WSSS-LP is a low-power television station in Steubenville, Ohio, broadcasting locally on channel 25 as an affiliate of the Retro Jams and the Worship Network. The station is owned by Benjamin Perez and licensed to Taylor Media Stations Group.
The station began transmission as a low-power class station in May 1998 on channel 25 as The Box, an automated music video channel. Like most over-the-air station airing The Box WSSS-LP became an affiliate of MTV2 after The Box was acquired by Viacom in 2001. WSSS-LP became an affiliate of ABC when Taylor Media bought the station from Abascus Television. On July 26, 2008, Taylor Media dropped the ABC affiliate in favor of the Retro Television Network but then changed to Retro Jams and the Worship Network.
Due to nearby KDKA-TV commencing digital broadcasts on channel 25 WSSS-LP was temporarily forced off the air. The station returned to the air in July 2001 on channel 29 as a Class-A station. Taylor Media announced that they will apply to flash-cut to digital carrying the Anime Tube affiliate WBYD-CA and The CW Plus affiliate WBWO. However, It was replaced with Equity's Retro Jams and then The Baptist Channel. Taylor Media has announced that it will be adding Weigel Broadcasting's This TV on it's main channel. On January 4, Taylor Media replaced Retro Jams with Anime Music Television.
