Background
Unlike many who fled into space with Manfred Hickten, Dr. Zimmer had no interest in politics seeing them as "a plaything for debaters" however he tagged along as one of the Space Nazis computer teams.
Dr. Zimmer has always been fascinated with stories from other spacers about the Federation's Aurora Unit, an organic supercomputer. Zimmer wishes to seek out the technology as the possibilities are endless with an organic computer. However he was limited with the technology that the Space Nazis had and could only create Robobrains.
Mother Brain 2.0
Dr. Zimmer gotten a chance in a life time after the Space Nazis invaded Zebes and brought with them back vials of Parasite X, Metroids, and a harddisk containing the software of Mother Brain. Dr. Zimmer proposed to Manfred that if put to use, would make the Space Nazi military more efficiant. Manfred gave the go ahead for Zimmer to create her.
Utilizing salvaged parts from GlaDOS after Stylesrj destroyed Aperture Science many DYOSes ago as well as a source code of GlaDOS to serve as an emulation environment for Mother Brain as well as patches to her to better utilize GlaDOS's hardware.
At the time the Space Nazis attacked the Republic of Coruscant, Dr. Zimmer was slowly working on an update for Mother Brain 2.0 for when he gets the resources to actualy build an organic supercomputer.
Space Nazi Defeat
After the Space Nazis were defeated by the Republic of Coruscant. Dr. Zimmer was taken into custody after his surrender to Coruscanti troops. While Coruscant were suspicious of any Space Nazis they have captured and don't want a repeat of the exodus of Nazi leaders like in the aftermath of the First Nazi War.
Space Pirate Resurgence & The Hax
Dr. Zimmer became concerned over his creation after hearing news of the widespread haxs that has been taking down the internet. Dr. Zimmer pleaded with the Coruscantis that Mother Brain 2.0 would bring havok to the universe if she has gone rouge or the hacker gets to her first.
Sadly, no one believed in him due enpart that the Coruscantis know that Samus Aran defeated Mother Brain twice and dismissed his stories as nothing but tall tales and Nazi Propaganda.
Behind the Sceens
- Dr. Adolf Zimmer is in homage to Dr, Zimmer from Fallout 3. Both concerned with their android (Harkness)/Computer (Mother Brain). Yet both have different motives where the Zimmer of FO3 simply wants to take back Harkness, where as the DYOS Zimmer wants Mother Brain shut down and destroyed. Dr. Adolf Zimmer is also a homage to Wernher von Braun
