Wiggly Jr.: Second Journey

From Yb Timeline

"Then Wiggly Jr. learned that the Wiggler he thought was his mother was a friend of his mother’s that had adopted him. His mother disappeared while distributing the shards of the star jewel. Wiggly Jr., not one to take that sitting down, left a month later to find his mother."

Story

Part 12-1: Just the Introduction

First, the backstory, which can be seen in Return of FOEA, was explained. This actually occured some time before chapter 1 actually began. Then, it showed Wiggly Jr. buying a boat at Toad Town. That was it, really.

Chapter 1: A Pirating Problem

Part 12-2: Now Connections to Wary’s Stories!

Wiggly Jr. made his way to Keelhaul Key to talk to Cortez, who knew the location one of the five shards were originally placed. After talking to some residents, he began to head through the jungle, but met a strange girl named Enni. The two of them became sort of friends, and decided to travel together. It seemed to Wiggly Jr. she was a bit lost, though... at any rate, they soon found themselves at a dead end, needing a boat to continue any further through Pirate's Grotto.

Part 12-3: Twice In One Year

They couldn't swim due to the Nibbles, but a random boat transformation bubble appeared and turned Wiggly Jr. into a submarine. Enni rode on him until they got to the back of Pirate's Grotto. There, they found Cortez and Admiral Bobbery. Wiggly Jr. announced he needed information from Cortez, but Cortez said he had problems of his own--his skull gem was stolen. If Wiggly Jr. and Enni got his skull gem back, however, he would give up the information Wiggly Jr. needed. Bobbery told them that a group of shy guys stole it, so Enni brought Wiggly Jr. across the ocean by using her super-speed (much to Wiggly Jr.'s surprise), and they soon made it to a shy guy-filled ship.

Part 12-4: Shying Into Battle

Wiggly Jr. and Enni fought against a group of shy guys, all different kinds, although mostly the shy guys just got burnt by a Pyro Guy. Once they were defeated, Anti Guy showed up. Anti Guy used a bazooka, but for some reason the bazooka shot spun around and blasted him instead. Just then, General Guy came above deck.

Part 12-5: General Guy’s May. Wait, What?

General Guy began to attack Wiggly Jr. and Enni with a giant cannon, telling them that he was under orders from Bowser to get the skull gem. Although a good portion of the ship was destroyed, General Guy was able to force them to a corner and they were tied up, even though that wasn't even in the original script. They were then brought to the Koopa Kingdom.

Chapter 2: Escape from Koopa Kingdom

Part 12-6: ...Like I Know the Name.

General Guy returned to Bowser's Castle and gave him the skull gem, while Wiggly Jr. and Enni were tossed into a jail cell. They were able to escape, however, due to Enni's power over earth (the walls were made of rock). They attempted to escape, but when they entered a room with a Magigoomba, and were thrown into a random quiz show. In the end, they lost, and were sent to a floor below.

Part 12-7: They’re Magically Malicious!

Wiggly Jr. and Enni found themselves in a dark room; Wiggly Jr. used a sword to bring some light into the room, and they saw a giant, sleeping chain chomp with them. They just barely got out before it woke up, and confronted Magigoomba after getting back up. This time, Magigoomba fled, and Wiggly Jr. and Enni gave chase. They ended up at the hangar, where Kammy and Kamek were, and battled against them. During the fight, Kammy was defeated, dropping the skull gem in the process, and Wiggly Jr. threatended to stab Kamek if he didn't tell him where the yellow shard Morton Sr. had. Apparently, Kamek didn't know he had been revived; Kamek eventually told Wiggly Jr. the shard had been found on Yoshi's Island. With that, Wiggly Jr. and Enni began to make their escape.

Part 12-8: This Part Isn’t Very Special.

Wiggly Jr. and Enni escaped in a Koopa Clown Car, but it was so big they had some trouble steering it. Bowser showed up in another clown car, demanding the skull gem back, but they escaped thanks to Enni's super speed. They soon returned to Pirate's Grotto, gave Cortez his skull gem, and learned from him that the shard had been found at Sirena Beach on Isle Delfino. With two possible leads, Cortez agreed to take Wiggly Jr. and Enni to the two locations, so off to Yoshi's Island they went.

Chapter 3: Yoshi Times and Ghostly Crimes

Part 12-9: World 3-1: The Ghostly Thief

When they arrived on Yoshi's Island, the yoshis began to accuse Cortez of robbing them. Apparently, it seemed, a ghost had been robbing some yoshis recently. Before a fight could break out, Jet Gundam appeared to quell the fighting. Wiggly Jr. and Enni ended up having to find the real thief. Jet Gundam, however, recognized Wiggly Jr. from his YB databank and agreed to help out. Unfortunately, while they were making their way to a haunted castle, Jet Gundam was hit by a chomp rock and began falling.

