WCTI-TV Channel 12 is an ABC affiliate serving the Greenville/Washington/New Bern, North Carolina television market. The station signed on as WNBE-TV in September 1963, after a lengthy battle with the FCC over channel allocation and the location of their transmitter tower.
In 1980, WCTI erected a 2,000 foot tower located near Trenton, North Carolina to allow greater coverage throughout Eastern North Carolina, including the Outer Banks.
