"I have not... come this far... to die now!"CivGeneral Valentine<ref>Never had a surname, let alone a first name, through out the entire DYOS series until DYOS 11. When he opted to take Jill's</ref> or simply CivGeneral, Half-Life series, Fallout 3, Steam, Japan, Survival Horror genres, and Star Wars are practically synonymous. Whatever the quest, he is guaranteed to start on a technologically superior footing thanks in no small part to the backing of a galactic empire. CivGeneral assumes the role of moral authority, and anyone who crosses his path will end up in conflict. He wields inescapable influence over the world’s events, and the DYOS tradition overall. CivGeneral has the honor of being the most prolific DYOS contributor of all time, being the only regular contributor to all twelve past and present DYOS threads.

Background
CivGeneral is a veteran of various wars in the Republic of Coruscant's history, starting with the First Nazi War in 1996 (commonly called "The War of '96"). He rose through the ranks to become one of Coruscant's Surface Marshals. Yet he had a complicated past that few know about.
Childhood
CivGeneral was born on April 28th, 1983. CivGeneral was an optimistic child and friends around. Though things changed his life during his younger years: the death of his two parents followed by years of torment and bullying in middle school broke the cutie. Not to mention failed relationships with girls forced him to move into the broken bird category. This prompted CivGeneral to escape and enroll into the Imperial Military Academy. To this day, he has not confronted his tormentors from his youth. For unknown reasons, his parents chose not to give him a surname.
First Nazi War, aka War of '96
Fresh out of the Imperial Military Academy of Coruscant, CivGeneral's first mission (which Samus calls CivGeneral's Zero Mission) was to infiltrate a heavily defended Nazi base in Central Groton to destroy a radar post and anti-aircraft battery to allow Coruscanti bombers to strike Nazi-occupied territories. He earned himself a field promotion to First Lieutenant for his actions.
A year later, he and his platoon were tasked with destroying a Nazi artillery battery pinning down an invasion force during the Battle of Bluff Point. The commanding captain resisted demands for a frontal assault, worried the platoon would be out-flanked and the invasion force compromised. CivGeneral proposed a diversionary tactic that would allow a small squadron to infiltrate the defences and sabotage the battery. The captain approved, and CivGeneral took command of the squad, destroying the batteries and allowing the Coruscanti forces to capture Bluff Point, and subsequently push on to Little Fitchburg.<ref>http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=8221182#post8221182</ref>
Weeks later, the unstoppable Coruscanti forces marched triumphantly into the Nazi capital of Little Fitchburg. There they encountered Colonel Manfred Hickten, disguised in civilian clothing. Hickten pulled his disguise off well, and CivGeneral, thinking he was a non-combatant, left him on his way. Years later, Hickten would reveal his treachery. It was during these events of the First Nazi War that CivGeneral took a level in badassery.
Second Nazi War, aka Nazi Insurgency
In the years between 1999 and 2001, remnant Nazi forces were still at large. After stockpiling weapons and mustering a droid army to compensate for their losses, they launched a surprise offensive against the Coruscantis, successfully capturing all of Coruscant's colonies in southeastern Connecticut. CivGeneral, now promoted to Lieutenant General, led the counter-offensive to great success, defeating the Nazi insurgents and recapturing the colonies.
Inter-war period
In the time between the Second Nazi War and the Avatar Wars, space-based technological advancement had significantly improved within the Republic of Coruscant. Despite many minor conflicts (Wustman-Post War and the Second Barbanian War), CivGeneral led the Republic's armies to great success and rose to the rank of Surface Marshal. CivGeneral led colonization efforts in space, colonizing the moons of Saturn and beyond while his peers at the top of the chain of command lounged behind their 100% imported mahogany office desks.
DYOS 1
Unknown between the events of the Second Nazi War to the events of Draw Your Own Story 1, he married Mara Jade whom he known during his space travels. Originally both CivGeneral and Mara Jade were tracking down the infamous Osama Bin Laden under an independent mercenary team known as the Jade Commandos, however were ambushed by CurtSibling. As usual, the small squad retaliated and met up with Zarn
After learning the threat of CurtSibling, soon decided to protect the top 10 posters<ref>Ironically, CivGeneral would end up becoming part of the 10 poster club later in the years</ref> against Curt. Though eventually, CivGeneral's personal MiG-31 was shot down and later interrogated Baghdad Bob and stormed CurtSibling's factory.
Later the heroes were summoned to Australia by Zarn. However, in light of siding with Zarn, and snapping at an unnamed General, Lara Croft was summoned to bring him back to the light side. Later Curt sent Jen-1000 to intercept both CiGeneral and Mara Jade.
Soon it was revealed after being contacted by an unnamed Admiral that Osama Bin Laden was actually CurtSibling in desguise and was tasked to track down Curt's lesser minions, General Hosk von Ripper. After a long journey Admiral Daala, Mara Jade, and CivGeneral came to Austrialia and launched a naval invasion to thwart Elden's military force and eventually captured Eden and quickly made way to Hygro's fleet and pulverized them.
Redemption
In the mist of battle, they were met with Henry Kissinger to broker a deal between Elden and CivGeneral to make peace and an alliance. Before the ink was dry, they were ambushed by SoCalian and quickly headed to the United Nations where he rallied all the nations of the world to go up against SolCalian.
