[edit] Background

Clash of Champions is a recurring pay-per-view (PPV) event established by WIW in 2016. Like its predecessor Night of Champions, the concept of the show is that every WIW championship across the Rage and ShowDown brand divisions are defended—Rage's WIW World Championship, ShowDown's Heavyweight Championship, the Rage World Women's Championship, the ShowDown Heavyweight Women's Championship, Rage's United Nation Championship, ShowDown's Intercontinental Championship, the Rage World Tag Team Championship, the ShowDown Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, the Women's Tag Team Championship, and the Heavymetal 24/7 Championship. The 2019 event had also featured the Dynamite Live brand and its Dynamite Division Championship, but that brand and title were merged under the NGW umbrella in late 2019.
