History

Creation and Recreation

During a incident that involved the X-Nauts retaking their base on Star World's Moon, the Yoshi Bodyguards were caught by a celestial object known as the Cosmic Meteor, which created reflections of everyone around it made of cosmic goo. One of these was a reflection of Subsourian Ereshkigal. The two fought, but Cosmic Subsourian was unable to use the same level of magic as his counterpart. He was hit by a Nosforatu spell, which caused him to liquidize. The Yoshi Bodyguards moved on and left their cosmic forms for dead.

However, nearby Doctor Albert of the Metal Army was trailing the Cosmic Meteor in order to study it for potential use as a power source for the Ultimate AI. After the chaos on the moon subsided, he investigated the battle site to find that Cosmic Subsourian was still alive, but had just barely held on to the mana of Subsourian's final spell. Doctor Albert gathered his remains and took him to Alinos.

In his lab, Doctor Albert rebuilt him, replacing most of his ruined cosmic portions with a nanobot alloy, which projected an energy field that kept his cosmic portions stable. He also installed a piece of the Cosmic Meteor in his chest, which allowed him to exist outside of its range. This and the nanobot alloy granted him the ability to change shape into whatever he needed, allowing for texture and tone changes as well. He took on the name of Litera, and would long be considered Doctor Albert's second biggest mistake.

Chaos and Espionage

Litera stayed in the Citadel of Ultima, which was still under construction and still in need of a power source. The leader of the base, Ultra Stuffwell, found a power source in a Chaos Emerald, but noticed that there were a number of groups hunting for all seven after they were scattered in X-Chaos. He sent Litera into the fray with a mission to disrupt anyone who went searching for the Metal Army's emerald.

He moved to Star World, the center of the chaos, and infiltrated a group of rebels who were dissatisfied with the power of the Council of Star World and its SWDF. He disguised himself as a standard human and began to manipulate them into harassing the Yoshi Bodyguards to keep them from continuing their hunt for the emerald. He soon assassinated the old leader of the group, and regathered them while recruiting various mercenaries, including Eli, Amphy, Paper, and Christopher. With a small army at his command, he decided to uncover what Star World knew about the emeralds and its location. Thus he moved to raid their research station at Fahr Outpost.

When he moved in to attack the base, he came across an X-Naut force under Admiral Stalvick. Seeing the X-Nauts as another faction to manipulate, he joined forces with them with the offer of showing them a back route into their base. Litera helped raid the base on Fahr Outpost, freeing Ripvor and Teen Angst from the research facility. After they raided the databanks, Litera and his men were considered conscripts of the X-Naut Army and brought under Stalvick's command.

Litera helped with the raid on the Renton Shipyards, and warned the X-Nauts that the SWDF could typically respond with an assault force within several hours of an attack. Grodus expressed distrust in Litera, but took his advice. Litera assisted in the raid itself helped Paper steal a small Levithian Class Battlecruiser. After this, the X-Nauts attacked Mobius during a Metal Army invasion in order to find what information Doctor Eggman had on the location of the Metal Army's emerald. Upon raiding his base, the X-Nauts discovered that he held a weapon known as the AI Disruptor, capable of destroying Metal Army AI programs used in their soldier models. Litera saw the threat of such a device to Metal Army operations, and convinced Grodus that the device needed to be destroyed. Stalvick objected, but Grodus dismissed him. Litera aided in breaking through the defenses around the Disruptor, and handed over command of destroying it to Stalvick.

The X-Nauts discovered that Whirl had information on the location of the last Emerald, but they were unsure of where he was. Litera and Eli raided a Galactic Federation communications relay and discovered he had been taken to station square. However, the virus they used to disrupt their communications allowed the Metal Army to use nuclear weapons against the Federation, which threatened Whirl. Litera helped with the attack on the Metal Army position, and aided in the raid of Whirl's lab to capture his friend Evelyn. When she was used as a bargaining chip Coshi and a Yoshi Bodyguard force rescued both Whirl and her.

Litera and the X-Nauts moved to a distant uncharted system where Coshi had set up a base. Litera was sent to defend against the Metal Army forces stationed on the planet, under the command of Athene. However, he signaled the Metal Army forces to hold off until the Conscripts made it into a position where they would gather the information, then to attack and destroy the base and the X-Naut forces. His goal was to lead the X-Nauts to Alinos where they would be destroyed while preventing the Yoshi Bodyguards from communicating their information to Star World. Stalvick noticed his forces were out of position, but Litera refused to admit it, and cut Stalvick off, who pulled back. Seeing an opportunity to curry favor from Grodus, Litera rescued the Conscripts and returned to Grodus, stating Stalvick had betrayed them.

