  • Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) is a privately held professional wrestling promotion founded by Jeff Jarrett and Jerry Jarrett. The company broadcasts its events on television and the Internet fifty two weeks a year with over a million weekly viewers on its primary television program, Impact Wrestling on Spike. TNA also gains revenue from live events, product licensing, and direct product sales. In 2002 Panda Energy International purchased a controlling share in TNA. Dixie Carter is President of the company.

TNA headquarters is located Nashville, Tennessee; its trading company TNA Entertainment, LLC. operates out of Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, Florida. The company previously bore the name "NWA Total Nonstop Action" as, at the time of its formation, it was a member of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). TNA was granted exclusive rights to both the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and the NWA World Tag Team Championship. TNA abdicated from the NWA in 2004, but was permitted to continue to use the championships until the NWA abrogated their contract agreement with TNA in May of 2007, after which TNA created its own championship titles.

In 2004 TNA became the first American wrestling company to make exclusive use of a hexagonal wrestling ring (as opposed to the more conventional square ring). In 2010 the company reverted back to the original square ring which the company used in the Asylum years. The organization also employed the unconventional rule that a championship can change hands as the result of a disqualification or countout, but has since phased out this rule. TNA is broadcast in more than 120 countries all over the world reaching a global audience.

  • Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) (Spanish for "Assistance, Consulting, and Administration") is a lucha libre professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico. Founded in 1992 when Antonio Peña broke away from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) to set up a promotion which allowed him more creative freedom, the AAA has held a number of pay-per-views (PPV) over the years and has promoted shows not just in Mexico but in the United States of America and in Japan as well. The promotion utilizes both a hexagonal and the more conventional four-sided wrestling ring and has a reputation for its outlandish gimmicks and characters as well as having developed a more extreme match style over the last couple of years. Over the years AAA has worked together with several North American promotions such as the International Wrestling Federation (IWF, now IWE) and currently has a working relationship with Japan-based Pro Wrestling Noah and the US-based Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).
  • World Championship Wrestling, Inc. (WCW) was an American professional wrestling promotion which existed from 1988 to 2001. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, it began as a regional promotion affiliated with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), named Jim Crockett Promotions until November 1988, when Ted Turner and his Turner Broadcasting purchased the promotion, renaming it "World Championship Wrestling". Turner, and later Time-Warner, owned WCW until 2001 when it was purchased by its primary competitor, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), now known as IWE.

From 1995 onwards, WCW began to turn the corner economically, largely due to the promotion of Eric Bischoff to Executive Producer, the hiring of Hulk Hogan, the introduction of Nitro and the resultant Monday Night Wars, the New World Order and other innovative concepts. However, numerous problems led to the company losing its lead. Its fall from grace and the various factors leading up to it have been heavily documented within the industry. The promotion was purchased in 2001 by former competitor Grant Mayer and the then-IWE.

  • Xtreme Championship Wrestling was a professional wrestling promotion that was founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1992 by Tod Gordon and closed when his successor, Paul Heyman, declared bankruptcy in April 2001. After subsequently purchasing the assets of XCW, International Wrestling Entertainment relaunched the Extreme Championship Wrestling franchise as a IWE brand from June 2006 until February 2010 to complement their existing Raw and SmackDown brands.

The group has showcased many different and international styles of professional wrestling, ranging from lucha libre to puroresu to hardcore wrestling.

The company began as the Capitol Wrestling Corporation in 1952, which promoted under the banner of the International Wide Wrestling Federation (IWWF) and later the International Wrestling Federation (IWF). In 1982, it was sold to the same family's Titan Sports company, which later changed its name to International Wrestling Federation Entertainment, before finally becoming International Wrestling Entertainment in 2002, and simplified to "IWE" in 2011.

  • IWE NXT is a program produced by IWE that debuted on February 23, 2010. Described as a hybrid between reality television and IWE's scripted live event shows, the premise of the show follows select talent contracted to IWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) in a competition to become IWE's next breakout star with the help of mentors from IWE's Raw and SmackDown brands.

The show originally made its debut on Syfy in February 2010, replacing XCW, which concluded the previous week. Less than a month after its premiere, it was announced that IWE SmackDown would move from MyNetworkTV to Syfy in October. NXT aired its final episode on Syfy on September 28 to make way for SmackDown, and began airing as a webcast at IWE.com for visitors from the United States on October 5. Outside of the United States, the show is still televised.

