[edit] Background
The card will include matches resulting from scripted storylines and have results predetermined by WIW on the Rage brand, one of WIW's brand divisions. Storylines are produced on WIW's weekly television show Rage.
At the World War, Corbin Edwards co-won the men's World War Rumble match with Kevin McAlmond, it would be announced by the Rage General Manager Rex Martin and ShowDown General Manager Turf Finnegan that both would go for their respective brands championship, however due to the controversal outcome of the Rumble match, both would defend their opportunities at their brands next PPV events. On the following episode of ShowDown, Finnegan announced that Edwards would defend his opportunity in a Six-Pack Elimination Challenge. On the February 8 episode of ShowDown, Andy Haegele, Peter Damrow, and Mark Semmler qualified for the match by defeating James Masterson, Michael Soto, and Louie Blood, Jr., respectivly. On the February 15 episode of ShowDown, Joe Linderman defeated Liam Phillips to qualify and Charlie Lynch defeated David Aldrich and Brandon Brandscum in a triple threat match to qualify for the Six-Pack Challenge match.
At the World War, The Enterprise (Kevin Hunter and Mark Semmler) defeated The Revolution (Daniel Mazurek, Michael Nathe and Kyle Webster) in a three-on-two handicap match to allow Hunter to retain the WIW Heavyweight Championship. On the following episode of ShowDown, Mazurek and Nathe interrupted 2018 Men's World War winner, Corbin Edwards and said that they should be the co-WIW Heavyweight Champions along Kyle Webster, but blamed the referee for the lose and also blamed Hunter for Webster's injury. Hunter came out and suggested that he and Edwards team up to face Mazurek and Nathe and finish the job he started at World War, which General Manager Turf Finnegan made official for later that night in which Hunter and Edwards won. During the match, there were tensions between Mazurek and Nathe, resulting in the rest of The Revolution to come out after the match and seperate the two as a result of Finnegan scheduling them to face each other the following week to determine the number one contender for the WIW Heavyweight Championship at Final Fight. Their match ended in a double disqualification, however, as Hunter was provoked by Nathe and attacked both men, leading to Turf Finnegan scheduling a triple threat match for the title. Commission Dixie Finnegan then announced on the ShowDown Aftershow that the winner of a match on the following weeks episode of ShowDown would be added to the championship match to make it a fatal four way. On the February 14 episode of Rage, Brandon Martin returned to WIW, unsuccessfully qualifying for the Elimination Chamber match, after Rage went off the air, it was announced that Brandon Martin would face Jax Teller for the 4th spot in the title match. Before that match started, however, The Revolution led by Mazuriek and Nathe attacked Martin in the backstage arena and later went after Teller to prevent either from being added. In response, Dixie scheduled Martin to face Mazurek and Nathe to face Teller, with both Martin and Teller being added if they won their respective matches, while also threatening that if any member of the Revolution interferced in any of the matches, that person competing would be removed from the title match. Martin and Teller won their respective matches, thus making it a fatal five-way for the WIW Heavyweight Championship at Final Fight.
