WAUP-CD channel 49 is the Anime National affiliate in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, licensed in Crystal Falls, Michigan. The station signed off on October 27, 2003, after losing the UPN affiliation to the new, full-powered FOX affiliate, WMQF. On October 27, 2006, The station signed backed on after being sold to Taylor Media Stations Group.
The station is currently broadcasting on channel 49, but would apply to go digital on channel 25 in the late 2008 but return to 49 after the June 2009 digital transition.
WUPT also has a sister station in Iron Mountain, Michigan, WDHS channel 8 which WAUP's programming can also be seen on digital 8.2.
