Story

Part 20-1: Nega Emerald

One night at Arami's Mansion, Arami was alone, knitting something out of silk, when she heard a loud crash outside. When she looked through the window to investigate, she saw Dr. Eggman and some robots with him. Arami quickly fleed, and soon after Eggman barged in, followed by Ridley and Razabi. Razabi did a scan, and found the mansion to be abandoned, and Eggman began to explain exactly what they were doing there: Looking for a piece of the Nega Emerald.

Eggman explained that in an alternate dimension there was a nega version of himself, Eggman Nega. There was also a nega version of the Master Emerald, the Nega Emerald, which Eggman Nega told Eggman about. There was a flashback to where Eggman Nega was explaining it to Dr. Eggman in that the Nega Emerald neutralized the Sol Emerald's powers, but increased the power of the Chaos Emeralds. It had shattered, however, and telepoted to Eggman's dimension.

Eggman Nega sent Eggman a program to track the shards, which said one was in Eggman's very base. Just then Scratch and Grounder showed up with the shard! After the two robots began to fight, however, Eggman decided to get outside help to locate the others. With that out of the way, Razabi decided to turn the place to rubble to make the search easier.

Part 20-2: Air Holes is Two Words!?

Outside Whirl's lab, Glerk was sitting, thinking; he had been trying to remember his lost memories recently, but had been unable to. Metal Chaos came out of the lab, and soon after they heard a voice greet them and Pailem appeared. Pailem was a new mailpelican, and delivered two letters, one to Glerk and the other to Whirl. The one for Whirl held Hey You in it, who began to sing his theme song but was interrupted by Glerk.

Glerk then opened the other letter and saw it was addressed to "Prince Glerk". Amazed at this, Glerk read on, and fond the letter was asking for Prince Glerk of the Getcro Kingdom, as apparently he was missing. Glerk had no idea if he was this so-called Prince Glerk, but decided to go find out. Metal Chaos agreed to go as well, and Hey You also wanted to. Pailem couldn't, as he was on the job, and had more letters to deliver.

Elsewhere in Mystic Ruins, at the temple in the center, sat Guerrera, although cloaked so her features weren't visible. While she sat and thought, she heard a voice call out to her and saw Arami. Guerrera backed away when Arami began to come up, though, and seeing her like that reminded Arami of herself a bit. They began to talk some, with Guerrera claiming her name was Karma, and she admitted to being sort of lost there, and Arami said she could help her, then called for Kioles to come out, saying it was safe.

Part 20-3: Get to the Getcro Kingdom

Guerrera, Arami and Kioles heard some rustling in some nearby bushes and Glerk and Metal Chaos came out. After seeing one another, they greeted one another and Glerk told them Whirl was on vacation with Evelyn at an island. Arami introduced them to Guerrera, and Glerk realized Hey You was gone. Hey You popped out of the letter and said Glerk was the prince of some weirdly-named kingdom and he was going to get some free tacos.

rami and Kioles were surprised at this, but Glerk said it was a mistake, or it might be, he didn't know due to his amnesia. Arami suggested they travel with Glerk, and then admitted that Dr. Eggman attacked her mansion about a week ago. She had managed to escape through a tunnel in her cellar, though. With that, they agreed to travel together and headed to the far side of the jungle, going up the mountains until they saw an area similar to a feudal japan temple.

Once they arrived, they knocked on the door and met Crazy Gello, who told them no one got in to see the wizard. Another gecko pushed him aside and apologized, then asked what they were there for. Glerk explained he had gotten the letter, and the doorman quickly opened the door for them. As soon as he did, Hey You dashed into the kingdom, and they knew they'd have to go get him before he broke anything.

Part 20-4: Didn’t Expect That, Did You?

As the group traveled through the Getcro Kingdom, they noticed that the inhabitants were mostly geckos. When they reached the main temple of the kingdom, they found Hey You dancing in front of some guards. The guards refused to let him in, and he said he was friends with their prince. The guards were surprised, but they explained Glerk wasn't sure, as he had amnesia; a guard went to get the king, and King Galzo III came out. Galzo said that his son had a royal birthmark on his left arm that was viewable when he changed to a black color, so Glerk did and there was nothing there.

