Testube is a bun (apparently) who can only say the word "bun". The reason for this is unknown. For as long as anyone can remember, he's been an assistant to Professor Oh Gee. For as long as Testube can remember, he's had shoes made of cement on, his skin has been tan, and his face has been red (due to some experimental hot sauce). These anomalies, however, have existed before he began to work for Oh Gee. ...well, not sure about the cement shoes part. He is very timid and nervous, and also somewhat dismal from the abuse he takes from Oh Gee's experiments. Despite this, he knows Oh Gee is a good fellow, he just wishes he would listen to him more often.

Top Story Bio
Kinda hard to say, since all he can say is "Bun". But he's a scientist or something and the skin color was a side affect from an ointment that he was testing, the red face was from some expirimental hot sauce, and his grey feet is due to some cement shoes he was testing out. Yep. Who knows why all he can say is "Bun" though. But you can probably tell what he's trying to say from how he says Bun and what he's doing....... or not. He’s worked for Professor Oh Gee for a while as an assistant.
History
Early Life
Testube's early life is shrouded in mystery. Well, in "Bun". In other words, no one knows what he did before he began to work for Oh Gee. All that's really known is that at some point he tested some experimental ointment and hot sauce, causing his skin to turn tan and his face to turn red. His cement shoes may or may not have been associated with Oh Gee. As for Testube's language, it's unknown why he only says "Bun". It is also unknown how Oh Gee can understand him.
Oh Gee Labs
At some point, Testube was hired by Oh Gee to be his assistant. Unfortunately, it often involves a good amount of pain when Testube is testing Oh Gee's inventions and experiments. He didn't have much of an appearance in any story until The Plot of Evil Dreams, in which he was one of the characters to escape from Star World and helped out in a couple battles. Later, in X-Chaos, Testube appeared between each chapter testing an experiment or something, and each time Testube was hurt in some way.
Testube also had a brief appearance in the Metal Wars Climax, helping Oshy get Apricot and Oh Gee to a civilian camp, and then in the Topmonhit Story ’09 Valentime’s Day Special: Island of the Lopunny, he flew Topper to the Pokéworld to help him find a love (he also convinced Topper to return to Star World). When The Dark Perforation Army invaded the planet, Testube helped defend the castle from the invading creatures, along with Oshy and Sunset.
Although Testube had brief appearances in later stories, his next big appearance would be in Return to Gisho, where he and Oh Gee left to [Gisho Island]] to run some tests and see if it was habitable. However, after reaching the campsite, the former site of Gisho Island, they realized they had lost the lifeometer, which was used to measure what life was on the island. Testube left to go get it, and when he found it, he saw there was more life than just him and Oh Gee. Just then he was attacked by the Koopa Troop and kidnapped.
A week later Testube was brought to Eggwood, where Bowser Jr., Kamek and Kammy were searching for anyone else. They eventually finished their search when Top, Topper, Scorch, Tron and Hey You showed up. They defeated Bowser Jr., Kamek and Kammy, saving Testube (although he was confused, as they weren't supposed to be there). They went to the former site of Gisho Town, where Oshy, Apricot, Power Box, Sunset and Sally were. Oh Gee was now missing, however, and they decided to wait until the next day to go looking for him.
The next day, Apricot was missing, and they had found a message left by Rexor. They followed the message to a castle he had built, where they had to battle Bowser, only he was being controlled by the Shroobs. They defeated him, then went on to defeat Rexor in four separate battles. Once he was defeated, a voice called to Oshy to come to the Star Cavern, where they found Oh Gee at, safe and sound. The one that had called them was a purple yoshi spirit named Lavinia, who revealed to be Oshy's mother. She was there to warn them of something that was coming, though Testube wasn't sure what that meant or if he would be involved.
Non-Canon Appearances
Tick Tack Emissary
In the Tick Tack Emissary, Testube took on the role of Luigi, getting smashed by Dr. Pikachu (King Dedede) in his first appearance, then used as bait to lure I.M. Ugly (Wario) close enough so that Dr. P could make off with the trophies of Hikaru (Zelda) and Lucky (Ness) she had. Dr. P then brought the Testube trophy to Woohoo Hooniversity and placed a badge on him; unfortunately, Koogar (Bowser) attacked and caused the roof to cave in, turning Dr. P into a trophy as well. The Hooniversity was then sucked into Tick Tack Dude.
Testube did nothing for the rest of the story until the badge activated him, untrophying him and Lucky. They then untrophied Dr. P, and went through the Tick Tack, untrophying others until everyone was untrophied. They then entered Tick Tack Dude, and Testube was sent to Popstar RP along with Spirit (Meta Knight). Once they got through, Testube helped defeat Count Bleah (Tabuu) in the end.
Personal Information
Personality
Testube's personality isn't directly noticable because all he can says is "bun". However, he does have a personality, which is largely timidness and fear. He is also somewhat depleted from the abuse he suffers from the various experiments. However, despite this, he is fairly excitable, and also peaceful, as despite all he's gone through in Oh Gee Labs, he still hasn't tried to hurt Oh Gee or anything.
Appearance
Testube is a bun with tan skin, a red face (as if he was sunburned), and is wearing gray cement shoes.
Abilities
Testube has the ability to throw things far distances. He also has the ability to be... really... heavy.
Items
Chemicals
Testube has a large number of various chemicals he can throw that do various things if they hit someone, such as... random... status afflictions. And explosions.
Jet Shoes
Testube also has jets in his shoes that usually malfucntion and send him blasting around or just explode.
Interactions with Other Characters
Generally, Testube doesn't talk to very many characters. This is likely because no one can understand him.
Oshy
- Main Article: Oshy Gisho
Testube and Oshy are friends, although they don't interact very much because Oshy usually talks to Oh Gee. He's tried to get Oshy to talk to Oh Gee about the experiments, but he's never able to.
Topper
- Main Article: Topper Mon Hit
Topper is one of the few characters Testube talks to a bit more regularly, most likely because Topper can understand him. He flew Topper to the Pokéworld to help him on Valentine's Day, and they get along well.
Apricot
- Main Article: Princess Apricot Gisho
Testube and Apricot rarely talk to one another, although they are on good terms. Testube has tried to get her, like Oshy, to talk to Oh Gee about the experiments, but has been unable to due to his lack of any language that isn't just "bun".
Oh Gee
- Main Article: Professor Oh Gee
Testube has worked with Oh Gee for longer than anyone can remember, and Testube has mixed feelings about him. While they are good friends, Testube often gets hurt somehow in experiments and testing inventions. However, he has never had any ill-will towards Oh Gee, and feels that if he could get a word in, things might change, but has never really been able to. Thus, he trudges through his work, helping out Oh Gee when he can.
Shi'un
- Main Article: Shi'un Valyion
Testube seems to like Shi'un more than other characters, and likes to talk to her, even though she probably can't understand him.
Trivia
- Testube was inspired by Beaker from The Muppets, and they very much share a similar role.
- Although he is a Kirby series character, Testube has never actually appeared in a story at a Kirby planet with the exception of Popstar RP, but the Testube of that RP did not work for Oh Gee and for some reason had some sort of relationship with Count Bleah.
- For Halloween 2008, Testube went as Master Hand.