Eventually, a Time Warp occurred when CivCube activated the Demod and soon were tasked to destroy the device. Though it came down to simply, burping the tupperware. Eventually, a new challenger arrived. A simple man named Bacon King with delusion of power and grander and torturing people with puppets.
... data beyond the 36th comic is corrupted, please reinstall OS ...
It is assumed that after Draw Your Own Story 3 that Mara and CivGeneral separated and CivGeneral himself filed for divorce. It would not be until DYOS 10 where Mara makes her vengeful return.
DYOS 10
Avatar Wars
The Coruscanti space colonization came to an abrupt halt when a threat of unknown origin came to light. CivGeneral faced his former avatars in a bloody coup under the command of Mara Jade (herself a former avatar), who placed him in a cryogenic freezer and usurped control of the Republic of Coruscant.
Luckily for CivGeneral, he was rescued by Coruscanti Loyalists who sought to deliver the Republic from Mara's rule. With the majority of the Coruscanti starfleet under Mara's control, CivGeneral assumed a mercenary/bounty hunter alias, scavenging spaceships and other equipment to supply the loyalists with their tools of war.
During the early phase of the rebellion, CivGeneral met up with other forumers who were fighting against their former avatars. Eventually CivGeneral captured all but one of his former avatars. Mara Jade became the Supreme Avatar Commander's second in command, and after learning of CivGeneral's escape, plotted nothing less than to put an end to his life. Some time later, CivGeneral met face-to-face with the Supreme Avatar Commander and Mara Jade aboard the Avatar Death Star in orbit above Earth.
The meeting was cut short when an outside force interrupted by assaulting the Avatar Death Star, ultimately destroying it. Fortunately, CivGeneral and his friends commandeered a Venator Star Destroyer and escaped. While the Supreme Avatar Commander and his New Avatar Order licked their wounds, CivGeneral went to find anyone willing to help defeat the New Avatar Order, eventually meeting up with Thorvald of Lym in Germany.
CivGeneral's expedition to find the Supreme Avatar Commander's HQ led him to a derelict scientific outpost in Antarctica. There he encountered Lord Joakim, who revealed that he had attempted to kill Thunderfall and soon afterward sided with kulade, which made CivGeneral feel betrayed. The meeting was short as the SAC released his Cybernetic Arachnid units on CivGeneral and his group. Lord Joakim fled and was never seen by the party again during the thread. CivGeneral fought the Arachnids in a Z-95 Headhunter. Soon the Battle of Earth began, dragging the protagonists along, the major showdown between the CFC forumers, the Coruscanti Loyalists, and the New Avatar Order. Eventually, CivGeneral's last avatar was captured and sent to the brig, liberating the Republic of Coruscant from the New Avatar Order.
With the arrival of Rocket and Thorvald's secret weapon, the New Avatar Order was caught with their pants down and their starfleet was all but destroyed. Kulade, left with no other choice, fled to his lair in Nar Kreeta. After learning of the whereabouts of Thunderfall, CivGeneral and Thorvald went to Nar Kreeta to infiltrate kulade's base and free Thunderfall from his clutches. Faced with little resistance, CivGeneral and Thorvald quickly penetrated the cell block, but were confronted by the Supreme Avatar Commander before reaching Thunderfall's cell. However, the SAC's plans to slay both Thorvald and CivGeneral were thwarted by Alyx Vance's timely intervention when she tossed a grenade at the walking pitcher of Kool-Aid.
- Includes the first half of the Combine Insurgency event
As CivGeneral and his friends were freeing Thunderfall, they soon learned that the New Avatar Order was growing increasingly weaker, employing mercenary troops from the Combine Empire.<ref>The Combine eventually made kulade's base on Nal Hutta their capital headquarters in our universe.</ref> The protagonists soon fled back to Earth, where CivGeneral learned that Bjørn had Thunderfall's soul and made a dash for Moscow.
By the time of their arrival, the Supreme Avatar Commander and the Combine had already secured themselves in Moscow with the Moscow Citadel smashed right on top of a palace.<ref>See: Paradox</ref> With no clear path to the enemy, CivGeneral, Alyx, and Thorvald had to traverse through a series of sewer networks to get close to the Moscow Citadel, eventually being airlifted straight to the citadel itself after exiting the sewers.
Inside, they met with kulade, who by an unknown means<ref>General Grievous</ref> recaptured Thunderfall; Thorvald's Avatars; Bjørn; and an unnamed Combine Advisor. Thorvald defeated both his avatars and the Advisor while CivGeneral defeated the Supreme Avatar Commander, kicking him into a portal that the SAC had created into the Dimension of Hiatus, thus ending the Avatar Wars.
The actions of CivGeneral during the Avatar Wars attracted the attention of another bounty hunter, Samus Aran.
Combine Insurgency
The aftermath of the fall of the Supreme Avatar Commander left one unanswered question: "How did Bjorn get Thunderfall's soul?" However, CivGeneral first had to face the mess kulade left behind: the Combine. CivGeneral was hired by Thorvald to locate Mr. Toyoda; the Combine soon sought Mr. Toyoda's whereabouts as well, seeking to capture him and disclose by any means necessary the knowledge of how he put Thunderfall's soul in a box.
