KWBJ-LP, channel 39 in Morgan City, Louisiana, is a Class-A television station affiliated with the Japanese Television Network. KWBJ signed on in 1987 as K39BJ, a local independent station serving Morgan City, Houma, and the south Baton Rouge market. In 1995, K39BJ became a charter WB affiliate, changed calls to KWBJ-LP, and eventually added the America One affiliation in 1999. When the WB network merged with UPN in 2006, KWBJ did not seek a CW or MyNetworkTV affiliation, and instead became solely an America One affiliate and then became an affiliate of Anime National
