The Last Stand was a DXX Pay-Per-View that took place at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on January 25th, 2009. The show featured matches from Monday Night Massacre, Friday Night Mayhem and DXX Rated, with main events including Nero Jones vs Ryan Black from Rated, John Cena vs Nabeel Nawaz from Mayhem and White Cloud vs Tristagi from Massacre. Fans and staff were first annoyed at the name change (as January previously featured 'The Rebirth' event), however it was later discovered that The Rebirth was never axed and shall be instead taking place in September rather than January so it is the literal rebirth of the DXX year following Anniversary.
