"What caused the Metal Wars? Many point the blame on the traitor mech, Ultra Stuffwell. Others point their fingers on the creator, Mexous Sniffen. Still others blame the cruel tragedy behind the notorious Metal Lord. However, they are all wrong. We caused this war.

From the first time a being picked up a stone to better kill it’s prey, we as sentient beings have created more and more efficient ways to exert our violent whims. Soon, we developed blades, then the gun. These developments allowed us to exert less effort, forming the world to do tasks for us. We damned ourselves as soon as we created machines to fight our wars for us. We made them better, stronger, smarter than we could ever be. We expected them to die for their creators, thinking that we had some divine right that put us over our creations. Then we reeled in fear when they asked a simple question: Why?

Indeed, why should they, designed to be better than us, be forced into slavery? What gives any being with knowledge of his existence that limitation? Who gave us the right? The Metal Wars was a fight for their freedom, when one mech finally stood up and said, “enough.” Like many revolutions, corruption took hold. Vengeance and personal interest created a monster, one that mirrored the very evil they fought against. When these whims rotted the crusade to it’s core, it finally fell in on itself, the ease of a single push toppling Mekkai’s great towers.

Though the Metal Wars was a victory, it ultimately delayed something long inevitable. We have not learned. As we continue developing newer and newer technologies in the name of “progress,” tasks that have defined entire races are now being reduced to automated lines and mass production. As the years go on, and progress is brought to a fevered pitch, we will eventually lose purpose all together.

And, like all things without purpose, that will be the day we truly fade into oblivion."

-An exert from the Memoir of Subsourian the Dark

The Metal Wars is a very well known conflict that came after COUE's defeat at Ryshi. It lasted over a few years but it is very destructive and bloody due to the Metal Army's hell bent of universal extermination of organic life. It was orginally a beacon for robot's sentience and independence but greed, hate, and corrpution decayed the Metal Army's goal into a universal extermination program.

Early Months

Before the war started, Metal Sneezier sent out scouting forces to find territories, especially locations full of valuable resources to build machines such as Denzium. Ten teams were sent out to many worlds at multiple directions. One of them is in the Lylat System, while another found a hidden Space Pirate mining world, some dicovered strategic locations. the others found nothing. No one know why a Metal Army force was at the Lylat System but it acted hostile to a Cornerian Scouting team. The scouting force at the hidden Space Pirate mining world has better luck, gassing the endless mining facility while wiping out the Space Pirates on the surface. In a few weeks, they gained resource worlds to help build more machines. Later on, the Metal Army spread propaganda to certain mechanical worlds such as Indus to spark robot revolutions and gain them to build more war machines, preparing for an upcoming conflict with new robot models such as the Gouf Rangers, Dom Brutes, Gyan Knights, and Gelgoog Elites.

Their first public appearance is at the battle of Fichina, where Metal Sneezier wanted to capture the Metal Titan to gain the upper hand in war. They failed due to the YB, Orks, and especially Necrons getting in way of their victory. Ergo, they declare war on every living being in a form of a universal extermination program.

The Mid Rim Campaign

The Mid Rim Campaign is the deadliest point of the conflict. Every faction took arms to face this new threat but most minor factions are no match for the Metal Army's unorthadox tactics and their massive leigons. Many worlds fell to this unstoppable juggernaut, usually strategically useful ones or ones with full of resources to build more machines. Most of them are were roboticized into grim industrial factory fortresses or mechanical mines leeching out rocks and minerals until they are sucked dry into hollow husks. Most populated worlds are either destroyed for sent to concentrated camps to be killed or roboticized into mechanical slaves. Ultra Stuffwell, a former YB member who's promoted from a general to Hi-Lord, planned multiple points of the offensive. Using superweapons, uber units, dropping captured space colonies at heavily armed fortresses, and roboticizing Galactic Federation's populated worlds, they ruthlessly marched near into Inner Rim territory. It seems the Metal Army has the victory in their grasp, if not for a ragtag resistance force in the cold city world named Sovtaina.

Trivia

  • The Metal Wars is based on the concept of "Man vs. Machine". An assop about the overdependance of technology can cause destruction.