- Main article: Hokkaidō Uprising
Decades-old intelligence led CivGeneral look for Mr Toyoda on the island of Hokkaidō, north of the Coruscanti colony of Japan. To CivGeneral's horror, he found Hokkaidō gripped by a police state and quickly decided to "deal with" whomever was in charge. CivGeneral eventually confronted Captain Tōjō, learning the whereabouts of Mr. Toyoda in the process.
- Main article: Battle of Fort Schmerzen
CivGeneral eventually met Mr. Toyoda in Germany. However, the meeting was cut short as General Grievous and his men had been stalking the protagonists ever since they left Moscow. Grievous kidnapped Mr. Toyoda, and in a vain attempt tried to make him crack and reveal his secrets. Mr. Toyoda was freed by CivGeneral and his friends shortly after Toyoda himself defeated General Grievous.
Combine-Coruscant War
- Includes the latter half of the Combine Insurgency event
In between the Hokkaido Uprising and the Battle of Ft. Schmerzen, CivGeneral was shocked to learn that his homeland was invaded and captured by the Combine Empire. Although distraught, he resolved to complete his mission to rescue Mr. Toyoda. Afterward, CivGeneral was commissioned by Mr. Toyoda to find the Gem, but CivGeneral was faced with a dilemma: how to get to Arrakis while the Combine held his country hostage? CivGeneral headed back to the Coruscanti mainland after the Republic liberated Norwich, New London, and Groton from the Combine, and led a blitzkrieg assault from the beaches of Tarkingrad to the eventual infiltration of New Port City Spaceport while the rest of the Coruscanti Army liberated the city proper.
From New Port City, he headed straight to Arrakis with the Combine in hot pursuit. After a stop at an unnamed space station, they were ambushed by a Combine squad led by Motoko Kusanagi. Kusanagi revealed herself a double agent, and led CivGeneral back to his ship, joining his escape from the Combine, unaware of the tracking device she was carrying.
- See also: Battle of Arrakis
Upon his arrival at Arrakis, CivGeneral discovered that the Combine were in the middle of invading the planet. He was aided by a local miner who took him to the Gem Cave. There he encountered Mara Jade within the caves; as he fought Mara, Dr. Breen captured his friends.
During the "constant interruption phase", Samus Aran arrived through the portal between Nar Kreeta and Arrakis. Eventually she was captured but freed herself, making a rendez-vouz with CivGeneral locked in a Lightsaber/Katana duel. CivGeneral saved her life after Mara Jade force-pushed her over a ledge. Eventually, Mara Jade came to her end by a simple backstab, and fell into the depths of the caves.

Inter-War II: Attack of the Period

After returning to Earth, CivGeneral and his companions discovered that many cities and towns had been destroyed by a mysterious monster. In search of Mr. Toyoda, CivGeneral and Co. traveled from Philadelphia to Syracuse, NY, finding one of Mr. Toyoda's PMC outposts there. CivGeneral's meeting with Colonel Sadao was interrupted by a raider attack, which the protagonists successfully repelled. After the attack, the group headed out to find Mr. Toyoda.<ref>Again.</ref>
Third Nazi War
Peace would not last very long as the Space Nazis made a surprise attack on the Coruscanti forces at Elysia. CivGeneral became very concerned that the Nazi aggression would only further complicate the situation on Earth. However, he remains obstinate to anything the Space Nazis would throw in his path.
Encounter with the Parasite X
CivGeneral was captured by the Enclave along with his friends on a cross country road trip to find Mr. Toyoda. After a successful break out of their cell, they encountered Dr. Breen, along with SA-X and CG-X. After refusing Dr. Breen's request to join the Enclave, the X-es attacked him and left him in a bloody mess. Shortly before the Storm Commandos arrived, SA-X gave CivGeneral the Kiss of Death, infecting him with the Parasite X.
Fortunately, Samus Aran, who had undergone a similar crisis, boldly demanded the doctors transfuse her blood into him, despite their concerns over the complications of introducing two DNA strands into CivGeneral. The Metroid DNA immunized him against the X Parasite. After the vaccination was delivered, he made a speedy recovery and was fit for fight in the Battle of Los Angeles.
DYOS 11
The Phantom of The Hacker and the Space Pirate Menace
After crawling out of the vault with Samus Aran in the aftermath of the One Hour War, CivGeneral was given a quest by Major Kusanagi herself to track down and bring The Hacker to justice. Along their way they came across Lucifer after Ellis almost ran him over. They then went en route to New Port City, to Black Mesa to get more details about the Hacker.
After arriving to Back Mesa, they were met with Dr. Adolf Zimmer whom informed both CivGeneral and Samus Aran about Mother Brain 2.0 whom Dr. Zimmer pleaded with the two to take the supercomputer offline before the hacker gets to it as well as severing the connection between the hacker and the Combine teleportation research center on Nar Kreeta.
Before heading to Zebes, they were met with Zheng He who made an agreement to work along side CivGeneral to defeat the hacker. They made there way to Zebes and worked there way through derelict Space Nazi infrastructure to reach to the mainfriame of Mother Brain 2.0 to take her offline. They were guided by a Space Pirate slave named Roxane Rose who also helped them defeat Ridley and various aliens deep in the planet's crust. Eventually both Samus and CG took Mother Brain offline and made there way back to the surface.
