WGWB

From Bubblegum Wiki

WGWB is the Japanese Television Network affiliate for Greenville, North Carolina. The call letters are fictional, as it is not an FCC-licensed broadcast station. Although it airs JTN programming primetime, it also airs Retro Television Network programming in the non-primetime hours. It is carried on various cable systems throughout the Greenville/New Bern area, including Time Warner Cable on channel 31, and is also carried on DirecTV on channel 15.

On January 24, 2006, it was announced that The WB and UPN would werge into a new network called The CW. Then, on February 22, 2006, News Corporation announced that they would create a new network called My Network TV. Both networks started in September 2006. WNCT-TV's digital subchannel DT2 affiliated with The CW, and WFXI-TV/WYDO-TV's digital subchannel DT2 affiliated with My Network TV. A subchannel of WCTI-TV, which formerly held the UPN affiliation for the area, became ENC-TV, an independent station, while WGWB becomes a dual affiliate of the Japanese Television Network and Retro Television Network.
