Return to Gisho

From Yb Timeline

"For the past few months now, Oshy, Apricot and Oh Gee have begun making plans for the recolonization of Gisho Island. Oh Gee and Testube would go in and make sure the island was suitable for this, and then Oshy, Apricot, PB, Sunset and Sally would come about a week later to help with preparations, soon after which the reconstruction of Gisho Town would begin."

Story

Part 23-1: The Gisho Resurrection

After an explanation of events prior (see the quote at the top of this page), a large egg came to Gisho Island and landed, after which it opened and Oh Gee and Testube came out. Testube asked why they landed on the beach instead of the Gisho Town site, and Oh Gee said they would have to make some measurements anyway, so they traveled through the forest to the site, Testube carrying the devices. When they arrived, however, Oh Gee realized they had forgotten the lifeometer, the device used to test if any life was on the island. Testube went to retrieve it, but after finding it, noticed there were more beeps than just him and Oh Gee. He then heard shaking, and screamed.

Five days later, at Gisho Castle, Oshy, Apricot, PB, Sunset and Sally were preparing things for their trip to Gisho Island. Top and Topper showed up, saying they were ready to go, but Oshy broke the news to them that they weren't coming: Apricot didn't want them messing anything up. Top and Topper complained about this, but when Scorch showed up to come along as an SWDF representative, Oshy said that it was him who didn't want Scorch to go along. As the others did one final check on the ship, Top, Topper and Scorch began to plan to sneak on anyway.

Light Top and Dark Top appeared to Top, but for once agreed that they should sneak on. It was then Top realized they already had, and the three of them were cramped together in a suitcase on the eggpod ship. As Oshy, Apricot, PB, Sunset and Sally looked down on the island, Top and Topper began to push against one another, trying to make more room, when they accidentally sent the suitcase falling out of the ship to the island below.

Part 23-2: Transitional Part 1

When the suitcase fell, Top, Topper and Scorch were thrown out. Scorch began to access something on his battle armor, while Top and Topper argued; namely, Top tried to figure out who they should eat first. Scorch was doing something useful: Bringing up a map. The two closest locations were Deserted Plateau and Whomp Volcano; Top wanted a Desserted Plateau, but Scorch suggested they go to Whomp Volcano to get an idea as to where Gisho Town was, so Topper put it up to the readers to decide.

Part 23-3: Where’s My Ice Cream?

Topper and Scorch began to head towards Whomp Volcano, while Topper dragged Top towards the volcano (who was whining about ice cream). Scorch and Topper began to climb, while Top wanted lava cream, but ended up going up anyway... as UFO Top. Topper grabbed onto him while Scorch continued climbing up to the top. When they arrived, Scorch noted the location of the camp, but the volcano began to shake a little, causing Top to fall down into it. Topper and Scorch began to go down, Scorch using a grappling hook and Topper simply diving down into it.

Once they reached the bottom, Top said a rock broke his fall, and it got up, revealing to be a Whomp. It spoke in all caps at them, then Scorch blew it up with a frag grenade. He decided to investigate, and they went deeper into the volcano, only to find the hammer bro. named Dr. Topper. Before a quiz began, however, Dr. Topper's shift was up, and he left, leaving them to face the quizzical Magigoomba!

Part 23-4: He’s Mister Quiz Miser!

After Magigoomba sang Quiz Miser, Scorch told him they needed to get through. Magigoomba refused, saying the big boss would hurt him if he let them through, and was going to give them a quiz before they could pass. After ten questions, they were tied, so with one more question they finally won. The podium Magigoomba was on exploded in a shower of confetti, revealing it to be a warp pipe. Just then a door in the back opened up and a group of chain chomps came out, trying to bite them. They were in the way of the warp pipe, so Scorch went in and set mines around them, though getting hit by one once. After setting them, Scorch sent them off, sending the chain chomps into the air, and they quickly ran into the warp pipe before they fell back down.

Part 23-5: Bowser in the Volcanic Sea

At the bottom of Whomp Volcano, Bowser was watching his minions carry things back and forth. He told them he wanted his new, secret, super, hidden castle ready by tonight, and then walked off, only to find a warp pipe pop up in front of him. Top, Topper and Scorch came out, and Bowser yelled at them for intruding on his new castle. Scorch told Bowser the SWDF had sanctioned this land from being used by any specific kingdom, but Bowser, of course, didn't care, and a battle began.