Shortly after reaching the surface and making there escape, the Space Pirates shot down the craft that Samus and CivGeneral were in. The two were left stranded, with the Space Pirate mothership parked in front of them and decided to infiltrate the ship and hijack a craft to use to escape. Though were almost caught and had to make a shortcut, though one wrong turn placed our heroes making a trek into an ancient Chozo temple. There CivGeneral was forced to fight against a Chozo power armor in the trials test. CivGeneral passed the test and continued back into the mothership. Shortly after forcing the reactors to overload, Roxane Rose managed to secure a transport for our heroes and escaped to Nar Kreeta.
Broken Monitor
"We shall see about that"Shortly after arriving to Nar Kreeta, he was met with his cousin Marsha Conrad who was in the middle of scolding the Combine officers of there delays to dismantle the interdimentional portal device. CivGeneral took matters into his own hands and went to the portal device chamber to personally destroy it. Though was convinced by a Combine officer pleading to allow more time so the Combine Advisors would go back to there own universe. CivGeneral reluctantly agreed and sought out to push the portal device pass it's limits while Samus Aran and Marsha Conrad were in the Advisor chambers preparing and loading them back into there own universe. Eventually as the last Advisor was transported back to there own universe, the portals became unstable and overloaded the portal device causing a massive explosion in the portal chamber. Soon The Hacker made contact to CivGeneral stating his intentions to invade Nar Kreeta and personally going after Samus, Marsha Conrad, and himself in a vendetta involving the whole family.
- —CivGeneral
"You... ....bastard! You heartless bastard!"CivGeneral, Samus, and Marsha Conrad eventually met up with the Hacker in the same room and cellblock where CivGeneral himself along with Thorvald of Lym and Alyx Vance fought Kulade and rescued Thunderfall. In an unfortunate turn of events, the Hacker managed to hack Samus out of existence. Devastated, CivGeneral, cursed at the Hacker all while he was gloating over the lost of Samus<ref>While in reality the Gman rescued her in the nick of time</ref>. The Hacker saw CivGeneral as no longer a threat to him after breaking him and went on his way. Marsha Conrad along with Coach made there attempts to comfort CivGeneral. Though it was cut short when the group heard cries of help from a box smashing room. The group discovered that Jill Valentine managed to gotten herself trapped in a derelict box smashing room. CivGeneral forced opened the door and rescued Jill and continued there way to the outside via the abandoned zombie infested areas of Kulade's Citadel.
- —Marsha Conrad to The Hacker
"She is now. I'd suggest you take heed of Sentinel Valentine's Orders. Commander"
- —CivGeneral
The group finally made it to the outside right at the start of the Battle of Nar Kreeta, tough the Space Pirates decided to go with the plan of "If we can't have the portal device, then no one can!" and planted a bomb in Kulade's Citadel at the same time killing CivGeneral in the process. Scrapped for time, CivGeneral and Jill urged everyone to evacuate the Citadel at once.
With Marsha undergoing repairs on the derelict Bebop. Jill, CivGeneral, and Coach managed to fend off advancing Space Pirate troopers preventing there escape. After a fearce battle and after the last cruiser left Kulade's Citadel, the heroes managed to escape into space. Though only to find themselves in a middle of a space battle.
After learning that Stylesrj has entered into the same area as he is, CivGeneral decided to put aside his past grudges against him and work together to defeat the Space Pirates and the newly arrived Commander Laes. It one on the Observatory while setting up a decoy of the Observatory that CivGeneral learned of Jill Valentine's true identity of an old high school girlfriend from Coach. CivGeneral decided to reunite with Jill.
Faced with a Two on Two battle. CivGeneral and his group decided to sabotage a handful of Space Pirate and Commander Laes's ships to level the playing field to there favor. With an empty power cell and a jamed pistol, just before being shot right on the spot at a reactor terminal by Commander Laes's naval trooper, Jill and CivGeneral kissed not to long before Coach shot the naval trooper with the Spirit of Bill. The group then escape the ship as the explosives detonated.
Not long after, CivGeneral used Jill's old radio to make a callout to any space truckers to be on a look out for Lucifer and inform him if they have seen any traces of him. Eventually, they came across a distress signal from Rebecca Chambers when she was enroute to Kulade's Citadel to meet up with the heroes. She was eventually rescued in the middle of battle when CivGeneral risked his own life opening the airlock hatch to retrieve her. CivGeneral was later contacted by Motoko Kusanagi to inform the group about a toolgun device that has found it's way into Laes's possession in one of his ships. The group went ahead and made another ship boarding. There CivGeneral and Jill found a locked suitcase that contained the toolgun, figuring that he has no use for it, decided to give it to his cousin.
After hearing the call that Stylesrj needs to be rescued. CivGeneral and his group hurried to the distress signal, on there way Jill proposed to CivGeneral and he accepted. Not to long after the rescue wedded on the Observatory. Soon after CivGeneral and Jill had a private moment together in which she presented him with her old partner's Samurai Edge pistol. Not long before CivGeneral was called to return back to New Port City due to a break in in the Citadel, they were ambushed by Faye Valentine (Brainwashed with the OS-tans and the P30) and were forced to weaken her in order to escape. Eventhough they left her with Stylesrj, Faye was more interested in tracking CivGeneral and Jill.
