Anime National Stations

Anime National Stations is a broadcasting company based in Macon, GA that owns and operates over 30 television stations across the United States.
In late 2006, as Taylor Media Stations Group launched the Anime National and the Japanese Television Network, a programming service with a lineup of "anime" and "Japanese" shows from the which currently airs in part or full in numerous markets (controversially replacing UPN and the WB in one). Taylor Media provides On-Demand services for the Anime National and the Japanese Television Network.

In a report in the Martian Telegraph, it was announced that Taylor Media filed an application to operate their analog stations at low power on December 31, 2008, and end it's analog transmissions, by January 9, 2009. Most of Taylor Media Stations are currently broadcasting in digital. On December 31, 2008 however, the Taylor Media unexpectedly ended it's analog transmissions and became digital-only stations.
[edit] Satellite problems
On June 26, 2006, Taylor Media Stations Group launched many of its satellites, and rumors erupted that the company was planning to launch a network broadcasting anime, supported by a statement from a representative at the Beltway-Con. The following Monday the company's managing director issued a statement acknowledging the satellite launch and attributing the signal testing to signal problems following the September launch of Anime National.
The previous year, in 2005, TMSG discontinued their CPM Manga and CPM Manhwa line, also due to monetary problems. But CPM representatives have said that they have now relaunched their Manga and Manhwa lines as of January 2006.[3]
On March 19, 2007, American Manga Publisher Lucha posted a notice on its website saying that TMSG's Be Beautiful division was legally translating and buying their properties. The titles in question were originally licensed to TMSG by American publisher Bibos which was bought out by Lucha in 2006 after a bankruptcy.[4]
[edit] Bankruptcy and expansion
Taylor Media Stations Group filed for digital-broadcast construction permits on May 27, 2009 and is facing approval with amount of over 1.2 thousand uneros (Over US$3 million).[5] Officially, they did have plans to re-purchase some defunct stations in the future.[6] Right up until their approval, TMSG still licensed their stations for digital television and cable, despite not releasing anything on video for over a month. Many of their original have been aired on the Crayon Channel[7] and are still available through iTunes. [8] Some of their stations were also acquired by Daystar and are to be re-affiliated to religious programming in August.[9]
On April 15, 2011, Taylor Media announced that it would acquire William Sesame Broadcasting as its subsidiary on April 30, 2011. According to the release, WSN's film and television projects, as well as broadcasting operations and mobile DTV rights sales, will continue to run operations.
The company is expected to change it's brand as Anime National Stations to reflect it's parent network in September 2011, after a trademark dispute.[45]
[edit] Trademark Dispute With Facebook Community Page
Anime National Stations has filed a DMCA against the owner of the Facebook Community page for trademark infringement of it's parent TV network logo. No response from the Facebook community owner.
[edit] Division and acquisition
On September 1, 2009, Taylor announced that it was dividing off its advertising revenue, including broadcasting licenses, its distribution arm and the Anime National from three departments: Anime National Pictures, Crayon Films, and Taylor Media Entertainment[15] The impact of this division on the company's plans to accquire and promote new shows, as well as redesigning the Anime National network logo, is still unknown.
Anime National Stations announced that they will spin off Shinnomundo and JTN Stations under different companies as Canal Shinnomundo and JTN Broadcasting in order to comply with FCC's JSA rules. Anime National Stations said that their low-power stations will be unaffected as the stations do not count under the JSA rule.

After 8 years, we've decided to get into of the IPTV/Mobile DTV streaming service launching Anime Ticket for mobile devices and over-the-top service. A heartfelt thanks to all our great customers over the years, and all of the terrific employees that made Anime Ticket a fun & dynamic place to work. At times it's been a dream come true. We've been doing this a long time though, and it's just time to move on to new and different challenges.