Topper and Scorch worked together; Topper grabbed Bowser's tail and threw him into mines Scorch had set, blasting him into the air. Bowser pounded the ground they were on, though, sending most of it into the magma underneath the platform. Despite this, they were able to attack Bowser a similar way they did before, which finally defeated him. When they were about to clear out Bowser's minions, however, the volcano erupted a little, sending the platform they were on upwards and right out of the volcano and into the sky.

Part 23-6: Transitional Part 2

Going back in time to when Oshy, Apricot, PB, Sunset and Sally arrived at Gisho Town, they met Oh Gee at the town but learned from him that Testube had disappeared. They decided to check one of the three closest areas, Egg Village, Eggwood, or Yoshi Hills, leaving it up to the readers to vote.

Part 23-7: Extraterrestrial Insanity

The last thing Oh Gee told them (other than "bye") when they left to Egg Village was to be careful, as Whomp Volcano had some recent seismic activity at it. When they arrived at the former site of the village, they found some mechanical buildings there, which seemed to imply there were other scientists there. When a door opened however, they found a Shroob! Three more came out, but they were quickly dispatched of.

They went into the building, only to be attacked by a large amount of Shroobs. The Shroobs now had more varying weapons, but PB went crazy during the fight and blew them all up. Sally then called to them, having gone into another room, where they found what appeared to be some type of incubator (there was also the word "INCUBATOR" on it). They decided to be better safe than sorry, and destroyed the incubator for whatever it was to be used for.

Part 23-8: Dr. Dinosaur and the ‘Shrooms

After destroying the incubator, they considered the possibility of more Shroobs on their island when they heard someone yelling, asking what had happened there. They saw that it was Dr. Tyrato, along with a large army of Shroobs, some Dr. Shroobs, and a large, purple egg with spots near the top. Dr. Tyrato tried to claim it wasn't an egg, then told the Shroobs to get the egg out of there ASAP. Dr. Tyrato had some Dr. Shroobs come up to attack them, with the Dr. Shroobs eating some Mushrooms to grow giant. Despite this, they were still defeated through teamwork, though the rest of the Shroobs had gotten away. They needed to find out what they were up to, while they still needed to find Testube, so they left it up to the vote as to what to do next.

Part 23-9: The Rexeum of Unnatural Botany

With Deserted Plateau winning, they arrived to the plateau only to find the Rexeum there. Confused, thinking that it should have been destroyed by the meteor years ago, they went inside, only to be chased out by Shroobs. They cleverly ran around the Rexeum, however, eventually reaching the entrance and running inside, locking the Shroobs out. They saw the place empty, but the egg was up on stage, so they climbed up. On stage, they were about to open it when they were surrounded by Shroobs and Dr. Tyrato.

Dr. Tyrato decided to show them what was in the egg, and a barrier formed around them. The egg cracked, a long tail came out... and that was it. It began to walk around. Dr. Tyrato yelled at a Dr. Shroob, asking why it wasn't ready to at least fully get out, but when Sally attacked the tail, it snapped back and smacked against the egg, breaking it and revealing a Dino Shroob Piranha, which had a green head with purple spots, black lips, and a purple body. PB was relieved it wasn't a yoshi, but it still was none too friendly, and roared at them.

Part 23-10: Dino Shroob Piranha

Dino Shroob Piranha began to chase Sally around the barriered cage, which PB used the fact it was distracted to attack its tail, smacking it in the head with it. PB was smashed away by the tail, and Dino Shroob Piranha began to chase Sunset. Oshy ran behind it and attacked it, but then got hit by its tail too. The orb on its tail began to glow, and a laser suddenly came out. Sally used her Mirror Mask to deflect it back, however, so Dr. Tyrato yelled at it to go to phase three, so Dino Shroob Piranha spat up a bunch of goop.

Out from the goop came Shroobs made of goop, but Oshy, Apricot and Sunset ate koopa shells that gave them the ability to spit juice to clean it all up. Oshy then tossed a grenade egg into the Dino Shroob Piranha's mouth, causing it to explode into pieces. Dr. Tyrato yelled angrily at them, saying that was supposed to be a pet for Rexor, and said they would become lost forever. A Shroob pressed a button on a remote, and a trapdoor opened, dropping them into the caverns. When Sally floated upwards out of the hole, Tyrato used the "unstuckinator", causing a giant boot to crash down and smash Sally down inside. As Tyrato spoke to himself about what was down there, a massive platform suddenly crashed through the ceiling and landed on the hole. Top, on the platform, then greeted them: “…oh, hi there!”