Galzo immediately declared him an imposter and called for the guards to imprison them. The guards turned invisible, making them impossible to find, and soon they were all knocked out except for Guerrera and Metal Chaos, but without warning a circle of lightning came down and struck them, knocking them out. Not long after, a gecko guard came into a dimly-lit room to let some figures (one named "Dr. Hyneman") know of Glerk coming and being imprisoned, as well as mentioning his companions. The figures revealed to be Dr. Eggman, Ridley and Razabi, and Dr. Eggman explained they will be able to distract the guards with some help from "Dyna", and that tomorrow they would begin phase 2.

Part 20-5: Escape Plan Dyna

Glerk, Metal Chaos, Hey You, Arami, Kioles and Guerrera were in a prison cell guarded by a plaid gecko. Glerk mentioned that several months ago during the last Slike fiasco, the future Slike mentioned something about his family, and he'd been wondering ever since. Just then the gecko guard was knocked down and they saw someone appear: Ridley, but he called himself Dyna. Ridley unlocked their cell and they began to escape, but were spotted by some gecko guards and were attacked.

During the fight, Glerk tried to convince them he wasn't an imposter when the queen, Queen Kinnio, came out, stating she couldn't allow them to leave. They knew from an ally, "Dr. Hyneman" that Glerk was an imposter, and couldn't allow such a travesty to exist. Although Kinnio had powerful magic at her disposal, the battle was cut short when there was an explosion at the temple and a gecko guard came up, yelling about a gem and that Dr. Hyneman had betrayed them. They then realized "Dyna" had disappeared.

Part 20-6: The Spider’s Descent

Inside the temple, various gecko guards were injured as Dr. Eggman, Ridley and Razabi took the final piece of the Nega Emerald, Just then, King Galzo, Queen Kinnio, Glerk, Metal Chaos, Hey You, Arami, Kioles and Guerrera entered, and Glerk recognized Dr. Eggman. Dr. Eggman revealed to Galzo and Kinnio that Dr. Hyneman was an alias in case Glerk and the others recognized it.

Eggman stated the emerald was a part of the Nega Emerald, and Razabi explained what it did. Eggman revealed to have the yellow Chaos Emerald, but while Eggman was speaking Ridley noticed Metal Chaos was trying to take the emerald. Razabi attacked it, and a struggle began for the emerald. During the struggle, during which Eggman, Glerk, Guerrera and Arami had a grip on it, the purple Chaos Emerald fell out of Arami's bottom-right glove. She quickly grabbed it before Eggman could get it, but the Nega Emerald began to glow.

A burst of energy pushed everyone back, and when the bright light dimmed down, Arami was sitting on the Nega Emerald, tossing the two Chaos Emeralds between her hands, her eyes now a dark red. Eggman demanded the emerald, but Arami refused; Razabi tried to attack her, but the emerald hit it with an energy laser. Kioles tried to convince her to stop, but Arami said his words were meaningless and the emerald fired an energy laser at him.

Part 20-7: The Cereal Business Part

After Hey You did a commercial for Dojo-Jo-O's, they returned to the actual part, where Kioles was not harmed at all; Arami was struggling with herself, both trying to use the emerald and trying not to. Just then Ridley tackled her off the emerald, and Eggman was poised to take it for himself but Glerk was about to stop him when a bright light flashed and two figures materialized in the room. Arami came to her sense and, waking up, saw herself! That is, she saw someone who looked just like her only with several small appearance changes that made her seem more evil, as well as Eggman Nega was with her.

Eggman Nega explained they got to the dimension by way of a dimensional transporter uplinked with the Nega Emerald, and explained he had lied about the Nega Emerald. It was in fact an emerald he had built himself to be used by the alternate dimension Arami, named Imara, and it was likely that Arami, being an alternate dimension form of her, had a similar affect with the emerald. Queen Kinnio said she would refuse any of the evildoers the emerald, but Eggman Nega fired a ray gun shot at her; Kinnio dodged it, but Eggman Nega told Imara to get the emerald, and she made a dash for it.