CivGeneral and Jill finally made it to the New Port City Citadel to stop the intruder from entering and breaking into one of the biological hazard vaults that contained contrabands confiscated from the Enclave and the Space Nazis during the Third Nazi War, namely an assortment of T-Virus, FEV Virus, and a Tyrant. There they met Doctor Edward Richtofen who released the tyrant causing havoc in the Citadel itself buying Dr. Richtofen time to escape. Jill and CivGeneral finally lured the tyrant to the Dark Energy Core atomizing the beast before finally confronting Dr. Richtofen at the roof of the Citadel.
While at the roof, they were unexpectedly met The Hacker and was apprehended by two Space Pirates while Dr. Richtofen escaped to the streets below to force open one of the quarantine gate unleashing a zombie apocalypse in the segment of the city. The Hacker forced Jill into a deal that she cannot refuse, a duel against Samus Aran. CivGeneral was the Hacker's prisoner for the short while while Jill and Samus duke it out against each other with the winner remining married to CivGeneral and the loser get a forced divorce and taken away by the G-man. Eventually Jill won with amazing odds against Samus. CivGeneral, after seeing Samus being taken away by the G-man, spoke with him on releasing Alyx Vance. However the celebration was cut short when they were informed that Dr. Richtofen opened the quarantine gates. CivGeneral, Jill Valentine, Rebecca, Alyx, and Gordon Freeman teamed up to make there trek through the sewers and underworld of New Port City to reach the quarantine gate.
Lowlife
CivGeneral and his friends treked through the underworld of New Port City facing zombies and muggers preying on unsuspecting survivors. Eventually they met up with Virgil who aided CivGeneral and his friends to reach the quarantine gate. But not before having to face off a zombie horde. Afterward, they managed to reach to the quarantine gates and close it for good, ending the zombie apocalypse in the area.
As our heroes make there way to the path that would take them to the outskirts of the city to be picked up, they encountered Dr. Richtofen at the pumphouse . Immediately, Jill and CivGeneral drew there guns to apprehend him. Until Faye intervened and Albert Wesker showed himself to CivGeneral after years of observing him in the shadows. Wesker revealed to CivGeneral that Sylux was in fact Faye Valentine under the control of the OS-tans and a chemical cocktail to brainwash her. The group splits up again, this time the men against Wesker and the women against Faye.
CivGeneral has not faced an opponent like Wesker before and was ill prepared to fight against him and could not counter his Matrix-like moves. Ayane in a distance was observing the fight and decided to intervene and attacked Wesker and took CivGeneral to the safety of the shadows while Wesker kept looking for him. With the help of Ayane, CivGeneral finally gotten the upper hand against Wesker. Though the confrontation ended abruptly when Faye snuck up on the group and began taking them down and eventually putting CivGeneral in a armlock on the floor. Wesker took advantage of CivGeneral's vunerable state extracted the Chozo-Metroid DNA and injected a serum that contained a substance to dissolve traces of the Chozo-Metroid DNA as well as infecting him with the T-virus before leaving CivGeneral to face Faye Valentine. CivGeneral, Jill, and Ayane were forced to make there attempts to remove the device thats been controlling Faye, eventually they were successful in pinning her to the floor. Disturbingly, CivGeneral finally gets to hear for the first time Omega-tan, a collective of all the known OS-tans he knew, and the reasonings for Omega-tan's lust for revenge against CivGeneral and controlling Faye. Eventually CivGeneral killed Omega-tan, thus ending the Avatar Wars for himself.
After learning from Rebecca Chambers that he's been infected with the T-virus. He decided to seek out an old college professor, who is a Doctor in Vacconology, before he scums to the T-virus and becomes a zombie. Thankfully his friends found Dr. Jonas who tended CivGeneral and made a full recovery. Later that same day, CivGeneral and his friends returned to the Brotherhood of Steel headquarters where they were informed in detail about Umbrella's presence in Hyrule. Shortly after meeting with Kusanagi, the P30 on Roxane Rosewas activated and she almost struck down both Major Kusanagi and CivGeneral before put down by Jill Valentine.
Hyrulian Down
After an intensive rooftop fire fight between S.T.A.R.S. and the individuals who were perusing Spongebob boarded the Bebop for Hyrule. Though just before leaving Earth, CivGeneral, hosted a funeral for the late Kan and Bill.
After some time has passed, CivGeneral and his friends landed in Hyrule and proceeded to head to the Umbrella Research Facility on the planet. On the way, they encountered Link who assumed that they were aggressive outsiders. CivGeneral defused the situation and convinced that they are there to remove the occupying forces. Hours later, he found himself in Kakariko village in a skirmish between S.T.A.R.S. and Umbrella. Shortly later, Umbrella troopers ambushed CivGeneral and the majority of his group as prisoners. They were soon taken to Colonel Maxium before placed face to face with Lucy. With the help of Spongebob, Marsha Conrad, and Jill Valentine; CivGeneral eventually won Kaede over.
Shortly after reuniting with Amanda Lockheart and Ayane, CivGeneral's cybernetics were hacked by The Hacker who set free the ReichsGeneral free from his pen inside CivGeneral's mind. Within CivGeneral's mind, the fight first started out as his evil innerpersona talking down and belittling CivGeneral before offering to join him. Followed by a timely intervention by Kaede who pulled CivGeneral away from ReichsGeneral and effortlessly convinced to fight the temptations. After turning down the ReichsGeneral's offer, the two begun to fight against each other. While in the real world, his cousin confronted the Hacker and deleted the ReichGeneral.
