they learned that they had to defeat the North Cetids gym to get the badge, and Gifforoffig had lost the key to North Cetids. Thus, they were told to go to the gym in Cygnids City, and to return to North Cetids at a later time.

Part 2-13: Sick of This Pointless Plot Stuff

When the group arrived in Cygnids City, they found the gym to be a normal-type gym... but a Togetic said it was closed due to the leader being sick. Thus, the group went to the library and found how to cure the disease the leader had; they just so happened to have the cure with them, but as they headed back to the gym, they saw the mysterious character who had stolen the power source head north. They quickly went back to the gym to cure the leader, named Furby (the Togetic was named Toga), but then learned from the mayor they weren't allowed to go north to Pavonids Town, but they could get clearance due to Toga having a cousin up there, so for that time they would simply have a gym battle.

Part 2-14: Use Moony Night!

The third member of the gym was a Clefairy named Clara. When the battle began, it was revealed all Toga knew was Metronome. During the battle, Clara used Moonlight, causing the moon from Majora's Mask to appear. It eventually fell to the ground, and later Clara was defeated by being smashed into it. Toga was defeated by her own attack, and then Furby got sad being the only one left, so the team defeated her and won. Aron returned, saying the slab says the end will be smashing. Obviously, Topmonhit was running out of things.

Part 2-15: Let’s Sing a Song!

When the team arrived once again at Phoenicids City, Rose and McNeil reappeared. Deyeal was gone, but now they had two other members--Jiggly and I.M. Ugly. The two teams began to fight; at one point Jiggly and Relvia both began to use sing until Swal interrupted with his own horrible singing, which quickly woke everyone up. As the battle raged on, suddenly some other horrible singing was heard and the Misdreavus from Part 2-4 appeared, revealing to be the leader of the gym. He introduced himself as Mistervus, and said he had used Perish Song. Tron used Thunder Wave to paralyze the rival team, and then they went to go get some Revives and stuff to counter the Perish Song. In the gym, they met a spiritomb named CVIII (roman for 108), and a Rotom named Ecruos Rewop that could only say beep. They then prepared for the battle.

Part 2-16: Beep!

After some... insanity, the group entered their next gym battle. During the battle, Swal spat out a saliva-covered shadow ball at CVIII; she was so grossed by this that she left the battle to take a shower. Ecruos Rewop was defeated afterwards, leaving just Mistervus. He took being alone better than Furby did. Mistervus was then defeated, and they team got the badge. Suddenly a giant DS fell out of nowhere and Professoer Persimmon came on it. He revealed that he learned that the origin of the region would be discovered in the end.

Part 2-17: It's a Cameo!

Top, Oshy, and Topper cameoed at the start of this part, but they had no affect on the story. As for the main characters, they headed off for Scorpiids City, where they met a Quilfish named Quiwi. She was a member of the gym, which was led by an Arbok named Gack and also had a Dustox named Dustle. Apparently, the water in the city had been tainted recently, and most of the townspeoples were blaming the gym, due to it being a poison gym. After settling down the angry mob, Gack and the others introduced themselves, and they went into the gym, which was mostly a large pool of sludge with some platforms.

Part 2-18: 私は日本語を話すことができない! [I can’t speak Japanese!]

When the part began, The Cloud said that he had been getting messages from people wanting to see the original version with subtitles. He was confused, but went with it anyway. However, during the battle, he got more complaints wanting it to go back the way it was, and so it returned to English. Later, Quiwi was defeated with a team attack. During the fight, Lucky fell into the sludge, and Tron went down to rescue him. Swal tried to eat all the sludge, but was stopped by Dustle, and then Tron came out with Lucky. Dr. P gave Lucky a berry to cure the poison, but it was 3 years old, so Lucky became sick. Soon after Dustle was defeated, and Gack went down soon after. They learned the next gym was in Aurigids City, and then the giant DS returned. Professor Persimmon revealed he had made an important discovery, and wanted them to meet him in the Cygnids Library.

Part 2-19: Frozen Fan Fic

At the library, Professoer Persimmon revealed he found the slab was originally from Crater Canyon. Soon after, they began feeling an earthquake. Except it felt more like an explosion up north. Thus, the team headed up north, which they coincidentally had clearance to. However, when they reached Pavonids Town, they found it to be ridiculously cold. They went north to Creater Canyon, but suddenly Regice appeared out of nowhere!

Part 2-20: Cold Clash Calamity!

The team battled against Regice, eventually destroyind the mind-control device on it. They then got a missing piece of the slab from Crater Canyon, and then left the cold, cold area.

Part 2-21: No Unintentional Spelling Mistakes

The team headed for Aurigids City, where they battled against a Flying gym led by a Fearow named Flear and featuring a Tropius named Robble and a Scyther named Trowl. During the battle, Trowl was defeated by freezing, and Robble was defeated by burning. Flear went down soon after, and they got their final badge. The team then headed off for North Cetids and the final gym battle...

