The group currently consists of Triple K and Kalia Matteson as leaders, Kane, Chris lopezSeth Rollins, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury. Previously, The Shield acted as the Authority's main henchmen to offer protection or carry out attacks until March 2014 and Kevin Orton as the "Face of the WWE" until October 2014.
The name of "the Authority" was only introduced in October 2013. On IWE's television programmes, the term refers to the duo of Triple K and Kaila Mattson The Authority shares similarities with The Corporation and the Matteson-Kelmsley Faction.
