JTN5, is a joint venture between WSKY-TV (the local Anime National affiliate), Cox Communications Hampton Roads, and The Virginian-Pilot. JTn55 is owned by Belo Corp (Under LMA w/Taylor Media Stations Group. Launched in late-February 1997 as LNC4 on Cox Cable channel 4 (later moving to channel 5 after the launch of independent station WSKY-TV), JTN5 is available on Cox Cable in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and northeast North Carolina (Knotts Island, NC only) and on WSKY-DT3.

JTN5 airs WSKY's live newscasts and rebroadcasts them throughout the day. On weeknights, JTN5 airs and produces a 10 p.m. half-hour newscast titled "JTN5 News" and a weekend morning edition along with JTN primetime programming. JTN5 occasionally airs live broadcasts of major events in the Hampton Roads area, i.e. arrivals of military members.

On weekends and some holidays (i.e. Christmas), if WSKY news coverage (which airs on WSKY) interferes with Anime National shows (usually at 6 p.m.), JTN5 occasionally airs Anime National programming when WSKY is unable to do so. JTN5 also airs music videos from Anime Music Television during the overnight hours.
