At Money in the Bank, Brenah McAlmond-Quinn won the women's Money in the Bank ladder match after shoving Victoria Lehr from the ladder and rechiving the briefcase. Later in the night, Lehr got involved in the Triple threat match for the WIW World Women's Championship between Sarah Grobel, Samantha Clakley and Mckenzie Wofford attacking all three women, McAlmond-Quinn came out to attack Lehr, but Lehr retreated. McAlmond-Quinn attempted to cash in but was attacked by Lehr and Tessa Smith until Grobel made the save, causing Lehr and Smith to retreat again. McAlmond-Quinn and Grobel than had an intense staredown. On June 19, it was announced that Grobel would defend the WIW Women's Championship against McAlmond-Quinn at Broken Bodies. However, on the June 20, 2018 episode of Rage, McAlmond-Quinn successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to win the WIW World Women's Championship for the second time, making McAlmond-Quinn the defending champion against Grobel.

At Money in the Bank, Kevin Hunter retained the WIW Heavyweight Championship by defeating defeated Corbin Edwards in a Last Man Standing Cage match. A gauntlet match was scheduled for the June 21 edition of ShowDown, with the participants being Mark Semmler, Jeffrey Mahana, Eric Horne, and Marc Beltran where the winner would face Hunter for the title at Broken Rules, which Mahana won by last eliminating Semmler by performing The Mahana. After the match, Hunter came out to congradulate Mahana, shaking hands. Peter Damrow attacked Mahana and Hunter. It was announced on WIW.com that a match between Mahana and Damrow would take place on next weeks ShowDown and if Damrow wins, he is added to the match at Broken Rules.