Part 2-22: That Team is Finished

The team decided to take a break at Route O before heading off to their final gym battle, but suddenly they heard an explosion off to the east and went off to see the source. When they arrived in North Cetids, Hydra with hit with an Espeon, who soon introduced herself as Spe. Unfortunately, they had problems at the moment--Registeel was attacking the city! Spe, who said she ran the gym there, said something about Rob and Brad, who had apparently gone to South Cetids to get Gifforoffig, OmgI'mamime and Dingle to help. Relvia, Tron, Lucky and Dr. P agreed to so south to find them. When they headed south, they found Brad, a Gallade, who was battling against none other than McNeil. Meanwhile, I.M. Ugly and Jiggly were battling against Rob, a Slowbro (and his Shellder, Shelly). Tron and Dr. P suddenly came flying in out of nowhere to join in the battle. During the fight, Shelly made Rob use Flamethrower along with Dr. P, and I.M. Ugly's bag was destroyed, causing her to flee in shame. Jiggly was soon after defeated as well. Meanwhile, with the others, Rose came in to join the battle. McNeil was smashed by a Focus Punch, defeating him, and Rose went down soon after. Once they were defeated, Dr. P and Tron flew in holding Rob. Jiggly and McNeil said they quit, which infuriated Rose. After which, she lapsed into unconsciousness.

Part 2-23: High or Low?

Meanwhile, in North Cetids, the other group was battling Registeel. Although it seemed to be tougher than even a water-conducted Thunder, Swal soon hit the mind-control device with Thunderpunch, making quick work of it and Registeel then walked away. The others came back soon, but trouble arose when the two halfs of Cetids City, north and south, began fighting, saying each one sent Pokemon to attack the other. It was then revealed no one knew exactly why the city was split until an old Alakazam and Gardevoir named Ala and Voir (respectively) revealed the entire reason was simply due to an argument over the ace card being high or low. Once the city was reunited, Aron and Professor Persimmon arrived, and the professor revealed the final part of the slab revealed Regigigas was at Gamma Lake. It also revealed the villain was a Hitmontop! Meanwhile, at Gamma Lake, the Hitmontop was just entering the cave...

Part 2-24: Hitmontoptimus

In the cave at Gamma Lake, the team saw the Hitmontop trying to use a mind-control device on Regigigas. Suddenly he was attacked, and then tore off his cloak to reveal he was in fact a Hitmontop cyborg. A battle between them began, in which Opt almost defeated them, but they were able to stop him and eventually destroy most of his robotic body. He quickly crawled out, and right after that, Regigigas began to roar, angry from the mind-control device, and prepared to attack the team.

Part 2-25: Giga Legendary Fight

Although Regigigas began with a Slow Star, once it began attacking its awesome power pulverized the team. Luckily, though, Relvia used Wish, and a Smash Ball appeared. Tron grabbed the Smash Ball, getting his own Landmaster, and blasted the cave so much it began to collapse. Relvia quickly teleported them out of the cave befoer it collapsed, and they watched as it closed off. The team then returned to Cetids City, ready for their final gym battle.

Part 2-26: Gym Battle Finale!

For the final gym battle, the team fought against Spe, Rob and Brad. No matter how many Thunderbolts Rob was hit with, however, he wouldn't go down. ...until he realized Shelly was defeated and he fell over. Brad was defeated soon after despite his overexcited battling, and that left Spe soon after. The team, now with all 8 badges, prepared to go through Victorious Cave and to the E-3+3t.

Part 2-27: E-L33t Battle (WAILORD OF A PART)

The team began through the longest Victory Road ever, which took them about 1 seconds, meaning the map gave misleading info. They entered the E-L3+3t building, meeting a Roselia receptionist named Rosetta, and was told to head out back. In the back, they met their 6 opponents: A Flygon named Fralgon, Glalie named Galey, Parasect named Asep, Magnezone named Zongo, Probopass named Nossip, and Torkoal named Cort. The battle was fierce, but the foes began to go down--Cort went down when Lucky blasted water right into one of her holes; Nossip went down from a Brick Break by Danny; Zongo was eaten by Swal, but Zongo used Explosion inside him, causing Swal to also use Explosion and everyone took massive damage. Except Asep, who was underground. However, he was defeated soon with a Fire Fang from Salvadore. Galey was defeated with a Shadow Zap Cannon, which only left Fralgon. Relvia ended up putting him to sleep with Sing, allowing everyone to get one final attack in for the win. They were placed in the Hall of Fame for the Cindek Pokemon League...

The Next Day, they learned Opt was seen escaping the region; they too left to go after him, leaving Cindek until they would return...

Cindek Gym Leaders

Perseids City

Leader: Corlette, Corsola, female
Woot, Wooper, female
This gym is a water gym, just as the city is a watery city. Corlette is nice and easy to get along with, but a strong fighter, while Woot is just kooky.

Eridanids City

Leader: Hippy, Hippopotas, male
Gildar, Gligar, male
A ground gym, Hippy and Gildar both at first seem to be hippies, but they in reality just like dirt and mud. Gildar plays a mean guitar; by that, he plays the guitar horribly.

