The show is broadcasted all over the galaxy, gaining millions of viewers with a huge fandom follow, this poses alot of problems with the real characters being bugged for autographs which doesn't happen very often but that's nothing compare to shipping problems, TopxChibi against TopxSally.
Plot
The plot is simular to the Yoshi Bodyguards but some of the events are changed to make the Story Arcs fuild. All of the actions became more dynamic. Some of the plots are seperate as OVAs and non-canon since they never really happened. And only very few anime-exclusive characters star in the anime.
There some arcs that made it different from the RP, Apricot, the Gisho Family, and Rexor appeared earlier. Most of the Core YB members killed Vafudor together instead of Anubis alone. And some fanservice for good measure.
Difference between anime and RP
- Most of the outfits the characters wore have more details and more flavor, some have alot of pouches and zippers.
- Subsourian the Dark's appearance is more bishonen much to Sub's chargin.
- Pokemon remained unchanged. The character design are in fourth-generation era (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/Heart Gold/Soul Silver era).
- The stories have sightly mature themes and tones, making it a PG show. Some blood can be seen.
- Fawful's appearance is more sinister.
- Most females character look more beautiful. Cackletta and Gruntilda in the anime has extreme makeover to gain more viewers.
- When Top's thinking, the art style shifts to look like paper cut-outs drawn with crayons to make it funny.
- The Clone Army appears more earlier.
- Clone Trooper armor looks more cooler with a Gundam-like look.
- Non-canon OVA movies are added.
- Before the intro of each episode, there's alway some gag that make any character look funny such as Sneezier's reading the wrong script in Episode 47.
- Sneezier and Dr. Tyrato became arch-rivals.
- FOEA is ten times more dangerous, able to overthrow the Galactic Federation and use the possessed army to attack Star World.
- Bowser and Eggman team up.
Chibi's Facts
- Chibi initially thought the anime was complete bullshit (especially since SHE OF ALL PEOPLE HAD BOOBS IN IT), but then realized that in episode 139 she was depicted as confessing her true love to Doopliss. She then began watching it until approximately five minutes later, when one of Sneezier's giant ships crashed onto Doopliss as they shared an intimate moment. Chibi has since gone on internet forums and complained about the whole mess.
- Chibi also sent complaint letters about the whole thing existing. She managed to get the show cancelled at episode 140, a blessing to her and those around her.
- To date, the cancellation of the Yoshi Bodyguards Anime has been the only good thing Chibi has done.
