Merty is a Metang that has EV trained itself in Defense and Special Defense, making it incredibly resiliant to most attacks. Its reason for the EV training was, in fact, because it is a nerd. With various nerdy activities. It is also known that it is a fan of the series "Professor What", a parody of Doctor Who.
