The duo is Triple K and Kaila Matteson, who play tyrannical, power-abusing and sadistic co-owners of IWE who justify their actions as being "best for business". Their cronies include McAlmond who is the Authority's hand-picked champion and "face of the IWE", and Kane, the "Director of Operations". Longtime associates of Triple K, The New Age Outlaws (Billy Gunn and Road Dogg) also have ties to the group. The Shield formerly acted as the Authority's main henchmen to offer protection or carry out attacks until March 2014.