Part 23-11: Adding Injult to Insulry

Seeing that the ceiling of the Deserted Caves had been covered with something, so Oshy, Apricot, PB, Sunset and Sally decided the best course of action would be to go down the tunnels to try and find a way out. Above, in the Rexeum, Tyrato was yelling at Top, Topper and Scorch being there... as well as Bowser, who was still unconscious. Top, Topper and Scorch were surprised at Tyrato and Shroobs being there, and Tyrato decided to take out his anger on Top, Topper and Scorch.

As Tyrato fired bullet bills at them, Scorch picked them off one-by-one, while Top tried to find a good ability to use. Instead, he found a Copy Bubble, and ate it. He was hit by a bullet bill, though, losing the visor, which landed on Topper, though it didn't even fit him. As he tried to pull it off, he accidentally activated it, copying a bullet bill and becoming a Hitmontop Missile. Topper slammed into Tyrato, knocking him against the wall.

Just then, Tyrato heard something Shroobian through his headgear, and exclaiming something as "great" he ran off, saying he'd return. Top and Scorch tried to go after him, but Topper was still stuck as a missile. Having to get him out of that wasted time, and they lost Tyrato; deciding to return to Gisho Town, they found it to be empty of anyone, though a lot of science equipment was strewn around. The nearest areas were Yoshi Hills and Eggwood, so it was put up to a vote as to where they would go.

Part 23-12: The Bun is Saved

At Eggwood, Scroch swore. But other than that, he found that his battle armor had taken damage, and the PS system had gone offline, preventing him from contacting anyone and finding out where the others were. Just then a suitcase fell down from nowhere, and the Good Character Brigade came out: Hey You and Tron. Soon after they heard voices not far away: Kamek, Bowser Jr. and Kammy! In addition, they had Testube in a wheeled cage. They were there on a scouting mission to find anything of interest, but instead they found Hey You, Top, Topper, Scorch and Tron.

Scorch fired on them, but Kamek used his wand to knock the rifle out of Scorch's hands; Top inhaled Kamek's wand, and Topper attacked him, though Bowser Jr. stopped his attack. Hey You distracted Kammy by taking her hat and giving her his head, then telling her to go long like it was a football. Kammy obliged, only to question what she was doing; she ran over a mine Scorch had set and was blown away.

Kamek took Scorch's rifle he had dropped, though, and fired on him, but Top swallowed Kamek's wand and used Magician Top abilities to blow Kamek away. Topper and Hey You defeated Bowser Jr., and Top took a key Kamek had to open Testube's cage. Testube asked if they were supposed to be there, and Topper said yes. Since Testube was kidnapped soon after arriving on the island, he didn't know where the others were, so they decided to return to Gisho Town.

Part 23-13: Transitional Part 3

In the caverns under Gisho Island, Oshy, Apricot, PB, Sunset and Sally found a split in the tunnel, one going west and the other going southwest. They left it up to the readers to decide where they would go.

Part 23-14: Guys! It’s a Battle!

Taking the southwest tunnel, they eventually came to an opening which led them right to Gisho Town, only now it was overrun with Shy Guys! They saw a white shy guy on a colorful tank, and recognized him as General Guy. Realizing that meant Bowser was also there, they fought, with General Guy sending shy guys after them. When the shy guys were losing, though, they retreated, so General Guy had the Shy Bombers attack them. This also failed, so he used their new weapon, the head of a Shayoshi! It was now modified to be a vessel that had a massive tongue that shot out and grabbed Apricot.

They ran at it to try and attack it, but the tongue came out again; Oshy dodged it, and it hit Sunset. PB and Sally tried to pull him off, but the tongue lost no velocity, so Oshy jumped on them until it got to the mouth and jumped onto the vessel's nose. He hit one of the eyes with a grenade egg to blow it open, then attacked the two shy guys. He was about to try and get them out when the vessel was hit by an electric attack from General Guy's tank, planning to blow up the whole vessel with them in it. Suddenly Sally and the others burst out of the mouth. They then quickly made short work of General Guy's tank by overloading it with electricity, blasting him away. The remaining shy guys began to panic and ran in the direction that he flew.

