It will take place on February 12, 2017, at the The Sports Arena in Butte, Montana. This will be the seventh event under the Steele Roulette chronology, and the first to be held since 2015.

On the January 19, 2017 episode of ShowDown, commissioner Dixe Finnegan announced that the main event of Steel Roulette would be an Elimination Chamber match for the WIW Heavyweight Championship. The champion going into the match will be determined at the World War where WIW Heavyweight Champion Kevin Hunter will defend the title against former champion Mark Semmler.
