The following night on Rage, Evolved Revolution revealed that they had caused the no contest for McAlmond to retain, that it was all a plan thought up by McAlmond. Rage General Manager Rex Martin then came out and told Evolved Revolution that he had talked with McAlmond before the show and was told that McAlmond had no clue of what was going on, revealing that it was a set up to break the friendship between McAlmond and Simpson, McAlmond and the Club of Chaos (including Simpson) came out through the WIW Universe and attacked Borske and Evolved Revolution, Rex Martin would go on to make a match at World War between the Club of Chaos' McAlmond and Simpson against Evolved Revolution's Borske and new member Jeremy Calvert. Both Borske and Calvert accepted the match on one term that the championship's held by McAlmond and Simpson, Martin at first declined to put the titles on the line, until McAlmond and Simpson agreed to put the titles up for grabs, just to get them in the ring. On the last Rage of 2016, Kooper McAlmond confronted Matt Borske in the locker room of the Evolved Revolution and called the group cowards for what they did at Winter Warzone, causing Borske and Evolved Revolution to attack Kooper.
