Personality

Lady will probably be labelled as a femmenazi at their worst. Well, that is, if they managed to tap into such a personality. Sometimes, the most a man gets from approaching her would be a gun to their head. Other times, she might consider helping them. Might. Hard to earn her trust, hard to get her to speak. Not unless one has a worthy proposition, is worth listening to, or is drawn by fate (or coincidence) to her.

She can be extremely nice, or ruthlessly cruel. Usually a no-nonsense girl who goes straight to the point on the job, there are times where she's rather amiable, down-to-earth, and just someone easy to talk to. She even occasionally gets the cute label with how feisty and sassy she is.

Only if someone manages to get to that side, which is already a task of its own. Otherwise, she's as bitchy as bitchy gets. Sarcasm, cynicism, occasional swearing, and of course, the violence. Always the violence.

However, she does come with a pack of weaknesses. Those include being too trusting (that is, when it does come round) and rather gullible to those she trusts. This leads her to be easily used by those who know how, which leads to them having the most loyal ally they can get.

However, Lady is like a double-edged knife: her sense of justice is overpowering, and if she finds out someone has betrayed her, be they her own flesh and blood, she will hunt them down. Unless they trick her into believing them again. Which isn't too hard for the brightest kid on the block.

An intelligent and independent woman who definitely has been forced to live older than she is, there's one thing in common with all her personalities no matter how extreme: she's driven, determined and stubborn as hell. And very professional.

Powers and Abilities

Lady is human, and therefore one can say that she should be not very special, however, years of training and her determination has given her an incredibly talented body; extremely flexible, quick reflexes, and a keen marksman eye, she also packs a punch [and kick]. She's also filled with a lot of knowledge, having a father who is a librarian, and also a skill to modify/build guns and other forms of mechanics.

History

Originally named Mary by her father, Arkham, whose eyes she received genetically (one hazel-green, the other a lilac-red), she lived a quiet and religious life, always with a smile on her face, and was brought up well by her mother, Kalina Ann. A happy girl and caring girl, she enjoyed outdoor activities and acrobatics. Her father was a librarian specialising the demonology, and unknown to her, Mary had blood which flowed in her body belonging to that of a mortal priestess.

Her happiness was cut short when her mother was found brutally murdered by her father, all for the sake of a demon door. Due to Mary running in, the procedure was interrupted, and Arkham fled. However, that did not change the fact that Kalina Ann's life was lost in the process.

Betrayed, traumatised and alone, Mary became rather bitter, ruthless and hungry for revenge, Mary abandoned her name, becoming nameless, withdrawn from society, focusing only on her training as well as searching for her father's whereabouts, so so she can kill him herself. She started training herself in the use of the gun, and improving her skills in acrobatics and martial arts, having all the time needed now that she has walked out of society. She also swore to kill every demon walking on the face of the earth.

Sixteen and hungry for revenge and justice, the nameless girl went in search of her father, only to meet Dante, a half demon who never seemed to die even if she shot him in the head, of whom she refused to tell him her name. From this day on, Dante gave her the nickname of "Lady", mainly because he kept calling her that since she had no name. With Dante, not only did she find her father, but a plot where Arkham was trying to open the demon door locked to keep the human world safe, of which needed Lady's blood. However, this was prevented and sweet revenge was claimed while Arkham tried to coerce Lady into sparing his life by attempting to justify his actions, in which Lady responded "Mary died a long time ago, my name is Lady. Good bye, father." and shot him down. Tears fell after she killed him, sad for the ending, but she had no regrets.

Her goal in life fulfilled, the event left Lady with only the goal to destroy every demon alive again. Only this time, she knows the difference between a demon with a heart and human with none.

Manhattan Verse

Pulled from her original world 2 years after the end of Temen-Ni-Gru [DMC3], where it was speculated that she was only of the age of 16, a recently turned 18 year old was thrown into the world of Manhattan on December 2nd, 1951, pulled into the past, landing on top of one Yuu Kanda, who unlike her, was instead pulled from the past. Already similar personalities clashed, however, if it wasn't for him, a worn flag he found, and huddling together, she could be dead from near exhaustion and passing out in the cold; this weakness was also due to the fact she was pulled mid-battle.

Her initial stay in Manhattan could be somewhat turbulent; her relationships with other people were on a mutual level since they were all thrown into the same situation, however, one person made it almost impossible for her to be comfortable: Kanda. With a life debt to him [much to her chagrin], his torment of her throws her into a sorrowful state she rather not be in, and with that, she approached him forcefully in return. Both found compromise that their anger stems from the fact they were attracted to each other, and started to spend more time with each other, including that of intimate relations.

Of course, it seemed that her world wasn't quite ready to see the last of her. Dante, half-demon of who she can't [but would like to, just for fun] kill, one person who managed to open her eyes from her idealistic ways [though she'll never admit that to his face], and also who owes her a hell of a lot of money, ended up thrown into the world too. In a way, Dante's presence brings Lady out, also since she needs to protect half the community from his ways. But also, he provides her with a sense of familiarity; it was good to have someone from her world there.

