Metal Chaos is a robot built by Whirl based after the Chaos Creature. It has almost essentially the same abilities as the Chaos Creature with a few exceptions, such as being unable to transform with a Chaos Emerald (although it can become Perfect Metal Chaos with all seven). It can't speak, only making strange squishy noises akin to the original Chaos Creature.

Top Story Bio
A robot Whirl build in the shape of the Chaos Creature. It has similar abilities to it, such as being able to turn into a pool of liquid (although it's liquid metal), and it has some chaos abilities such as chaos blast. Although it is unable to change its form with one Chaos Emerald like Chaos, with all 7 it could become Perfect Metal Chaos. It can only speak in... weird... squishy noises, which actually isn't any language at all.
History
Construction
Metal Chaos was built by Whirl at an unknown time, only known to be sometime in the latter half of 2004. Metal Chaos helped with Whirl around the lab, and also helped when Whirl found a near-dead gecko named Glerk that he saved by making a cyborg. Metal Chaos remained at the lab when Whirl disappeared off to Star World, and its first main appearance occured in X-Chaos when it was with Whirl when the X-Nauts, Dr. Eggman and Slike were all trying to obtain the Chaos Emeralds; in the end, Whirl used his portal producer to teleport them away.
A few months later, while the Metal Army was attacking Mobius, Whirl and Glerk were relocated by GUN to a safer location. Metal Chaos remained at his lab to guard it and Evelyn, however, and when the lab was broken into by some X-Naut Conscripts, Teen Angst and Christopher, Metal Chaos attacked Christopher until a grenade from an X-Naut exploded, damaging it. It escaped and showed up later when some Clone Troopers came to save Whirl and Glerk from an ambush, as well as Evelyn. They then escaped to a planet near Hocotate, but a massive force of Metal Army ships soon appeared. They just barely made it and were able to escape both the Metal Army and X-Nauts. Eventually the Metal Army were gone from Mobius, and they returned to Whirl's lab.
Metal Chaos later helped Whirl out, as well as Team TOT and others, when the Master Emerald was stolen by Metal Top, a robot of Top. They went in the wrong ship, though, where they battled creatures named Orp and Hurtilu, and were then thrown out, meetin Frob and Bread and Hey You. They got onto the last ship, where they encountered Metal Top, who used the Master Emerald to make itself invincible, but though they were able to win, Metal Top was able to drop them, along with the emerald, out of the ship.
They were able to regroup (sans Slike and Yttik), and went to find the Master Emerald. The signature was coming from a strange buildin in the jungle, the Secret Military Organization Secret Base. They were able to blast their way inside and find the emerald, although General Distinct was there and wasn't going to let them get it easily. Just then the ceiling burst open as Slike came in, attempting to steal the emerald with a mech that was powered up by it, but after the emerald was knocked out of the mech it was weakened and though Slike escaped, they returned the emerald to Angel Island.
Mobius Chaos
One month later, Slike was attacking Station Square and stealing Chaos Emeralds from everyone. Just when Whirl, Evelyn and Glerk were about to be attacked, Metal Chaos appeared to counter it, but even then it was defeated. Glerk was too, but Whirl and Evelyn, were able to escape with one emerald, though it still left Slike with five. Slike imprisoned Glerk, Metal Chaos, Tails and Sonic, and it turned out Slike had somehow broken time or something, causing such a huge number of Slike to exist at one time that it may have been infinite.
Less than a week later, Slike had kidnapped Whirl, Evelyn, and a host of others that were with them. Having gotten the sixth emerald, Slike focused on the seventh, during which Knuckles and Team Chaotix were able to break them all out of the prison. They escaped, only to immediately go back to try and defeat Slike. As they all moved through Station Square, they were repeatedly separated until only Glerk, Whirl, Metal Chaos and Evelyn were left to fight against the future Slike, the Slike that had set all of this in motion.
They all fought against future Slike's vessel, with Metal Chaos taking heavy damage, but in the end the future Slike cheated to win and prepared to kill them all in one swoop. However, before he could, everything suddenly stopped and reverted to where Slike had never broken time. Glerk was very confused, but The Doctor explained that he, Kioles, Arami and Team Chaotix used his vessel, the TARDIS, to stop Slike from "breaking time". The Chaos Emeralds had somehow stabilized time back to how it should have been, and Slike was finally imprisoned. Due to that, Whirl no longer had to deal with him, and finally officially got together with Evelyn.
Helping Glerk
Now that Whirl was officially with Evelyn, he began to be with her more often than Glerk and Metal Chaos. Therefore, he began to go off and do dangerous missions less often. When the SWDF, Galactic Federation, PDF and others went on to defeaet a universal evil being known as The Dark Perforation, Whirl asked Glerk and Metal Chaos to go help. They agreed, and flew off in Whirl's ship, now named Rabbit Fire. There, they saw Christopher and Amphy, and Metal Chaos recognized Christopher as an X-Naut conscript, but before attacking him Jet Gundam said they were helping them... this time.
They reached the back area of the castle, where Metal Chaos and Christopher worked together to defeat a humanoid cannon. Once they, Team Crusade, had finished battling the creatures in their way, they entered the final room, they came across Minorbu, Orp and Hurtilu. A fight ensued, in which they won, but then Metal Top attacked them, though they also won. Finally The Dark Perforation came forth and attacked them. Although only energy attacks worked against it, they were able to do enough damage to eventually defeat it... or so it seemed. It began to spark, as if it was in pain, and faded away into a black hole! Top was sucked in, and some data files of Metal Top activated, revealing The Dark Perforation was, in reality, a black hole controlled by a space virus.
Soon, the rest of them were sucked in, but instead of being ripped apart, they found themselves in an arena-like area created by the space virus. The space virus had lost conrol of the black hole, but said if it defeated them it could gain enough energy to control it again. They all refused, and battled it. Eventually they destroyed the space virus using star energy and destroyed The Dark Perforation in entirety, destroying the castle and all of its creatures along with it.
A few months later, Whirl and Evelyn had gone on vacation leaving Glerk and Metal Chaos at the lab. A mailpelican, Pailem, showed up to give Glerk a couple letters. One had Hey You in it, while the other was from the Getcro Kingdom, mailing him to ask about "Prince Glerk". Surprised at this, Glerk decided to go see if he really was prince of the Getcro Kingdom. Metal Chaos agreed to come, as did Hey You, and they ran into Arami, Kioles, and a robed girl who called herself Karma in the Mystic Ruins.
They all decided to travel together to the Getcro Kingdom, where Glerk attempted to find out if he was prince Glerk, but when King Galzo concluded he was not, he mistook Glerk for an imposter and had them imprisoned. While imprisoned, a short human-like person who called himself Dyna appeared to break them out, but they were spotted and had to fight gecko guards. The queen, Queen Quinnio, stepped forth to battle them, but were interrupted when the temple was attacked. They rushed there to find Dr. Eggman, Razabi and Dyna (actual name: Ridley).
Dr. Eggman was after the third piece of an emerald called the Nega Emerald, and when it was put together, he could use it to superpower a Chaos Emerald, of which he had one. There was a brief struggle over it, which ended in the purple emerald, which Arami had, falling onto the Nega Emerald. Arami made a grab for it, and accidently activated the Nega Emerald, temporarily turning her evil. Ridley tackled her off it, though, and the struggle was about to continue when a portal opened and Eggman Nega came in, along with an evil mirror of Arami, Imara.
The Nega Emerald was actually an emerald Eggman Nega built to be used by Imara to make her incredibly powerful, and although she was able to use it, Metal Chaos used the Chaos Emeralds to destroy the Nega Emerald and stop them. King Galzo apologized to them for mistaking them for imposters, and they returned to Whirl's Lab only to hear the horrific news that Slike had escaped.
Personal Information
Personality
Metal Chaos' personality is a slim one. With no actual words, most of Metal Chaos' personality comes from its actions. It's serious about what it does, and serious about protecting those it's designed to protect (whether this counts as its "friends" or not is unknown). It is willing to fight through anything, whether alone or with others, but is also good at calculations and other non-fighting type things. Although it seems obedient, it is capable of free thinking and if it disagrees with something, can go against it; it just usually doesn't disagree.
Appearance
Metal Chaos looks exactly like Chaos Zero, with the only exception being it has gray eyes and a more metallic color (due to being made of metal).
Abilities
Metal Chaos has all the abilities of Chaos Zero and then some. It can pool into a puddle of liquid metal, and can fire Chaos Blasts, its main form of attack. It also has Chaos Missiles it can fire, and has rockets in its feet it can use to fly. Although it can't change form with a Chaos Emerald, it can with all seven Chaos Emeralds. It is also designed to be very powerful.
Final Smash: Perfect Metal
Metal Chaos becomes Perfect Metal Chaos, which is like Perfect Chaos only Metal. With all the powers of Perfect Chaos. Or most, anyway. Can also be obtained with all seven Chaos Emeralds.
Residence
Metal Chaos lives at Whirl's Lab with Whirl, Glerk, and sometimes Evelyn.

