Cryodivus

Cryodivus is the God of Ice, a benevolent sub-deity but, until recently, uninvolved in Etrahn struggles. However, the emergence of superpowerful evil forces, along with Pyrodeus' recent ascension through Magres Xerfal, have brought Cryodivus back into active duty as a defender of Heaven and the good people of Etrah.

Origin: Approximately 8 millennia ago, the Archangels were charged with creating new Guardians of the Gate, able to battle at full strength regardless of distance from the gates of Heaven. Four of the five archangels (the exception being Azrael) created their own Warrior Angels in accordance with their elemental inclination. Gabriel created Hydrodurus, Michael created Pyrodeus, Raphael created Gisichros, and Uriel created Ventusamplus. This would even the balance of power from a strong advantage for Hell to a level playing field. However, God desired the balance to be tipped in Heaven's favor. He created four additional Warrior Angels of his own volition: Cryodivus, Fulminerus, Silexops, and Aurumagnus. Cryodivus was one of only three Warrior Angels to survive the battle between the Warrior Angels and Sons of Plunder, the others being Fulminerus and Pyrodeus. Cryodivus successfully completed Magres Xerfal not long after his creation, ascending him to the level of a demigod. His abilities were increased exponentially, and while he can be defeated in battle he can only be truly killed through a unique attack, unknown to all but him (rendering him effectively indestructible).
Broken Heaven: Soon after ascending he disappeared, only impacting events passively, until Pyrodeus' attempt at ascension, during which he was attacked by Rogue Angels. Cryodivus froze an attacking angel solid, destroyed him, and trapped the others in a ball of ice - which he compacted to the approximate size of a baseball, crushing them. He then surrounded the Sacred Altar of Divine Power in an ice dome, protecting Pyrodeus and Mathew until the ritual ended. With the break of Heaven, Cryodivus helped Pyrodeus find his son, Visignis. Cryodivus destroyed Leviathan after freezing him with Absolute Zero energy, and during the fight with Baalaose Cryodivus slew Tresdos with a blade of frozen light, leaving his seal and hook swords behind.

[edit] Weapons, Powers and Abilities
Cryodivus has nearly limitless abilities of ice manipulation. He has angelic level physical strength, endurance, and reflexes which he can increase to undefined levels when tapping into his true power, causing his body to freeze solid, changing to pure ice, until he chooses to return to normal, exhausts himself, or is knocked unconscious. He is able to generate shields, weapons, and armor of ice for himself or those fighting with him.
He is also able to throw and manipulate cold energy, freezing or lowering the temperature of things around him at will. Cryodivus is immune to extreme cold, and is even able to move and function at Absolute Zero or lower the temperature of objects and enemies to Absolute Zero.
When tapping into his absolute pinnacle of magic, Cryodivus can become cold enough to break the laws of physics. Absolute Zero, marked as zero Kelvin on the Kelvin temperature scale, is no longer the limit of cold: Cryodivus lowers his body temperature to the theoretical value of -100 Kelvin. At this temperature, even light freezes. Cryodivus uses this to his advantage and freezes light around him into indestructible armor, and creating a blade of frozen light. However, using this magic wears Cryodivus out quickly. After abandoning this impossible form, his sword and armor disappear in a flash as the frozen light thaws into beams once more.
Cryodivus has all manner of weapons available to him formed of ice at his behest, but he almost exclusively fights with a sword forged for him long ago by Pyrodeus. The sword can be summoned or disappear at Cryodivus' will, accompanied by an ice spike each time it appears, which explodes to reveal the weapon. When it disappears, it sometimes explodes into icy shrapnel or simply melts or evaporates.