Part 23-15: The Convergence

After searching through the town, Oshy, Apricot, PB, Sunset and Sally found Oh Gee nowhere. Assuming General Guy kidnapped him, they were about to go after him when Sally ran into Top; Top, Topper, Scorch, Tron, Hey You, and Testube showed up. Seeing Testube was all right, Oshy realized that left only Oh Gee to find, but Scorch said that there were no shy guys in the town earlier, nor was there an Oh Gee, which ruled out General Guy kidnapping him. They realized the island had become a battleground for evil, with Bowser, Tyrato, and the Shroobs all around.

They needed to find Oh Gee, but it was getting late, so they decided to rest for the night. In the morning, however, they found Apricot to be missing! Tron found something on the ground, shaped like a DSi, and Scorch took it; a hologram of Rexor came out, and laughed. Rexor explained that he had kidnapped Apricot last night, and that if they wanted to get her back, they should come to the lava pit in the northwest part of the island.

Part 23-16: THIS WAY TO YOUR DOOM

Once they arrived at the Lava Pit, they found a large, evil castle with the entrance as a Rex head made of stone. Realizing it was obviously Rexor's Castle (and that he had been busy), and though the front door was open, leading to an obvious trap, they had to go find Apricot. Once they went inside, they found a sign with two arrows; the left said it led to Apricot, while the right said it led to doom. A tricky puzzle indeed, given Apricot was shouting "HELP" from the left. They figured it was a trick, with Rexor expecting them to expect the signs were misleading and go down the doom path.

Hey You exclaimed the correct path was to the right, though it was instead to the left, so they headed left. However, when they reached an empty room, they heard a recording of Apricot yelling "HELP!" and heard the recording go on to have Rexor say she had been of help, and that he had recorded her voice and planned to trick Oshy and the others when they got inside. And they had fallen for it--the back door slammed shut, and Bowser fell from above, only he was wearing a Shroob helmet and called himself Shrowser.

Part 23-17: Shrowser, Shing of the Shoopas!

Shrowser began to battle them, with Topper deciding to try the same old attack; he grabbed Shrowser's tail, spun him, and threw him to some mines Scorch had planted. Shrowser went into its shell, however, and nearly crushed Sally. Shrowser was finally defeated by a team attack with Testube, Sally and Sunset by destroying the helmet on his head. A wall flipped over to show a large monitor with Dr. Tyrato and some Dr. Shroobs, who said that they may have beaten Bowser, but they were stuck in there forever.

It was true that they tried to get out, but to no avail, but then they heard Bowser speak, who had woken up. Bowser said he wanted to help them with payback against the Shroobs and "that freeloader, Rexor". Bowser smashed the door opene, allowing them to exit, but stayed there since he was still beat from the previous battle (though it was also so he could escape when they left). With that, they continued on to find Rexor and Apricot.

Part 23-18: The Power of Rexor

They entered a room filled with lava save for a short, stone path leading to a round platform with a throne Rexor was sitting on, along with a cage Apricot was in. They began the pre-battle talk, with Rexor explaining he had been training since his last defeat and had come here way before the island was called as a restricted zone, building his new castle. He still kidnapped Apricot, though, so the battle began by Rexor activating the gravity on a sphere in the air, causing them all to fly up to it.

Sally and Rexor fought with their star beam sword and fire sword, respectively, until Rexor spat a large boulder with a red circle on it at her, squishing her. The boulder rolled around until Scorch destroyed it with a grenade, causing some Electroshroobas to pop out. Rexor slammed the sphere to form shockwaves, and Topper followed with his own Earthquake, causing the sphere to rupture and explode, knocking them all back down. Rexor slammed a button on his throne, and the stone platform lifted up and away into another room, taking Apricot with it. PB shot rapid ice bursts on the lava to form a walkway for them to go across.

In the next room, Rexor was waiting for them on a rope bridge. Rexor pushed a large boulder at them, but Tron floated over it. Topper kicked the boulder back at Rexor, knocking him down, and everyone jumped over him. Scorch then set grenades on the end of the bridge and blew it up, knocking both it and Rexor into the lava. This would have negative repercussions, however, as Rexor pulled himself out of the lava and was now bones: Dry Rexor. Dry Rexor fought them with black fire, shrugging off most attacks, but then was damaged by a light burst from PB, and they began to use light attacks on Dry Rexor. After enough attacks, Hey You knocked Dry Rexor over and into the lava.