He tracked Stalvick to the moon of Hylia, where he had rebuilt an AI Disruptor. He signaled Metal Army forces to hide on the planet while he convinced Grodus that Stalvick had betrayed him. Litera and the Conscripts were given orders to assault the Disruptor and kill Stalvick, which Litera did. In his last breath however, Stalvick revealed Litera to be a traitor, who was working with the Metal Army. Litera then set the AI Disruptor to overload, aiming to destroy it. He then sent in the Metal Army to kill the remaining X-Naut forces and conscripts. The conscripts managed to reactivate the core's cooling systems, allowing Grodus to preserve the AI Disruptor and assault Alinos.

Litera went into hiding, reporting back to Alinos. Doctor Albert scolded him for his failure, and Litera suggested that they activate Omega and try to defend their citadel. However, the X-Nauts broke through, and Litera revealed himself to Grodus, showing his true form and revealing that he was working for the Metal Army all along. He then retreated with Doctor Albert and Omega.

The Metal Civil War

Litera worked for Omega in the meantime, serving as intellegence for his own branch of the Metal Army. He was briefly seen on Mekkai before its fall, serving as a bodyguard for Omega. After it fell, Litera retreated with the rest of Omega's forces to the distant planet that Athene was stationed on.

After Grodus used the Citadel of Ultima to raise his own Metal Army, Litera helped Omega raise allies to fight his AI Disruptor. Litera moved to the planet of Mintop, which was under siege by Grodus's forces, and forcefully gathered Conrad the Conqueror. After their allies destroyed the Disruptor, Litera aided in a resource raid of the planet of Tallon IV, which helped in a coming assault on Mintop.

Litera was a part of Omega's forces in the attack against Grodus's position on Mintop, where he crushed the temporary capitol of Ripvorgrade. After the fall of Mintop, Omega ordered that the Metal Army destroy their allies. Litera was in command of preventing the escape of the Dark Perforation forces under General LeBombe, when he disguised himself as one of his bodyguards and shot him as he tried to escape into a transport.

Litera retreated with Omega to the distant planet when it came under siege by Grodus's Metal Army forces. Litera tried to hold a outlying outpost but left via musical number before it fell. He then scouted an X-Naut base at the rear of the Metal Army position, which revealed that they were using auxillary devices to control the Metal Army forces. These were destroyed and the seige broken.

Litera went with Omega int he final assault on the Citadel of Ultima. After they broke through and found Grodus had left, Litera and Omega stood uncontested in the base. However, it was revealed Athene had betrayed them and began to open fire on the citadel. After a quick battle Athene was killed.

Omega took the citadel into orbit, but it was revealed that three fleets had come to attack Omega's position, one under Conrad, one under Grodus, and one under Subsourian. Litera engaged Subsourian's fleet, fighting the Wizard Gundam with his own mech suit. Eventually Litera was victorious, and Subsourian's fleet was forced to pull back. After all three fleets were destroyed, Litera vanished with Omega's forces.

The Later Years

For the next few years Litera worked behind the scenes, setting up the arrival of Omega's forces. He was invovled in an attack known as the Comsic Anchor Incident, where he destroyed the SWDF's attempt to create a trans-dimensional portal known as the Cosmic Anchor. Litera lead the attack with his own forces disguised as SWDF soldiers, causing Subsourian, Scorch, and the Stormhunters to be thrown into an unstable dimensional rift.

Litera would appear next attempting to infiltrate the Warpstarmy, but was eventually discovered and defeated by Team TOT. He and his forces were forced to pull back to Omega's citadel.

Discrepancies

World Awakening

Litera was sleighed to die with the rest of the Metal Army in World Awakening when the Citadel crashed. However, the canon on this story is current contested with the possibility of the ending being rewritten.

Non-Canon Appearances

TRPTADHAN

Litera appeared in Top's RP That Actually Doesn't Have a Name, using Doctor Albert's reality machine to appear with the rest of the group. He didn't do much other than drive a train and be random

DORPTHALFIN: TRTDAHAN 3

Litera appeared again in the 3rd iteration of TRTDAHAN, coming from his "happy place" as the Citadel began to crash in World Awakening. However the RP was short lived.

Pokemon Rollenspeil

Litera was supposed to make a cameo appearance in Rollenspeil, revealing that the ruin in the desert was the remains of the Citadel of Ultima and that Litera had survived the crash.

Personal Information

Personality

Litera's standard personality is random. He enjoys annoying everyone around him, and usually will break the bounds of reality to do so. Litera is not bound by the fourth wall, and will constantly address User:Subsourian. Despite his nature, Litera is also violent and villianous, and will not hesitate to kill. These killings can be botched up by his random acts, however.

