The Crayon Channel is a subsidiary of ON-ANIME, a leading anime subscription Pay-TV provider in the United States. The channel replaced Cartoon Network on October 1, 2008. Taylor Media, the owner of The Crayon Channel, has announced that it will be launching its HD version by the end of October and will provide Crayon Channel programs in Hi-Def Format. The channel is also available through Mobile DTV.

The company is owned by Taylor Media Stations Group, Taylor Media Entertainment, and Crayon Films and is available on Taylor Media Cable and TaylorCOM Satellite.

The Crayon Channel is a dedicated high-definition television channel available only on Taylor Media Cable in the USA. However, the channel is currently in negotiations with satellite providers to potentially offer The Crayon Channel on their high definition programming lineup.

The network broadcasts all content in high definition 1080i format and 5.1 audio.

The Crayon Channel is a 24-hour pay TV network, and is not pay-per-view. It is available to Taylor Media Cable and TaylorCOM satellite subscribers with HD service in every major cable system across the U.S., usually at no additional charge other than the cost of the HD cable tuner. The channel features original programming, movies and sports programming. The Crayon Channel is geared to the lifestyle interests of affluent males and also features a website Crayon Jetstream (formally Toonami Jetstream) with numerous build-outs that connect with its fan-base including the Shin Chan widget, streaming episodes, store, interactive forums and program schedule. Crayon Channel programming can found on other digital programs such as Anime Unplugged and others.

Time Warner ceased operation of Cartoon Network, which was a companion network to Adult Swim, on October 1, 2008. Williams Street announced it will be moving it's operations to Sesame Workshop by the end of October, thus ending the Adult Swim block. The Adult Swim website along with AS Video, and AS Boards will be renamed as Turner Kids, Turner Kids Video, Turner Kids Forum. The website will be operated by Williams Street and sponsored by Sesame Workshop.

The Crayon Channel airs original programming series such as Three's Company, You Bet Your Lifesavers, Captain Cook, Ronin Warriors, Bobby's World, Code Monkeys, Dr. Slump, The King of Queens. Other shows include Anime Night Live and Clueless. And cartoon programming include Code Lyoko, Super Chicken, Maruko Chan, Mario Bros: The New Series, Fullmetal Panic, Home Alone: The Animated Series, Perfect Dark: The TV, Bubblegum Crisis 2041, Space Ace (Anime version), plus Shin Chan at the Movies which complicates six original Shin Chan movies,

The Crayon Channel airs select FUNimation programming in HD, as many cable/satellite providers do not yet carry FUNimation HD, though anime shows are blacked out on systems which do not carry The FUNimation Channel or the network airs anime programming in a domestic market area, where the broadcaster in that area receives preference over MOJO HD.

The channel acquired the off-network rights for Digimon Heroes in high definition starting in November 2008.
