Soundgasm

From Charas Project

Soundgasm is an imaginary band that derived from a thread of Dragonium's in which he displays his hate for Nickelback and the fact that they "sold out." This lead to a discussion about other bands that took the same path. In addition, Dragonium claimed he never said he liked Green Day. It was all summed up with a statement made by drenrin2120. "Music lately is really... painful to listen to. 0_0" Dragonium then came up with the idea and stated "We should start a Charas band."

Humble beginnings

The idea took off from the statement with various members "claiming" instruments. A quick run in with Dragonium and Uberpwn_w00t occured when Uberpwn claimed he would steal all of Dragonium's spotlight when it is, in fact, common knowledge that such a thing is not possible. After many members chose their instruments, Archem2 named the band 'Soundgasm', considering it was "like a musical hodge-podge of wicked-awesome sound! A 'Soundgasm', if you will." It was also decided that Soundgasm would write and play music of mixed languages to make sure the audience had no idea what the songs were about, and therefore, love them to death. X_marks_the_ed took it upon himself to take an image of the video game Rock Band and edit it to be Rock Band: Charas.

Expansion

Soon after the positions were neraly filled, Archem2 created a new thread outside of the Nickelback/ sellout discussion, in which he unveiled a splendid logo for Soundgasm [1]. It started with conflict, as X_marks_the_ed had mistaken a song suggestion for a Family Guy reference, which he detests with the burning flames of the sun. But it did not last long as he found the thread in which the sexy party was mentioned and began to support the song. Into the second page, Dudewheresmymount began to create sprite images of band members playing their instruements. They can all be seen here.