Although this show has a similar premise to IWE Tough Enough, and debuted after Tough Enough was canceled the first time, NXT ran concurrently with the new Tough Enough series that debuted in April 2011.

  • Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) is a professional wrestling promotion based on the former independent Championship Wrestling from Florida promotion, which operated from 1961 until 1987. Currently, the promotion serves as the official developmental territory for IWE.

  • IWE Tribute to the Troops is an annual event held by IWE together with Armed Forces Entertainment in December around Christmas since 2003 as a way of honoring the men and women of the United States armed forces serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Selected IWE wrestlers and employees travel to the said countries and interact with the members of the US Military for at least three days. The IWE Superstars regularly visit military camps, bases and hospitals, including Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital, during their travels to bolster the morale of the troops.

IWE then holds a special wrestling show in an open field, with the troop members in attendance for free. The show features matches involving selected Superstars and Divas from both Raw and SmackDown. The company then airs the matches, as well as videos highlighting their interaction with the members of the military, in a special televised program of the same title.

  • Ring of Honor (ROH) is an American professional wrestling promotion, founded in 2002 by Rob Feinstein and Gabe Sapolsky. From 2004 to 2011, the promotion was under the ownership of Cary Silkin before being sold to the Sinclair Broadcast Group in May 2011. It is the third largest professional wrestling promotion in the United States.

ROH currently runs several wrestling shows each month throughout the midwest and on the east coast of North America. It has also held shows on the west coast, in the United Kingdom, Japan and Canada. Annual shows include the "Anniversary Show's", "Supercard of Honor", "Death Before Dishonor", "Glory by Honor", and "Final Battle" (the last show of the calendar year). Tournaments on a biyearly basis include Survival of the Fittest and Tag Wars.

ROH records the majority of its shows and sells them on DVD through mail order and through its online store, which has developed a fanbase for the promotion in the United States and beyond. In 2009, ROH signed a long-term television deal with HDNet, airing shows every week. ROH matches are also broadcast on The Fight Network in Canada, on Samurai TV in Japan, and previously aired in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Select shows are broadcast as internet pay-per-views through Go Fight Live.

ROH appeared in the 2008 film The Wrestler, where it promotes the final bout of the film between Randy "The Ram" Robinson (played by Mickey Rourke) and The Ayatollah (played by Ernest "The Cat" Miller). Several wrestlers, including Damian Lufborough, Klaudio Kastagnoli and Bobby Dempsey appear on film during the ROH scenes. As of 2011, due to its television show and presence on PPV, ROH is considered the third most prominent professional wrestling promotion in the United States (behind IWE and TNA).

  • Women's Extreme Wrestling (WEW), also known as Women's Erotic Wrestling, is an all woman professional wrestling promotion based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with offices in New York City, New York. They are notable because their storylines usually are filled with erotic and sexual themes. Due to the shows having adult sexual content, many of those that attend WEW's live shows must be age 21 or older.

WEW hosts its shows on Pay-Per-View at The Arena, the former home of Xtreme Championship Wrestling. Former arenas that used to host the show are The Electric Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and at The Centerstage in Atlanta, Georgia. The promotion does usually three shows a year, one in the spring, one in the fall and one in the winter. On some rare occasions they would have shows in the summer, like in 2007. These events are taped for pay-per-view, in which usually they tape two pay-per-views or in some occasions three pay-per-views at an event.

WEW has made attempts to secure female wrestlers from all around the world. In addition to this, WEW has attracted a large number of Adult performers such as Fujiko Kano, Taylor St. Clair, and many others. Mattie Hunter, Simply Luscious, Lucy Furr, and Francine are currently among the top stars in the company. Notable alumni include Alexis Pasma, Jazz, Shelly Martinez, Talia Madison, Jackie, Black Barbie, and Traci Brooks.

The promotion is also known for being one of America's few hardcore all-female wrestling companies, if there are any others. WEW has offered matches usually performed by male wrestlers, including flaming tables matches, strap matches & TLC matches, and has also introduced numerous sexual elements to matches, such as the WEW's "Adult Entertainer Oil Rumble Battle Royal Elimination Match", "Stripper Pole Dance Off Contest" and the "Winner Gets The Ho" Match (usually involves a wrestler with 'ho' in their name).

Although the promotion continues to offer previously taped matches on DVD and digital download, they have not promoted a live event since 2008.