Zeta City

Leader: Mitey, Magnemite
Madaste, Wormadam (Steel), female
Skire, Skarmory, male
A steel gym, like that of Zeta City, Mitey is one of the builders of the high-speed train that exists in Cindek, and it's pretty proud of it. Skire is a real battler, and Madaste is less of a battler and more of a gets-thrown-around.

South Cetids City

Leader: Gifforoffig, Girafarig, male
OmgI'mamime, Mr. Mime, male
Dingle, Chimecho, female
Both North and South Cetids Gyms are Psychic types; Gifforoffig is a pretty normal guy, although he has trouble keeping his tail under control sometimes. OmgI'mamime is a mime that is unorthodox in that he speaks, and Dingle shouts with everything she says. LIKE THIS!!! Gifforoffig is best friends with Spe, the leader of the gym in North Cetids City, which is actually a part of the South Cetids City gym.

Cygnids City

Leader: Furby, Furret, female
Toga, Togetic, male
Clara, Clefairy, female
A Normal gym, Furby is an emotional Furret who is very friendly but harbors a secret loneliness. Toga's only move is Metronome. Clara seems nice, but is secretly a powerhouse and partially insane; when she uses Moonlight, the moon from Majora's Mask appears.

Phoenicids City

Leader: Mistervus, Misdreavus, male
CVIII, Spiritomb, female
Ecruos Rewop, Rotom
A Ghost gym, Mistervus is a loner and a fighter, and he only accepts challenges from those he deems worthy to fight, so he usually goes around town in disguise. CVIII is regal and possibly of roman descent. Ecruos Rewop can only say "beep".

Scorpiids City

Leader: Gack, Arbok, male
Dustle, Dustox, female
Quiwi, Quilfish, female
The gym of Scorpiids City is often blamed for polluting the water in Scorpiids City, as it's a poison gym. The complaints have no real scientific backing, however. Gack is irritated at the constant complaining, while Dustle is a scientist who tries to quell the complaining. Quiwi is just as irritated as Gack, but often goes around town to help clean up any pollution.

Aurigids City

Leader: Flear, Fearow, female
Robble, Tropius, male
Trowl, Scyther, male
Flear has been the winner of the Aurigids Square Flying Race for many years. Trowl is a real fighting guy, while Robble is much more peaceful often sells fruit at the local market.

North Cetids City

Leader: Spe, Espeon, female
Rob, Slowbro, male (Shelly, Shellder, female)
Brad, Gallade, male
Spe is a talented, intelligent fighter who won't back down from a good challenge, while Rob is an incompetent, brainless oaf. However, Shelly is able to make Rob do things by biting down on his tail. Brad, on the other hand, enjoys fighting but is a bit too into it, and is also usually a jerk.

E-l3+3t

Secretary: Rosetta, Roselia, female
Leader: Fralgon, Flygon, male
Galey, Glalie, female
Asep, Parasect, male
Zongo, Magnezone
Nossip, Probopass, male
Cort, Torkoal, female
Rosetta is a bit of an impatient secretary, but enjoys watching the battles that take place. Fralgon is a strong leader who didn't become leader for no reason. Galey is a cold-hearted girl, while Parasect is a mysterious and underhanded guy. Zongo speaks in all capitals and robotically, while Nossip is strangely polite. Cort has a fiery heart and soul. And together they make the Cindek Pokemon League.

Trivia

  • Part 2-19: Frozen Fan Fic was originally mistaken as Part 2-18: Frozen Fan Fic. This caused Topmonhit to believe there were only 26 parts to the story for many months, until while looking at the parts realized there were two 2-18s listed, and thus found out there were 27 parts to the story.
  • Rose was never specified to have evolved in the story. Topmonhit just made an assumption at a random place.
  • Rose was originally not a main character of his, but when he stopped liking Tops he made her a main character.
  • Woot was eventually reused as a main character in Yoki Yoki, and Dingle was reused as the narrator for that RP as well.
  • The original story had Cindek being destroyed; however, Topmonhit decided he didn't like that plan and instead simply left it alone.
  • Every city name in Cindek is based off of a name of a meteor shower, which is a reference to how the region is a massive meteor crater.
  • The idea for a rhyming part originally came from The 1576 Kingdom Novel.
  • Part 2-4: Biting Off More Than You Can Swallow is a reference to the phrase "Biting off more than you can chew".
  • Part 2-10: I Wish I Was in Dixie! is a line from the song "Dixie" which Tron sang part of during that part.
  • Part 2-24: Hitmontoptimus is a reference to Optimus Prime, a character from Transformers.

Connections to Other Stories

  • Danny mentions Pichup and his parents in the first part.
  • This is the only story that has given Lucky any real backstory, as it created a location for Lucky to be from.
  • Pokemon Obscure Metal has Relvia and Iris meet up again. Although Lucky and Danny also appeared in that story, they didn't meet up with either of them.
