SummerSlam (2018) is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event, produced by World Incorporated Wrestling for their Rage and ShowDown brands. It will take place on August 19, 2018, at the Capital High Arena in Helena, Montana. It will be the twentieth event under the SummerBash chronology.

[edit] Storylines

The card will comprise matches resulting from scripted storylines, with results predetermined by WIW on the Rage and ShowDown brands. Storylines are produced on WIW's weekly television shows, Wednesday Night Rage and Thursday Night ShowDown.

[edit] Rage

At Broken Bodies, Tyler Mane retained the WIW World Championship by defeated Eric Stevens and Kevin McAlmond in a Belgrade Street Fight, pinning Stevens after McAlmond hit Stevens with the Killer Effect to retain the WIW World Championship. On July 17, Rage General Manager Rex Martin announced that he would decided who would face Mane for the WIW World Championship at SummerBash. On the July 18 episode of Rage, Matt Borske, Kevin McAlmond, Aaron Kelly, Michael Fonger, Eric Stevens, Mikhail Schmalzried, James Burdick, Chris Gomez and Josh Erickson all came out and said they deserved a shot at Mane. In response, Martin scheduled three Triple threat match that night, with the winners facing each other the following week to see who would face Mane at SummerSlam. Borske won the first Triple threat match by defeating Erickson and Gomez, while Stevens won the second Triple threat match by defeated Burdick and Schmalzried, and McAlmond won the third Triple threat match defeating Fonger and Kelly, in which Borske won to face Mane for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.

After defeated Sarah Grobel at Broken Bodies. The following Wednesday on Rage, WIW World Women's Champion Brenah McAlmond-Quinn said she had beaten every women on the Rage roster. Samantha Clakley, who was costed the title at Money in the Bank, and Sis Bates, who was the surviving member of the 5-on-5 Team USA vs. Team Japan Extreme Rules elimination match confronted McAlmond-Quinn with intentions of getting a shot at the title. Rage General Manager Rex Martin then came out and scheduled McAlmond-Quinn to defend the title against both Clakely and Bates in a triple threat match at SummerBash as long as no one gets physical with anyone involved.

At Broken Rules, Eric Stevens and Kevin McAlmond failed to win the WIW World Championship from Tyler Mane, after the match McAlmond attacked Stevens performing his finisher the Killer Effect on him. On the July 25 episode of Rage, Stevens vowed get revenge on McAlmond to take everything away from him. After the two failed to win another shot at the WIW World Championship at SummerBash, which was won by Borske, after the match Stevens and the Evolved Revolution attacked McAlmond. A match between the two was then scheduled for SummerBash with a stipulation that if Stevens won, he would win McAlmond's Money in the Bank contract.

At Broken Bodies, Kooper McAlmond defeated Michael Fonger 7–6 in sudden death overtime of a 30-minute Iron Man match to retain the International Championship. On the July 23 episode of Raw, Fonger and Joe Smith defeated McAlmond and Eric Hawkins, after Hawkins turned on McAlmond and sided with Smith. A rematch between McAlmond and Fonger for the title was scheduled for SummerBash.

On the August 1 episode of Rage, one of the Sons of Chaos' newest members Jenna Lilley called out WIW World Women's Champion Brenah McAlmond-Quinn about her SummerBash title defense. However, instead Victoria Lehr came out and confronted Lilley. Lehr told Lilley she doesn't deserve to even stand in the same ring as the World Women's Champion, much less her. A brawl had ensued between the to before officials broke it up, a match was announced between the two at SummerBash.

At Broken Bodies, Kevin Hunter rtained the WIW Heavyweight Championship against Jeffrey Mahana. On the July 26 episode of ShowDown, ShowDown Co-General Manager Stephanie Thennis was about to announce Hunter's opponent for SummerBash with an open contract, but was interrupted by Kadee Jones' unknown associate. As Thennis was distracted by him (who was also fired by Thennis), Peter Damrow attacked Hunter with the Damrow Clutch. Damrow then signed the contract thus making their match for the title official at SummerBash.

On July 22, Stephanie Thennis announced a #1 contenders tag team title tournament with the winning team earning a championship match against The Bloodbath Brothers (Reintjes and Truax) for the Heavyweight Tag Team Championship at SummerBash. On the July 26 episode of ShowDown, The Dooms Day's Marc Beltran and Brandon, Dustin Simpson and Jesse Dern and Jason Downing and Jacob George advanced to the semifinals by defeating InSanity's Kenneth Brown and James Palmer and The Nuss Brothers (Zack and Josh Nuss), respectivly. While The PWC's Russell Dalton and Chris Wheat) defeated The Wolf Pack's Tyler Posey and Dylan O'Brien and The Revolution's Tony Casiano and Kyle Webster in a triple threat match to advance to the semifinals. The Dooms Day's Marc Beltran and Steve Britz defeated Jason Downing and Jacob George after Marcus Batey attacked Downing allowing Britz to pin George to advance to the finals, however before the The PWC and Dustin Simpson and Jesse Dern match was able to begin, Downing and George attacked Dern and Simpson during their entrance after ShowDown General Manager Turf Finnegan had Downing and George banned from the arena, he let the PWC and Simpson and Dern both advance to the finals. During the finals of the tournament, the Heavyweight Tag Team Champions The Bloodbath Brothers (Reintjes and Truax) attacked all three teams leaving the title match unclear. The following day, Turf Finnegan announced that all three teams would face The Bloodbath Brothers for the title at SummerBash.

On the July 26 episode of ShowDown, Ali Richards defeated WIW Heavyweight Women's Champion Kadee Jones in a non-title match to earn the right to face Jones for the title at SummerBash. The following week, Jade Zimmer and Kaila Matteson were added to the match after defeating Jones and Richards, respectivly, thus making the match a Fatal four way match.

At Broken Bodies, Corbin Edwards defeated Devin Sullivan to capture the United Nations Championship. A rematch between the two for the title was scheduled for the following ShowDOwn with Sullivan winning by disqualification. On August 3, another match between the two for the title was scheduled for SummerBash.

On the July 26 episode of ShowDown, Quinn Noel defeated Jeffrey Mahana in a match that was also supposed to involve Sean Conner but Noel had attacked and injured him. The following week, Taryn Noel defeated Teresa Turville. A rematch between Noel and Turville with Noel winning again. On August 12, a mixed tag team match between Mahana and Turville and Quinn and Taryn was scheduled for the SummerBash pre-show.
