The WIW (Heavyweight) Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling world tag team championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion World Incorporated Wrestling on the ShowDown brand. It is a counterpart title to the WIW World Tag Team Championship on Rage.

Following the reintroduction of the WIW brand extension and subsequent draft on July 22, 2016, WIW Tag Team Champions The Doomsday were drafted to Rage and the titles were renamed the WIW World Tag Team Championship, leaving ShowDown without a tag team championship. Over the course of the following month, ShowDown general manager Turf Finnegan stated that he wanted to build up the tag team division before introducing a championship. Immediately following SummerBash on the August 26, 2016 episode of ShowDown, Turf Finnegan and ShowDown commissioner Dixie Finnegan decided to create a SmackDown exclusive world tag team championship, which was unveiled with a new design similar to the WIW Tag Team Championship on Rage. The Finnegan's then announced a tournament, which will culminate in a tag team match at Aftershock to determine the inaugural champions.