When in disguise, Litera takes on the personality of whatever he has taken the form of, giving him the nickname "The Cosmic Actor." The only forms he has taken for any extensive period of time have been that of a human conscript in Grodus Rising, which was an informative assistant to Grodus and a serious soldier, and of a Warpstarmy Soldier in The Warpstarmy Chronicles: The Engagement of TOT, where he took the part of a slightly random soldier assistant.

Abilities

Litera's primary ability is shape shifting. Litera has the ability to take on any form or personality he so wishes, and can sometimes double his size to suit a target. However, Litera is unable to produce weapons, and thus has to rely on what he can get his hands on.

In addition, Litera has a small cloaking field. This allows him to get into range of a target and take on its form, or even to assassinate targets without being noticed.

Litera's weapon of choice is a custom RK-47 Rifle, used to snipe targets from afar. He can change out various sorts of ammo for this weapon, but so far has used armor piercing, incinerary, and Electronic Pulse rounds.

Litera showed a very limited use of magic, possibly gained from his origins as a mirror image of Subsourian. He can use small fire spells and can occasionally use a short range teleportation.

Final Smash: Final Smash

Litera smashes things. For the final time.

I don't know what do you want from me?

Family

Litera was created as a cosmic mirror image of Subsourian. I guess that makes the Cosmic Comet his dad or something. He was then rebuilt by Doctor Albert, who hates him, and serves Omega.

Items

RK-47 Rifle

Litera's rifle is a modified RK-47. He uses this to take out targets from a distance, though he usually uses it in close range combat despite it not being the least bit suited for it. Litera is a surprisingly good shot with it, with his electronic eye allowing him to focus in on targets from up to 3 kilometers away.

Jack of Spades Mobile Suit

Litera has a customized combat mobile suit known as the Ace of Spades. This has only appeared once, when it destroyed Subsourian's Wizard Gundam. The mobile suit showcased the ability to fire plasma rounds as well as the ability to project hallucinations. As Litera usually does not engage in direct combat, he usually has no need for the mobile suit, but it serves as a last resort.

Residence

Litera lives in the Citadel of Ultima with Omega and Doctor Albert. He does move around, and can usually be found infiltrating some army in the field.

Interactions with other Characters

Susbourian Ereshkigal

Subsourian sees Litera as almost nothing of any sort of threat, and that annoys Litera, who just wants to be loved I mean hated like all the other big boy evil forms. As such Litera doesn't like Sub, but since his user basically made Subsourian a magical Batman Litera isn't dumb enough to fight him in direct combat. He does like to pester his operations, as seen in the Cosmic Anchor Incident.

User:Subsourian

Litera will constantly bicker with the User Subsourian, usually involving the user dropping an anvil on him or something. Because he's the only character who can see him, most other characters think he's just crazy. Litera doesn't think Sub is such a bad guy, but enjoys annoying him. The user wishes to drop more anvils on him.

Doctor Albert

Doctor Albert was the one to recreate Litera and keep him from dying on Star World's Moon. He regards this as the second biggest mistake he's ever made, as Litera now constantly pesters him perpetually. The two are rarely apart, with Litera usually making messes that Doctor Albert must then clean up. Still, they make a surprisingly good team.

Omega

Omega is Litera's boss. Despite his outbursts and rage, Litera thinks he's the best thing ever and is usually oblivious to his annoyance. Omega regards him as a valued asset, and despite his random nature keeps him around.

Nonmetal Pyro

Nonmetal Pyro sure is a character.

Grodus

Litera actually held some distaste toward Grodus, and taunted him in the X-Naut Wars regarding the death of his friend Stalvick. He was happy to hear the Grodus was destroyed with his fleets.

Ein

Litera keeps getting Ein and Eli mixed up. Ein is German for one. This has to do with their interactions.

Stalvick

Litera actually really hated Stalvick. He was the one who was able to work out Litera's identity, and got in the way of his operations against the X-Nauts. Litera finally gained Grodus's trust, and managed to get into a position where he could kill Stalvick, but not before he blew Litera's cover.

Hey You

Litera thinks Hey You is a pretty swell guy with the boppinest boops around.

Trivia

  • Sub actually never wanted to make an evil clone character of Subsourian, but near the end of Grodus Rising he needed a character who would be working for the Metal Army. As Cosmic Subsourian appeared in X-Chaos, which served as a prequel to the story, he thought it would fit.
  • Litera's name was based off of Sub being bored in English class and covering part of the word "Literature" on his English book and thinking oh wow that word sure is a word. Also he refused to just call him "Cosmic Subsourian."
  • Litera's one cosmic eye is based off of Dimentio's.
