Animovie

Animovie, a subsidiary of Taylor Media Stations Group. (parent company of Anime Tube and JTN) is the first cable channel in North America dedicated to anime movies. The network launched in North America in late 2006 and is being marketed to multi-system operators (MSOs) from coast-to-coast as both a stand-alone 24-hour premium Pay-TV network and as a HDTV programming service. Many cable companies and TV stations from coast to coast have started to incorporate the network into their channel line-ups.

Taylorcom added Animovie on channel 88 on January 1, 2006 as part of a test channel. Zooropa added Animovie to their Digital Television service January 5, 2006.

[edit] Video On Demand

From June 30 2004 to January 4, 2008, Taylor Media offered a video-on-demand channel available to cable and satellite providers. The channel launched on Taylor Media Cable but was later dropped in favor of the premium Pay-TV service. The service was only carried by it satelite service Taylorcom. On January 4, 2008, Taylor Media officially announced that the VOD service would cease operations. The network will still operate as a premium Pay-TV service and a digital subchannel.[1]
