The Wrath of the Titan
From Yb Timeline
"To each of us falls a task, and all that is required of us clone troopers, is that we stand the line, and we die fighting. It is what we do best. We die standing."
-General Kaufmann
The Wrath of the Titan was a Yoshi Bodyguard Story done durring a period of inactivity in the Yoshi Bodyguards. It focused around a War Titan named Dominatris, created in the Age of the Imperial Yoshis, which had fallen on the world of Finichia. The Yoshi Bodyguards discovered it, and had to race several other factions in order to get to the Titan first, all the while being helped and betrayed by the mysterious Vhozon. This RP marked the first part of the Metal Wars, and highly influenced it's ending. The RP was to be redone in Topmonhit's Cross-Cultural RP, but complications prevented it from being finished.

Story
Storming the Ice World
The RP started with the Yoshi Bodyguard 483rd Clone Army Division landing on the planet, bombarding the Metal Army's fortified position with airstrikes. General Kauffmann lands, and rallies the troops to take the fortress and secure the Titan. Half-way, they are obstructed by an energy shield, which holds their advance until it mysteriously falls, the generators all hit by ice beams. Kaufmann ponders the situation, but continues on.
Meanwhile, on Star World, the Yoshi Bodyguards are called upon to escort a team of technicians to reactivate the Titan. It seems simple, and they arrive at the ice world, only to see several warships in combat, most notably those of an unidentified robot army. The Yoshi Bodyguards use a Pelican craft to take the Titan's crew down to the planet's surface, but the Metal Army catches wind, and sends fighters after it. After a drawn-out dogfight, and being saved by several mysterious ice blasts, the Pelican is shot down behind Metal Army lines. The Yoshi Bodyguards intervene, and call for General Kaufmann to help, who is moving through a local Ork conflict to get to the Yoshi Bodyguards.
Meanwhile, the Ork Warboss, Wargutz, notes the arrival of these new races on his world, and unites the clans to his will. He declares a WAAGH, or Ork crusade to destroy the invaders. Elsewhere, a turtle fortress lands, and Kienstrom declares that he will be the first to get to the Titan while everyone is distracted. A Chaos rift appears nearby, and Shadow Danny comes forth, attempting to claim the Titan with his chaos emeralds. In the Cross Cultural RP, Ein manages to land on the planet with a stolen ship, with the intention of using the Titan for his own ends.
The Yoshi Bodyguards fight and defeat the Omega Dalek, before Kaufmann sends in artillery strikes to destroy the Metal Army position. He secures the Titan, but states that the Orks had fled only due to a mysterious presence. Sub nods, stating something was helping them along. Kaufmann send the Yoshi Bodyguards back to the defense fortress of Ta Lorn, where they plan their move on the Titan.
The Race to the Titan
Meanwhile, the mysterious saviors, revealing themselves to be the Vhozon under Farseer Thorbell, are caught in an Ork raid, and weakened. However, Thorbell states that their task is too great to be halted, and teleported her base away. The Orks soon catch wind, and try another raid. Thorbell, is desperation, contacts Kaufmann, asking for his help. Kaufmann unwillingly obliges, and held out against the Orks until a Metal Slug Godslayer arrives to fend them off.
Thorbell reveals to the Yoshi Bodyguard that their reason for being there is a race called the Necrons, who were hidden under the Titan, using it as bait, for whoever reactivates the Titan will also reactivate the Necrons. Thorbell says their Soulice can destroy them, but need their help to secure the area from the other factions.
Very soon after, the 483rd moves out to secure the Titan, with the Yoshi Bodyguards defending Titan's crew, who are in an APC. In the middle of the battle, Wargutz and Metal Sneezier form a temporary alliance to destroy the Yoshi Bodyguards. Meanwhile, Shadow Danny and Ein engage in combat, each trying to push for the Titan while warding off the Yoshi Bodyguards, Metal Army, and Orks, while Keinstrum tries to bypass any opposing forces. In the middle of combat, the Vhozon attack a Yoshi Bodyguard position, trying to get their Soulice through the gate, and weakening the Yoshi Bodyguards as a distraction. However, Wargutz destroys the Soulice and it's vessel, defeating the Vhozon's purpose on the planet.
In the end, the Yoshi Bodyguards reach the gate first, and as they drop it's shield, the Vhozon ward away the Metal Army and the Orks as the Yoshi Bodyguards push through, just as the gate closes behind them. Kaufmann is grateful, but will not surrender the lives of his men for the Vhozon's, and states that he will dispatch the Necrons, Vhozon or not. The Vhozon are slaughtered outside the gate, and the fate of Thorbell is still unknown.
The Necrons
The Yoshi Bodyguards and the 483rd made it to the Titan's burring place, but Orks and Metal forces soon broke through the gate. The technicians, under Sneezier, worked tirelessly to bring what few guns the Titan had surfaced online, while the remaining forces secured generators around the Titan. Shadow Danny then appeared, and held Danny distracted for a period of time.