However, unlike a lot of people there, Lady concluded that Manhattan was more of a vacation rather than a traumatic experience; with her world being just as chaotic, the dictatorship of Manhattan in a way keeps the area peaceful. Also, the forced communal housing units make it so that she HAS to communicate with people, resulting in a further mellowing of her almost-ruthless personality. Because of this, the Mary side of Lady has been coming out a lot more often, and the girl who proves true of her namesake has taken in Alphonse Elric [which in turn includes his brother, Edward Elric who is fast growing on her], Rinali Li, Orihime Inoue and a few others to be her "family".

But life still has it's vices. Manhattan is still weak to zombie invasions, and with that, their firest invasion, while it was weak, has proven that their powers are also terrible. Exhaustion hit many, and the darker side of personalities were revealing themselves. Also, the issue with all the water reserves being contaminated has lead to unusual behaviour, including making people a lot more open to having intimate relations. Fortunately for Lady, this did not affect her relationship with Kanda, but it did take a step further much more earlier than they anticipated, in which they were able to stay with each other and raid a few rooms. And while it did not affect her, the Flux Gate decided to have a ball and take all their powers. And then recently, the worst zombie invasion to hit has almost had her killed along with Kanda, Dante, Rinali, Orihime, Reno and Tatsuki Arisawa when they fought one of the advanced zombies, Charon. This event also awakened an emotion Lady thought was long gone: fear of loss, where Kanda took all her blows, and was in a deeper coma than her. The fear still affected her after he woke, which lead to her wondering whether she was a big risk for him, the matyr side of her personality kicking in for the one she loves most.

But twists of fate still don't end, with the arrival of Nero. While he knows Dante, and neither knows him, it was concluded that he could be around 11 years into their future back home. While looking just like Dante, and also having as bad a personality, Lady has nicknamed him her fake-nephew, and her his "Worst Aunt in the World". But before they even grew on each other, one of the last people Lady would want to see showed up: Vergil, Dante's twin. His words of her father, Arkham, following him had Lady lose almost all common sense, and she was near losing not only her close friends, but also Kanda because of her unreasonable behaviour. Fortunately, fake-nephew stood by her side and punched her back to her senses with his sudden burst of ungodly patience. Which lands her into her second life debt so far [or third if you count Kanda saving her arse again from Charon as another life debt].

Relationships

Yuu Kanda: An Exorcist. She landed on him during the warp, and had a moment of huddling due to the cold despite the fact they were showing a lot of spite towards each other. A twist of fate through them into the same apartment, where they continued to bicker, much to Lady's annoyance because her life is indebted to him, and she would like for them to try to play nice, even though all he gives her back is mockery, even after finding out her past. She found out his vice against her was because he has feelings for her and vice versa. By the end of the day, after yet more discussion, they decided to spend their time together [December 10th]. However, their stiff, hard personalities make it rather awkward, and possibly confused people. However, their relationship have grown very strong, where with love comes mutual understanding due to their similar personalities. She's hell bent on finding a way for him to get home...and going with him.

Dante: aksdjalkdjakljdk she's going to make sure he pays her debt here too. He's intent on stressing her out. Still, it's good to see a familiar face here. Almost like the brother you can't get rid of. Since he's dating Orihime, she's going to make sure the girl stays safe, despite assuring everyone that Dante is fine.

Rinali Li: An Exorcist. Since Lady never really had any female friends, Rinali is like family to her. Though sometimes she thinks the girl is too soft. And since she grew up with Kanda, it's how Lady knows what to expect.

Nero: Aka Fake Nephew. For some reason, he knows Dante despite them not knowing him, and they all came from the same world. However, even though he's just like Dante and is a pain in the arse, Lady knows he's a good guy, especially during the time only he was the one who stood by her to pull her out of her emo-puddle.

Vergil: Dante's twin. WHY is he here? Once collaborated with her father to open some demon doors locked by Sparda. Almost scared the shit of her because he lied that her father followed him here. And Lady's paranoid and gullible.

Alphonse Elric: Sworn brother, an alchemist. He used to be her student, until she offered to ask the school to give him some tests to allow him to graduate.

Edward Elric: Reluctant sworn brother due to link with Alphonse, but as rash and rude as he is, he grew on her. Not to mention, teasing him is fun.

Reno: Flirt. Trying to ask her out for a drink. Not letting him.

River Tam: Roommate. Just crazy. But still, in a bizarre way. she's rather likable? Maybe?

Tatsuki Arisawa: Unlike Lady whose "No" really means "No", Tatsuki has caved in to Reno. Need to save her.

Orihime Inoue: Neighbour, she helped Lady get over herself temporarily, which lead to Lady actually confronting her problems head on instead of thinking too much. She's also dating Dante, and so Lady has to look at for her in case the idiot does something.

Daisya Barry: An Exorcist, who happened to be Kanda's teammate. She looks out for him because his niceness throws him into unwanted situations, and she's actually growing used to his pranks and energy. However, with his body currently possessed by Yami no Bakura, she is not. very. happy.

Kai: Dead roommate, really. He's strange, his robot head is strange, and thank god he moved out of the fridge. Has unknowingly molested both Kanda and her while he couldn't be animated.

Deadpool: One of her many banes of existence. He butts in in all the wrong moments.