Eventually CivGeneral and his friends confronted Colonel Maxium and proceeded to kill him off in a massive show of overkill before releasing Nemesis against them. Shortly after the execution of Col. Maxium, the doctor who tended Kaede informed CivGeneral and his friends that he planted several bombs across the facility and suggested to his wife to detonate the bomb after the group left the facility. While the doctor was arming the bombs, CivGeneral and his friends had to exit the facility while at the same time avoid Nemesis. Shortly before leaving the facility, he encountered one of his old tormentor and confronted him. While watching from afar, CivGeneral saw the facility explode in a massive fireball thus freeing the Hyrulians from Umbrella's grip.
I Forgot to Remember to Forget
While leaving Hyrule, Marsha Conrad discovers the Talon base not to far away. She convinced CivGeneral to confront the Talons. CivGeneral was surprised to learn that there ship was not fired upon and docked in the Comet Observatory. Later he learned that Stylesrj was in the base who told the Talons not to fire upon CivGeneral and his group. He met with Miranda Rights, who told him that the Talons were not evil after all. He soon set out to clear the Talon's name and remove the death mark from his head, though against Marsha Conrad's wishes. After reporting to Major Kusanagi about the mishap, she cleared the Talon's name on behalf of the Republic in exchange for removing the death mark from CivGeneral's head. Eventually Marsha Conrad had a change of heart and forgave the Talons. Later CivGeneral, along with Stylesrj, woke Tama Shepard. After Tama and Kaede had a brief fight, CivGeneral and Stylesrj discussed amongst themselves on what to do with Tama. Eventually the two agreed to have Tama under Stylesrj's care.
London is Burning
Once the Nana arrived to the Talon base, CivGeneral was set to head back home. While on board the Nana, Ayane trained both him and his wife in ninjitsu as well as updated by Spongebob with the situation that has happened in London. CivGeneral assured Spongebob that he would return the Free Western Army back to normal and unseat the dictator who took control. Little did CivGeneral and his group knew, Grimbsy have set London on fire with napalm. After landing in London, CivGeneral was devastated when Spongebob was shot and killed. But he decided to press on with there original goal. But not before encountering HUNK and The Hacker. HUNK was after the Hacker after defecting away from Wesker and saw CivGeneral as a compedator to his goal. The two fought until HUNK was pinned to the ground. Not giving into the temptation of striking HUNK down, he allowed HUNK to leave and agreed to help CivGeneral indirectly with the Hacker. Though HUNK reminded CivGeneral that the two would fight against each other on the battlefield. Later the Hacker, controlling a robot, tried to kill off Jill Valentine before he was flipped to the ground where he goes on about trying to break CivGeneral. Before going offline, he gave CivGeneral the DYOS 10 & 10.5 Compilation Book. The book itself was harmless, though later on would have repercussions once Dr. Richtofen has gotten his hands on it.
Kaiser CivGeneral?
Even though CivGeneral is neither a statesman nor holds any noble heritage, many senators, government officials, and military brass speculate that CivGeneral is the de facto head of state during the course of the DYOS series, and should be granted status that recognizes him as superior to Chancellor of the Republic.<ref>It is currently unknown if and when the Kaisership will be offered to CivGeneral. More than likely this will take place during DYOS 11.</ref> "Kaiser" (German: Emperor) is akin to the title of Caesar, a title of imperial character during Ancient Roman times.
Personality and Traits
CivGeneral's personality is very much a Janus-faced one. On one side, CivGeneral appears very self-confident. On the other, he is very self-conscious and often doubts himself. He is an independent and free-thinking person, while at the same time has his primary concern is always the safety and well-being of those he cares for. An ever-present factor appears to be fear—fear of dying, fear of doing the wrong thing.
Most, if not all of his personality and traits are carried over from the poster himself, since CivGeneral the contributor places himself in his character's shoes.
Like Major Kusanagi, he is prone to go into Unstoppable Rage mode. Due to severe depression, he has a higher risk of entering in a Heroic BSOD than other characters. To this day since his middle school years, he still is unable to control in rage.

Wardrobe
CivGeneral's well known wardrobe is a forest, winterized, or desert scheme BDU, powered combat vest, and a beret bearing his unit's insignia the "Fearsome One". However, CivGeneral does have an extensive collection in his wardrobe and would routinely change in given situations such as putting on Power Armor when going into a highly radiated zone or needs that extra bit of strength or putting on an officer's uniform when not in combat and meeting with his subordinates.

Powers and Abilities
- "Remember: abilities are not inherently good or evil, it's how you use them."
― Kyle Katarn
CivGeneral is adept at using a variety of weapons. His training at the Imperial Academy as well as services during the First and Second Nazi Wars gave him great skills in using any kind of weapon he comes across. His preferred weapon is his trusty Mauser C96 pistol that he got as a war prize after his mission in Bluff Point. CivGeneral has shown that he is capable of combat and command skills. He only has knowledge of basic first aid and has healed Spongebob twice over the course of the DYOSes. He recently made a personal choice to not be a field medic and let someone younger handle the job.
CivGeneral received impromptu power armor training from Samus Aran<ref>Who used the same words as Paladin Gunny in Fallout 3</ref> after breaking out of the Enclave holding cell and knocking out two soldiers. At the time, the Republic military had only begun to incorporate power armor into combat strategy, and few soldiers had been trained in its use.
