Hydrodurus
From Apocalypseblade
Hydrodurus is the Angel of Water. One of the eight Warrior Angels, Hydrodurus has been dead for several millennia; however, his seal and weapon remain, allowing for a possible resurrection or reincarnation.
[edit] History
Warning: Spoilers below.
Approximately 8 millennia ago, the Archangels were charged with creating new Guardians of the Gate, able to battle at full strength regardless of distance from the gates of Heaven. Four of the five archangels (the exception being Azrael) created their own Warrior Angels in accordance with their elemental inclination. Gabriel created Hydrodurus, Michael created Pyrodeus, Raphael created Gisichros, and Uriel created Ventusamplus. This would even the balance of power from a strong advantage for Hell to a level playing field. However, God desired the balance to be tipped in Heaven's favor. He created four additional Warrior Angels of his own volition: Cryodivus, Fulminerus, Silexops, and Aurumagnus. Hydrodurus took his own life in the battle with the Sons of Plunder, destroying Ruentomors (who had possessed his body) in the process.
Spoilers end here.
[edit] Weapons, Powers and Abilities
Hydrodurus has nearly limitless abilities of water manipulation. He can create fresh water (he can also create salt water, but in smaller quantities unless aided by Silexops). He is able to create weapons out of water, and absorb and throw the weapons of his enemies that strike his body or shield.
He is a powerful defensive force. A shield of water is permanently affixed to his right arm, his seal in the middle of it. The shield can grow to any size without losing strength.
He also carries a powerful buster cannon in his chest; at will, he can replace his left forearm with it. It fires a ball of water, held together by a thin shell of ice due to Cryodivus' magic, and given remarkable accuracy by Ventusamplus' powers over wind. The blast takes several seconds to charge, but the effect compensates for the slow rate of fire; upon impact, the blast traps the victim in a chunk of ice, and draws almost all hydration from their body, leaving them severely weakened in the process.
