The award was also created in 2008. The inaugural winner of the award was The Prodigy from the federation [[Championship Wrestling Association]]. His stint in backyard wrestling ranged back to the mid-90's, and during his tenure in CWA beginning in 2005 displayed very professional technical proficiency which gained him much fandom and respect in the practice.
