Liberty Islands Air Force (Szabadság Szigetek Légiereje)

The LIAF is a separate branch of the Armed Forces of Liberty Islands. Its task is to secure the air above and around the islands, provide assistance and air support to the rest of the armed forces homeland or abroad.

The independent LIAF was established in 1920. This was rare at the that time, as most of the air forces were part of the army branch.

There are other reserve airfields and emergency landing strips which can be activeted as needed. Some sections of the state motorways can be used as landing strips.