It still wasn't over: The lava began to drain, leaving a deep, hollow bottom and Dry Rexor's bones. Up on the wall a platform came out that had Dr. Tyrato and some Shroobs on it, and Dr. Tyrato exclaimed that he and the Shroobs had a laser to revive Rexor with, and shot the laser at the bones. Rexor was not only revived by this, however, he had grown ten times his normal size! Rexor's attacks were so large they were hard to avoid, but Sunset managed to get to Rexor's head and damage him there. Hey You used a random fire hydrant to douse Rexor's flames, and Scorch used explosives to topple Rexor over long enough for Oshy to explain a team attack plan he had.

The attack was successful, and defeated Rexor, sending him back to his normal size. Tyrato came to Rexor, who woke up, and said the Shroobs had left, and that they should escape quickly. They ran off while Hey You used his beak to open Apricot's cage, and she and Oshy embraced. They still had no Oh Gee, however, but then they heard a voice call to Oshy. The voice said for him to come to Star Cavern, where the voice had much to tell him. They obliged, and along the way found Bowser had disappeared.

Part 23-19: The Star Cavern

Above Gisho Island, a large, dragon-shaped ship flew away. Rexor was angered; if they were going to be on the island more often, it was a terrible place to have a secret castle. For now, they decided to return to their normal castle. At Star Cavern, the heroes entered only to find Oh Gee, safe and sound! Oh Gee said he was brought here to be safe from the evil forces on the island, and when asked who brought him there, Oh Gee said Oshy would be pleasantly surprised.

Oh Gee brought them to a room with a rock that was bein sat on by an aged, purple, female yoshi with red sandals. She got up and introduced herself as Lavinia. Something about the name sparked something in Oshy, and he realized that this yoshi was his mother. Topper complained it was unfair, as he hasn't met either of his parents, and Lavinia agreed. She knew about Topper and the others from her magical abilities, and had brought them there to tell them their efforts would spring forth a new civilzation on Gisho Island.

Just then, her form began to fade away a little: She was not of the living, but a spirit, as she had died with the meteor hitting the island. She said goodbye, and disappeared, only to reappear soon after with a warning: Something was returning, something with greater numbers than before; it would come before they knew it, and those who were more powerful than they would know of its returning before them. With her words echoing in their minds, they left the island; Oshy allowed SWDF intervention just to root out anymore of the Koopa Troop or Rexor Organization left on the island. Eventually... the island would be rebuilt.

Alternate Paths

Oshy, Apricot, PB, Sunset, Sally

Vote 2: Eggwood

Had they gone to Eggwood instead of Egg Village, they would have encountered Kamek, Kammy and Bowser Jr. on a scouting mission and fought against them. Testube would not have been there, however; Testube was to be in the second area they went to (however, they never went to a second area until the other group did). Once they were defeated, they would have returned to Gisho Town to find Oh Gee missing. They would have then had another vote for either Yoshi Hills or Egg Village.

In addition, Tyrato would have made it to Egg Village and the Dino Shroob Piranha would have been properly hatched, making for a much tougher battle later on.

Vote 2: Yoshi Hills

If they had gone to Yoshi Hills, they would have battled against General Guy and the shy guys, as well as the Shayoshi head. Upon defeating them, they would have found Testube to not be there, and returned to Gisho Town, same as the previous section.

Vote 3: Gisho Town

If they had returned to Gisho Town as opposed to going after the Shroobs, they would have found Oh Gee to not be at Gisho Town and would have voted to either go to Eggwood or Yoshi Hills, where the same things as above would have occured except they would have found Testube.

Vote 5: West Tunnel

Taking the west tunnel would have brought them to Rexor's castle, where they would have fought against Rexor; meanwhile, the other group would have returned to Gisho Town and fought General Guy themselves.

Top, Topper, Scorch

Vote 1: Deserted Plateau

Had they gone to Deserted Plateau as opposed to Whomp Volcano, they would have been attacked by Shroobs after going into the Rexeum, but would have ran around it and gotten inside, tricking the Shroobs. Then they would have gone to the stage, fallen underground, and fought the weakest Dino Shroob Piranha, after which Tyrato and the Shroobs would have escaped deeper into the caverns.

In addition, Bowser would have finished his own plan and later on Whomp Volcano would have erupted, causing lava to begin spreading across the island.

Vote 4: Yoshi Hills

Had they gone to Yoshi Hills instead of Eggwood, they would have fought General Guy and stopped him from getting to Gisho Town. Kamek, Kammy and Bowser Jr., however, would have made it to Whomp Volcano, and once Rexor had been defeated at his castle, Whomp Volcano would have began to erupt.