There is also a hint that CivGeneral may have the Mysterious Stranger perk due to the appearance of the G-man as well as him leaving beneficial items in CG's path.
CivGeneral is also known to dual wield handguns<ref>Trait carried over from the Left 4 Dead series</ref>, sometimes with two different pistols (eg: one Luger and a C96) or the same (eg: two Glock 86 plasma pistols). He and Jill Valentine are the only known practitioners of guns akimbo. It would not come a surprise that he would use two submachine guns akimbo style. He often carries a third pistol with him if he is ever forced to perform a New York reload<ref>Trait carried over from the FPS games he plays</ref>. Though with acquisition of better pistols in his journey, he has recently set aside his Luger pistol as his "New York Reload" pistol as well as a concealed weapon due to it's small size.
In unarmed combat, he is a a first degree black belt. Despite the usage of heavy armor such as his Power Armor, he tends to be a lightning bruiser if forced into unarmed combat. On occasions will perform a Falcon-esque punch which he calls "blitzkrieg". It's unknown if he would pursue training from Falcon Punch. Though more than likely will if he encounters Wesker.
Former Powers and Abilities
- "Even without his Power Armor, all that training he did with the Imperial Academy and the Chozo DNA infused in him has made. I don't think the greenest of a green soldier could ever keep up. Just look at him!"
— First Lieutenant Marsha Conrad
CivGenera's infusion with Chozo DNA has made him more of a super soldier. He can run faster, jump higher, and survive falls that would otherwise cripple or kill ordinary humans. Like Samus, CivGeneral is able to adapt to foreign environments that normal baseline humans would not survive. However, he still prefers to have a a supply of fresh filtered air whenever venturing into a highly radioactive zone. Just to be on the safe side.
The reasoning behind the cocktail concoction of infusions is due to the last ditch attempt to save CivGeneral from the X Parasite infection he encountered after fighting CG-X and SA-X. Since no amount of stimpacks would get rid of the parasite, Samus Aran was a willing donor of Metroid DNA samples used for the X Parasite cure. Side effects of the DNA makes CivGeneral more susceptible to the cold<ref>Though Winterized equipment nullifies this</ref>. Dispute the genetic engineering and a few cybernetic implants in him, CivGeneral considers himself a Colonel Badass even though he outranks colonels in his army.
After the encounter with Wesker in DYOS 11, he was given an injection of a serum that dissolved all traces of the Chozo and Metroid DNA from his system. Rendering him back to a normal human being.
MacGyver Ability
- See Improvised Weapons, improvised explosive device and improvised firearms for more details
CivGeneral is also known to craft weapons from whatever supplies he has on or around him thanks to his training from and association with the Storm Commandos<ref>Skills carried over from Garry's Mod, Fallout 3, and recently from Team Fortress 2 after The War update</ref> and from routinely practicing Karate. He can turn a simple pool stick (or any tool with a shaft) into a makeshift bo and rig an IED using only grenades, a lunch box, and some scrap metal that can either be rigged to detonate remotely or via a salvaged sensor.
If CivGeneral is armed with a rifle, shotgun, or a machine gun, he will use it as a makeshift bo when nessciary if forced into melee situations.
Vehicles
CivGeneral has owned and operated many vehicles during his adventures within DYOS. During peace time, he relies on his own mode of transportation to get from place to place. During wartime, he generally hops onto the Armed Forces of the Republic of Coruscant's logistics and transportation.
Nana
- See also: Nana
The Nana (Formerly Poker Alice) is a specially modified Venator-Class Star Destroyer designed to be operational by one individual, namely CivGeneral himself. It also comes standard with a conventional runway for non-VTOL craft; however this was hardly used until his personal MiG-31 was placed inside the hanger.
MiG-31
Perhaps CivGeneral's first vehicle within the DRAW Your Own Story series and perhaps the most easily forgotten<ref>Since its only appearance was in DYOS 1</ref>; early in his career in the DYOS world, he and Mara Jade would have flown this jet across the planet. However, the fighter was damaged when CurtSibling's forces attacked his plane and forced to make a crash landing. When CivGeneral and Mara Jade drifted apart<ref>By way of changing avatars</ref>, he felt no need to keep it any longer and stored the plane in a hanger. It remained surprisingly untouched throughout the years despite the Combine occupation.
With the union of Samus Aran, she encouraged him to restore the forgotten aircraft to its former glory after seeing remnants of pictures of him next to the aircraft. CivGeneral was reluctant to restore the aircraft due to the memories it evoked about Mara Jade. It was eventually restored with the help of Motoko Kusanagi and Samus Aran, then transfered from the hanger where he left it for so many years and into the Poker Alice.
The Bebop
The Bebop is a corellian YT-1300 light freighter that was aquired by CivGeneral, Jill Valentine, Coach, and Marsha Conrad. It was hinted that it was been there for quite some time in a derelict state which prompted Marsha to place extensive repairs onto the ship itself before it became operational.
Soundtrack
CivGeneral himself does not have a set leitmotif. However he does have a listing of songs played during his adventures in DYOS.

- Torukia - Gabriela Robin
- Lift - Poets of the fall
- Locking Up The Sun - Poets of the Fall

Relationships
Family
- Marsha Conrad (Cousin) - Have known each other since childhood. Both Marsha and CivGeneral were raised by Frank Conrad, CivGeneral's uncle, after his parents were killed by a barbarian raid. CivGeneral considers Marsha his younger sister.