Part 12-10: World 3-2: Ghosts ‘n’ Blocks

When they came to after crashing, they realized they had landed right outside their destination. Thus, they made their way into the haunted castle and saw, not a ghost, but a YI Information Block. This was Teen Angst, who agreed to show them where the thief was if they brought her out of the castle due to the phone reception being bad. They made their way through the castle, and came upon Hector the Reflector. After a battle, all the stolen items appeared, but they were locked in.

Part 12-11: World 3-3: Pots ‘n’ Pans, Without the Pans

Suddenly a large, potted ghost appeared; Ronald the Potted Ghost (Roger was his cousin). After easily defeating it, they got a key and escaped. They returned the stolen items to the Yoshis, and Wiggly Jr. learned that his mother had indeed gone by the village, leaving a shard there, but the Yoshi Village Chief didn't know where she went off to afterwards, making that place a dead end.

Chapter 4: Serenity. NOT!

Part 12-12: Hotel Robotica

When the group arrived at Sirena Beach, they found that the hotel was being overrun by robots, specifically a Metal Army recon unit; apparently, Jet Gundam's brother, Ultra Stuffwell. However, when they went into the hotel, they found it was a trap, although still by Ultra Stuffwell. Enni was able to break the electrical barrier they had been trapped in, however, and they escaped into the air duct/attic. Jet Gundam was unable to fit, so he stayed and fought Ultra Stuffwell.

Part 12-13: Ring, Ring

While Jet Gundam fought Ultra Stuffwell, the other 3 traveled through the attic. They came across a Pianta who hadn't been kidnapped due to him mopping the attic, so they borrowed his bucket and mop and used it to get the jump on the other robots that had been with Ultra Stuffwell. Thanks to Teen Angst's Final Smash, the robots were defeated, and thanks to some Boo distractions, Ultra Stuffwell was blasted away. Unfortunately, the hotel manager did not know of any shard or anything, leaving it to be a second dead end. Teen Angst remained at Sirena Beach.

Chapter 5: This Counts as a Chapter?

Part 12-14: The Final Lead (Not Quite Super Part)

With no more leads, the group returned to Toad Town, where they split up; Jet Gundam returned to the YB, and Enni went off on her own investigating. Wiggly Jr. went through Toad Town for a bit until a Toad noticed him, saying that Merlon wanted to speak to a Wiggler that matched his description. Wiggly Jr. went to Merlon's house, and Merlon told him his son, Merle, had a vision about him, so Wiggly Jr. headed out to Starborn Valley. When he arrived, Monstar appeared, but Wiggly Jr. just passed it due to neither able to actually hurt one another. Since Monstar was actually just a bunch of Star Kids trying to protect Starborn Valley, Wiggly Jr. went to Merle and learned Merle had a vision that Wiggly Jr. was searching for his mother. Merle explained that years ago, his mother had come by with a single shard, and went north to a temple. Because she had only one shard at the time, that was most likely the best place to look. And thus, Wiggly Jr. traveled north to the temple, but what he found there is for another story...

Trivia

  • This story was originally planned for RP Chronicles, along with several other stories which was instead used for Topmonhit Story (The Bandit Blundit; The Boo Bloo and Jinjo Crossing: The Novel). When Topmonhit Story began, Pokemon Realgar was chosen for the first non-Team TOT story. Wiggly Jr.: Second Journey would have had the 6th story slot, but because The Bandit Blundit; The Boo Bloo was used for story 4 since Bloo appeared in the previous story, Jinjo Crossing: The Novel was pushed to 6th. 8 was taken by Slubes due to the Slubes' formal reappearance being in story 7, so it seemed Wiggly Jr.: Second Journey would finally appear for story 10. However, because the crossover with The 1576 Kingdom Novel was planned at the end of story 9, a character from that novel, Noshum, was planned to star in story 10. Therefore, Wiggly Jr.: Second Journey finally got to be made for story 12.
  • Part 12-5: General Guy’s May. Wait, What? is a reference to the name of the song used for General Guy's theme, General Guy's March.
  • Part 12-7: They’re Magically Malicious! is a reference to Lucky Charms' motto, "They're Magically Delicious!"
  • The placeholder name for this story in Topmonhit's story list was "The Wiggly Adventure".

Connections to Other Stories

  • The beginning of this story refers to Return of FOEA, which the beginning of this story directly proceeds.
  • This story also refers to The Koopgang Family Story, which had occured one year prior to Chapter 1, in which Cortez mentions how he had lost his skull gem in that story as well.
  • This story includes a way for Bowser, Kammy and Kamek to learn about Morton Sr.'s revival. Mack had them know this in one of his stories; however, this was not his intention of how they learned, but because he no longer makes stories, he is likely to never be able to reveal his original intention.
  • This story also refers to Ultra Stuffwell's defection from the YB to the Metal Army.
  • This story explains how Teen Angst ended up at the Gadd Instillation in Grodus Rising.
