The 2KW World Championship is a backyard wrestling primary championship in 2KW. It is the highest ranked title in all of the federation and has been around since the initiation period. As it is called a "world" title, it only applies within the world in which is 2KW and is not an actual international championship.

History

In 2001, the GWA Hardcore World Championship was created as an anti-championship against the GWA World Championship, for some within felt their talent was further prominent than that particular title. Saylo became the first champion after defeating JSA. After SyNN had achieved the title, it was renamed the 2KW World Championship, "world" for representing the world of the 2KW federation. Throughout the years, the title has been won by talent from varoius other federations and was also contested at gym shows. In 2009, the NEW Heavyweight Championship was unified into the 2KW Title and Angel Ortiz became the inaugural 2KW United World Champion.
