The Titan's West team is comprised of Beastboy, Cyborg, Robin, Raven, and Starfire. They live in a tower, shaped like a T. The tower is located near Jump city, on an island near the shore, in the middle of the ocean. They are the original Teen Titans, and they are the main characters in the series.

The Titans have a pet moth larvae, which Beastboy named Silkie after he took it (from Killer Moth's basement) after the moth incident in Date with Destiny. He is later given to Starfire, whom adores it and treats it with much affection.

In Season 5, there was a prequel episode titled Go!, and it describes how the Titans met up. Starfire was a Tameranean that was being taken to the Citadel, in order to perform work for them. Robin had just separated from Batman, and he had moved to Jump city, in order to start anew, working alone. Cyborg was patrolling his neighborhood at the time, Raven was in a dark alley after she had fled from Azarath, and Beast boy had just separated from the Doom Patrol, after the Doom Patrol was defeated and disbanded. When Starfire began to trash Jump City to get the handcuffs that were binding her off of her, Robin tried to stop her, then Cyborg came in after she tried to hit him by throwing a bus with her foot. Beast boy had come onto the scene by introducing himself- after hitting Starfire in one of his animal forms. When they all charged for a final assault at the weary Tameranean, Raven stopped them with her Soul self, and pointed out reason to them, and they saw that she was handcuffed, and merely trying to get them off her.

The Titans West has encountered many villains over the time they have spent as heroes. The sole villain the Titans present as the biggest threat is Slade, due to his nature of secrecy, unlike other villains, who tell the heroes of their grand plan. Slade is one of the most dangerous villains the Titans have ever encountered, being the only villain who's schemes nearly work to a point of nearly killing one or more of the Titans.

The Titans west is mainly comprised of 5 members, but it expanded to 6 as it included Terra for a few weeks. However, Terra betrayed the Titans, temporarily losing the title until she sacrificed herself to stop a massive eruption, killing Slade temporarily in the process, and becoming encased in molten lava. She was frozen in that state until she was freed by an unknown person(s). Terra is attending a school, but she does not remember anything. From the outfit in her school, she wears a school uniform, suggesting that she goes to a catholic school to redeem herself. It is suggested that she chose to forget her memories, and renounce her powers, deeming them evil.