- Jill Valentine (Wife) - CivGeneral meet Jill in the box smashing room and saved her from an OSHA violation. Though after witnessing CivGeneral cr0wn a witch infront of her, she started to develop a deep crush towards Civgeneral. Both CivGeneral and Jill share a similar background. Both have served in a capacity in a special forces group (Jill served with the Delta Force where as the Republic Army considers CivGeneral to be part of the Storm Commandos) as well as seeing both of there hometowns scum to a zombie apocalypse.
Friends
- Motoko Kusanagi (Close Friend) - After CivGeneral drifted apart from Mara Jade, he ran into Major Kusanagi during his travels. She has fought side by side with CivGeneral in early times during the DYOS saga. She has at times encouraged CivGeneral to get cybernetics, and he eventually did get a V.A.T.S. module. Currently the two are close friends, and Kusanagi is CivGeneral's trusted second-in-command.
- Rebecca Chambers (Close Friend) - Initially, recruted by Motoko Kusanagi into the Brotherhood of Steel. CivGeneral considers her as an adopted sister and will be protective of her due to the nature of the "Shoot the Medic First" mentality CivGeneral's enemies have.
- Ayane (Close Friend) - Ran across her during the battle against Albert Wesker. Accepted her request to become a Brotherhood of Steel member as well as an adopted sister.
- "Coach" (Close Friend) - Has known CivGeneral during his high school years. Provided CivGeneral moral support. Eventually the two became friends. Though Coach is older and wiser, CivGeneral looks to him as not only as a friend but a mentor. Later, Coach joined the Brotherhood of Steel as Knight Captain.
- Kaede (Friend) - After given the gift of love and friendship. Accepted her for who she is and reassured her that he and his friends were not repulsed by her horns. She was given a pardon on behalf of CivGeneral of her crimes she committed years ago on Kamakura. She was made a Paladin in the Brotherhood of Steel.
- Amanda Lockheart (Close Friend) - She was a friend of CivGeneral who taught him how to pilot an aircraft before embarking on his mercenary travels in DYOS.
- Stylesrj Dragonhelper (Friend) - If one looks back in previous DYOSes, the two has seen quite a lot of turbulence between the two in powergaming matches and gaining one-upmanships. After a while (and improvements upon Stylesrj's storytelling), the relationship began to cool down to the point CivGeneral considers friendship with him
Previous Love Interests
- Mara Jade (The Ex From Hell) - Before the two parted ways, she was CivGeneral's love interest until her respect for him began to wane from the constant teasing he has gotten from his enemies. CivGeneral, as he puts it, parted ways to avoid falling into a hole from which he could not escape. He told her that he was going to Correllia to get some green tea, while in reality he fled to Earth to New Port City to continue his life without her. Mara searched for him after weeks of not returning, tracking him to New Port City, where she saw how happy he was without her. Mara became infuriated at any woman that came near him and retreated into the shadows until the time was right. She met her end in the caves of Arrakis<ref>Or did she?</ref>.
- Alyx Vance (The Ex that disappeared) - Originally met in the jail cells of Nar Kreeta when CivGeneral and Thorvald were in a middle of an engagement against kulade. She became CivGeneral's love interest until the end of the Combine-Coruscant War, when she was swept away by the mysterious G-man, possibly to avoid provoking the same fate as Mara Jade and CivGeneral's older avatars.
- Samus Aran (Wife DYOS 10.5) - The two officially met during the duel between CivGeneral and Mara Jade. Before she met CivGeneral, Samus was fascinated and impressed with his achievements he had made during the course of the DYOS saga and has decided that he "is the warrior [she] is looking for". She quickly became CivGeneral's love interest; then, after the Battle of Las Vegas, they tied the knot. Though after the Battle of Nar Kreeta during the haxor crisis, she was presumed to be haxed out of existence.

Critical interpretation
"Long is the way, and hard, that out of Hell leads up to Light."Go back in recent years, you would see an example of an individual who has fallen, hardly. Taking everything seriously and holds a steadfast egotistical and selfish on his beliefs after suffering a long term depression. Gone from a legend of DYOS to almost a shadow of his former self. With some hard loving from other posters, CivGeneral both as the poster and the character went on a long road to his own self healing symbolized with the fight between himself and the evil angel within him, ReichsGeneral. Which symbolizes overcoming the old philosophy of "my way or the highway" with a better newer philosophy. Along with confronting his tormentors; Melinda Sweatt and Bryan Shyner. Overcoming these obsticals would create a Renaissance for him into the light as well as passing the lessons he learned to other people, including Marsha Conrad and Kaede.
- —John Milton, Paradise Lost
Behind the Scenes
The model (mainly the face) used to portray CivGeneral is male_07 in Garry's Mod. The same model used for Joe, Sandy, and other citizens in Half Life 2 [1]. The Male_07 face has been replicated in Fallout 3 as close as possible. CivGeneral's BDU comes in forest, desert, winterized, and medic flavors.
CivGeneral's S.T.A.R.S. militarized uniform is a reskinned Hazardous Environment Combat Unit Marine Grunt from the Half-Life series that bears the Special Tactics And Rescue Service rocker above the HECU badge on the left shoulder and the flag of the Republic of Coruscant on the right shoulder. CivGeneral added the Brotherhood of Steel badge on the powered combat vest.