Interactions with Other Characters
Tabbir "Whirl"

Being the builder of Metal Chaos, Metal Chaos acts as a sort of guardian to Whirl. It helps Whirl out with various things, such as moving things too heavy for Whirl to move or helping with inventions. When teamed with Glerk, Glerk is speed, Whirl is flying and Metal Chaos is power.
Glerk

Metal Chaos often teams up with Glerk on things, especially in recent times when Whirl has began spending more time with Evelyn. Glerk seems to be able to understand Metal Chaos, and Metal Chaos is always willing to lend hand. When teamed with Whirl, Glerk is speed, Whirl is flying and Metal Chaos is power.
Evelyn

Whirl sometimes asks Metal Chaos to guard Evelyn, such as in Grodus Rising, and Metal Chaos does so diligently. However, it has no real good or bad opinion of Evelyn.
Christopher
- Main Article: Christopher
When Metal Chaos and Christophre first met, they were on opposite sides and Metal Chaos more or less beat Christopher to a pulp. Later on when they met in the Dark Perforation Castle, they were on the same side, and worked together. Metal Chaos' overall opinion of Christopher is a bit sour due to their first appearance, but if he is on the good side, Metal Chaos is willing to help him.
Trivia
- There was originally a Metal Shadow as well, but this character was scrapped and replaced with Glerk. This seems to be fitting, as instead of two robots and a biotic, there's a robot, a biotic, and a cyborg.
