Story

The First Wave

The story started at Yoshi Bodyguard headquarters, where Sneezier was warned that a temporal distortion had occurred similar to that of the one that had appeared when he went back in time. Fearing the worst, Sneezier warned the SWDF and mobilized the clone Army. A fleet under the command of King Plasmoc emerged, stating he would take over this time period and destroy Snezier.

Sub attempted to activate the Ion Cannon Defense Network while Sneezier took a group to fight the Plasmoc forces who landed on the ground. The SWDF deployed their experimental ZONE Troopers to support them. Sneezier managed to fight off the Plasmoc and their advanced technology, and pushed into space. He used his ship, Starcruiser Prime, to lead an assault on their flagship. With a combined effort of Sneezier's fleet, the Yoshi Bodyguard forces, and the SWDF Ion Cannons, the Plasmoc fleet began to break off.

Demons of Time

King Plasmoc attempted to retreat through a time portal, but the rift destabilized and unleashed a torment of extradimensional demons. These demons began to posess the Plasmoc soldiers still on the ground, making them nearly impossible to kill. The SWDF and Plasmoc forces attempted a short alliance to beat back the demons, but King Plasmoc opened up another time portal and retreated.

Sneezier and his forces moved into the destabilized portal in an attempt to close it, only to be attacked by the arch-demon Aerono. The Yoshi Bodyguards fought off the demon while Sneezier used Professor Elvin Gadd's time machine to close the portal. The Yoshi Bodyguards were successful and destroyed the portal, but E. Gadd's Time machine was destroyed in the process.

Star World celebrated another successful defense, as Sneezier reflected on the last piece of time travel technology being destroyed, thus stranding him in this time period. However, he decided it was for the better, as the Plasmocs had shown how it could be abused. Meanwhile, in the past, King Plasmoc landed on a jungle world, trying to rebuild his fleet through the ship's mobile factories. However, his army is ambushed by a local tribe, and with so few forces left they are quickly overrun. King Plasmoc tries to escape, but is killed by a figure revealing himself to be Skylar Luyez, future ruler of the Starlite Empire.

Trivia

  • The story itself was never finished due to a period of inactivity, ending when King Plasmoc retreated and the demons first appeared. Because of this, Sub wrote everything that occurred after that point.
  • Aerono is a mixture of the words "Aere," Latin for bronze, and "Chrono," Greek for time. His name is a reference to the Bronze Dragonflight of the Warcraft series.
  • ZONE Troopers are a reference to heavy assault troopers of the same name from the Command and Conquer series.
  • The destruction of Egadd's time machine never occurred in the original story, but was written by Sub to attempt to limit the amount of time travel that occurred in the timeline.

Connections to Other Stories

  • This story was the first and only story connected to Sneezier's backstory, where King Plasmoc conquest caused a dystopian branch of the timeline.
  • This story was the first to include the idea that demons were actually extradimensional creatures who were put into the YB reality through spatial and time rifts. This would become more prevalent in later stories, such as The Malidictum and Legacy of Infamy.
  • At several points in the old Yoshi Bodyguards Sneezier references a "foe" from his future who taunted him with his inevitable return. This would end up being King Plasmoc.
  • The final scene was a reference the Axis Wars of the Yoshi Military, and explained that the Starlite Empire was able to obtain such a large technological advantage from the defeated Plasmoc forces.