Guerrera tried to stop her, but Imara managed to get behind her and bite her; Imara then revealed her venom was much more potent than Arami's, and worked almost instantly. Guerrera was about to attack them when Mr. Sword spoke up and jumped away from her, though without mustache legs he couldn't move. Hey You picked him up instead, but spent fifty-three words humming a tune, during which Imara got to the emerald and activated it; Razabi threatened Eggman Nega, but Imara blasted it down and prepared to attack the others.

Part 20-8: That’s What You Call An Ending? (Largely-Sized)

While everyone, including Glerk's group and Eggman's group, began to fight against Imara, Hey You was... Hey You. No matter what they did to Imara, however, she countered each attack with a simple wave of her hand. She began to get impatient with them and was about to end it when Arami and Kioles distracted her long enough for Glerk to get the Chaos Emeralds away from her. He then tossed them to Metal Chaos, who used them to create a massive influx of power with the Nega Emerald which caused it to overload and shatter into pieces that disappeared.

Seeing the field test had failed, Eggman Nega returned to his dimension, leaving Imara there to be imprisoned. Eggman realized the whole thing was a waste of time, but Razabi said their payment was not. Eggman told them the fine print stated they would get paid after he conquered the world, and though Ridley said he was going to relieve himself of Eggman anyway, but Razabi wasn't, and it demanded payment. Eggman went to his Egg Walker to "retrieve" it, but instead skedaddled out of there as fast as he could. Later, on a sunset backdrop, Guerrera admitted to her being a dragongirl, but Glerk said she was no more a misfit than they were.

The King and Queen of the Getcro Kingdom apologized, having realized Dr. Eggman was the real imposter, and Kioles realized nearly everyone there had something taken from them. Just then they heard a voice and saw Pailem flying up to them. Surprised, Glerk asked how he got there, and Pailem said the postal system knew the location of everywhere. He was there to deliver a letter to the king and queen, but then Arami noticed something similar about Pailem and the two suddenly realized they had known each other back when they were orphans before Arami ran away. Arami explained to him why she had left, and Pailem explained what had happened to him and Zornt after she had left. With that, they left the Getcro Kingdom.

Glerk and Metal Chaos returned home, Arami remained in the jungle despite Pailem asking her to come live at Station Square with him, Razabi and Ridley disappeared, Imara was sent to a maximum-security military prison, the yellow emerald was kept by Glerk while Arami kept the purple, King Galzo and Queen Kinnio's letter was from their son, Prince Glerk, who was traveling with a dog named Ress, a rabbit named Baully, and an owl named Mr. Owl to save the world from some great evil idiot, and finally, Hey You realized that since Glerk didn't find his family the story was pointless and then teleported away with a strange device.

Trivia

  • Originally, Glerk was supposed to be the missing prince, but from comments on how that would be cliche, it was changed. In addition, the Nega Emerald originally was supposed to be a nega version of the Master Emerald.
  • Although Arami's mansion was destroyed in this story (which was unplanned until Topmonhit realized there was no reason for Razabi not to), it has reappeared in non-canon stories.
  • This is the only story where Glerk and Metal Chaos star instad of Whirl, although it's not the first time they appeared without Whirl (with The Great Creator and The Great Destroyer being the first case of this).
  • This is Ridley's first appearance since Danny's story that had a name I forget.
  • Crazy Gello is a reference to The 1576 Kingdom Novel, where there was a Buzzy Beetle named Crazy Steve.
  • The name Dr. Hyneman came from a drawing PMF made of Dr. Eggman that looked similar enough to Jamie Hyneman for him to mention it. This became a running gag in Topmonhit's Let's Plays of Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3.
  • The name Dyna comes from Ridley being a boss in the Subspace Emissary that some SZMs say was a recolored Dyna Blade (or something to that extent).
  • After this story, the locations of three emeralds were known: yellow with Glerk, purple with Arami, and green with Enni.
  • Dojo-Jo-O's is a reference to the Dojo RP. In addition, Cereal Business is a term used by Fireflower a lot.

Connections to Other Stories

  • This is Hey You's first appearance since Mobius Chaos Episode II, the end of which had him appearing in The Doctor's TARDIS.
  • Glerk mentions that the future Slike mentioned Glerk's family in Mobius Chaos Epsidoe II.
