The card featured matches that resulted from scripted storylines and had results predetermined by WIW on the Rage brand. Storylines were produced on WIW's weekly television shows Wednesday Night Rage and Dynamites Live, the latter of which is dynamite division-exclusive.

At SummerBash, Tyler Mane defeated Kevin McAlmond, Matt Borske and Dustin Simpson in the second fall of the Fatal 4-Way match to retain the WIW World Championship. The following Wednesday on Rage, Mane, Scout Taylor-Compton and Mane's wife, Renae Geerlings came out to celebrate the victory. They were interrupted by the International Champion Kevin McAlmond who told Mane that he would be coming after what's "his" soon enough. They were both then interrupted by frustrated Simpson who first blamed McAlmond about him not being able to challenge for the International Championship, then told McAlmond to stay out of his business and attacked Mane, leaving him laying. Later in the show, it was announced that Mane would defend the WIW World Championship against Simpson at No Remorse. The following week, Mane issued a warning to Simpson. Later in the show, McAlmond sent an open challenge for the WIW International Championship to anyone that wants to answer before confronting Simpson about his attitude towards the group and the two soon brawled backstage before being seperated by officals. On the final Rage before No Remorse, it was announced that Kevin McAlmond would be the special guest referee for the title match, Eric Stevens and the Evolved Revolution then attacked McAlmond, before being chased away by Ryan Barnhart) and The Borske (Matt Borske and Ryan Borske). Later that night, McAlmond confronted Rex Martin and demanded a match against Stevens, Rex Martin booked a Eight-man tag team match, with Kevin McAlmond, Barnhart and The Borske's to face the team of Eric Stevens, Daniel Gonzalez, Ryan Gleason and Brian Tobol, Stevens wanted the title on the line, but Martin denied it and told Stevens his team would have to win if he wanted a shot at the International title, Stevens agreed to have the match at No Remorse.

On the August 23 episode of Rage, Daniel O'Brien made his return to the Rage brand for the first time since the 2016 draft and told the WIW Universe that he returned to Rage to face one man. Kooper McAlmond then came down to confront Gonzalez, as Kooper McAlmond was the person O'Brien came to Rage for. They were interrupted by Evolved Revolution, and a tag team match was scheduled where McAlmond and O'Brien defeated Evolved Revolution's Jason Downing and Jacob George. The following week, O'Brien and McALmond had a contract signing for a match at No Remorce. O'Brien immediately signed the contract while McAlmond was reluctant to do so. After a heated back and forth argument of words, Kooper finally signed the contract. They were then interrupted by Evolved Revolution's Ryan Gleason and Brian Tobol and an impromptu tag team match was scheduled where O'Brien and McAlmond defeated Gleason and Tobol. The following week, after O'Brien defeated Ryan Lorenz, McAlmond confronted O'Brien and said that he now knew why O'Brien had never been a World Champion. The two went back and forth and McAlmond tried to get O'Brien to fight him, but O'Brien told McAlmond he wanted to wait to show him why he's the Future of WIW by beating him at No Remorse and left.

At SummerBash, Brenah McAlmond-Quinn defeated Brittany Hiatt, Leah, Victoria Lehr and Sari Pasma in a Fatal 5-Way match to win the WIW World Women's Championship. The following Wednesday night on Rage, McAlmond-Quinn came out to celebrate with the title, but was confronted by Hiatt, who invoked her championship rematch for the following week. That week, Hiatt defeated McAlmond-Quinn by disqualification after Lehr attacked Hiatt, allowing McAlmond-Quinn to retain the WIW World Women's Championship. After the match, Lehr continued to attack Hiatt, only for McAlmond-Quinn return to the ring to make the save but was attacked by Tia George this brought out Leah to make the save. The following week, Rage General Manager Rex Martin revealed that since the match ended in a DQ, Hiatt was able to have one more championship rematch. Hiatt then invoked her championship rematch for No Remorse. Later, Lehr demanded that she should be in the title match, followed by Leah, who stated it was Lehr who got pinned at SummerBash. Rage General Manager Rex Martin scheduled Lehr and Leah to face McAlmond-Quinn and Hiatt where if they won, both Lehr and Leah would be added to the title match at No Remorce. Lehr and Leah were victorious and the World Women's Championship match at No Remorse became a fatal four-way match. On the final Rage before No Remorse, Sari Pasma asked Rex Martin for a chance to be put into the title match at the PPV, after a confrontation with Lehr where Lehr told Pasma she didn't deserve to be added, Martin announced that if Pasma could beat Lehr, he would add her to the match. Later that night, Pasma defeated Lehr and was added to the title match, making it a fatal five way match.

At SummerBash, The Club of Chaos (Matt Hooper and Josh Hooper) captured the WIW World Tag Team Championship from Team Arrow (Oliver Queen and John Diggle), by also defeating Seth Smith and Craig Remsen, and Michael Fonger and Quay Painter in a fatal four way tag team match. The following Wednesday on Rage, The Hoopers came out to celebrate with the championship. Tehy were then confronted by The Wolf Pack (Scott McCall and Derek Hale) and congratulated the new champions before challenging them to a non-title match that The Club of Chaos (Hoopers) won. The following week, Diggle defeated Josh Hooper after being distracted by Remsen, after the match Diggle and Queen came out and an impromptu tag team match was made where Matt Hooper and Oliver Queen defeated Remsen and Smith after Josh Hooper got involved. Team Arrow invoked their championship rematch for No Remorse.