Just as the weapons came online, however, the Necrons awoke, destroying the Metal Army and Ork bases, forcing Metal Sneezier and Wargutz away. Metal Sneezier evacuated the planet, while Wargutz took the rest of his Orks away from the battlefield.
The Necrons then closed in on the Yoshi Bodyguards, who used the Titan's weapons to destroy four of the five arisen Monoliths they spawned from. The fifth one, however, would not go down, and spawned the Nightbringer, or the Avatar of Death. Seeing this, Shadow Danny retreated from the battle, leaving only the Yoshi Bodyguards and the Nightbringer.
The Nightbringer had the Yoshi Bodyguards on the ropes, disabling Sub and knocking Scorch out. It came to devour Danny's soul when Sneezier fired the Titan's canon one last time, damaging the Titan, but defeating the Nightbringer.
The Titan's crew stated that the overcharge had damaged the Titan, but not irreversibly. Support came in from the Yoshi Bodyguard fleet in orbit, securing the Titan for Star World. The Titan was placed under the watchful eye of the 483rd, and continues to do so until this day.
Kienstrom, being a bigger loser than the rest, escaped the planet when he was being unable to do anything successfully.
Alternate Endings
The canon ending is the one of the Yoshi Bodyguards, stated above. However, planned for the Cross-Cultural RP was an open-ending system for any faction. The open endedness starts when each faction attempts to storm the Psychic Gate around Dominatris. Should any of these factions get to the Titan first, their ending would have been as follows.
Metal Sneezier (The End of the Biotic Era)
Metal Sneezier's ending starts if he destroys the Titan's crew. Metal Sneezier comes in himself to dispatch General Kaufmann, leaving the 483rd in disorder just long enough to get to the Psychic Shield. The Orks then arrive, just to see Metal Sneezier break through the gate. However, the 483rd reorganized under the few core Yoshi Bodyguards left, and charged the Orks, defeating Wargutz.
When the Metal Army reaches the Titan, the Qubeley Wizards state that they need blood in order to corrupt the Magi-tech systems of the Titan. The use the few Yoshi Bodyguard clones left as sacrifices, but half-way through, the Necrons appear. Metal Sneezier quickly finds enough blood to reactivate the Titan's cannons, and blasts the Necrons back.
This ending shows Metal Sneezier killing the last core Yoshi Bodyguards, reactivating the Titan. He states how invincible he is now, and that, with the Yoshi Bodyguards dead, no one is left to stop him.
Wargutz (We iz Strong!)
Wargutz's ending begins when he reaches the Psychic Gate first. The Vhozon intervene, Thorbell facing down Wargutz. The battle ends with Wargutz killing her. Soon after, Shadow Danny, Ein, or Kienstrom appears, depending on who reaches next, and Wargutz takes the head of whoever still remains.
Just then, Wargutz's Boyz drop the shield around the Titan, just in time for the Yoshi Bodyguards to come in. They are flanked by more Orks, and killed off, one by one. The Metal Army arrives just in time for Wargutz to close the gate. Wargutz states he will destroy the Titan, as it has no use to him.
When Wargutz reaches the Titan, he counts the skulls of the commanders he has slain. The Metal Army then breaks through the gate, and the Orks fight back, continuing to disassemble the Titan through the battle. Half way through, the Necrons awaken, but the Orks manage to overpower them.
The end shows Wargutz killing Metal Sneezier. After looking at his skulls; All of the Yoshi Bodyguards, Metal Sneezier, the Necron Lord, Thorbell, and whatever third faction he faces, he smiles. He states he is the biggest Warboss on the planet, and asks his Nob where the nearest other planet is.
Thorbell (A Terrible Task)
The Vhozon reach the gate first, breaking through the Yoshi Bodyguard garrison and teleporting through the gate. The Yoshi Bodyguards attempt to hold against the tide of their enemies, but to no avail. The Yoshi Bodyguards make it through, but all core members are killed.
The Vhozon use their Soulice, which destroys several Necron Monoliths, but awakens several others. They are forced to engage the Necrons in direct combat, and call on the aid of the remaining 483rd, under Kaufmann, to help them.
In the end, they use the underpowered Titan's cannon to destroy the last remaining Monoliths, causing it to explode. The Vhozon manage to escape, but all remaining factions are destroyed in the blast, including the 483rd.
Shadow Danny (Chaos Core)
Shadow Danny defeats Ein, and reaches the gate first, fighting Farseer Thorbell and destroying her Soulice. Shadow Danny breaks through the gate, which was nullifying his chaos control, just as all of the other factions begin to attack eachother.
When Shadow Danny reaches the Titan, the Metal Army and Yoshi Bodyguards break through, both nearly destroyed by the fight. Danny comes to face down Shadow Danny, but is killed by a bolt of energy. Just then, the Necrons arise, coming for Shadow Danny.
Shadow Danny destroys one Monolith, but then more come. In a last ditch effort, Shadow Danny uses his power to overcharge the core of the Titan, then warps away. The Titan explodes, killing every faction still on the planet.
Keinstorm (An New (and Angry) World Order)
Keinstorm manages to avoid all opposition, drilling under the gate and through the other side. As the other forces battle at the gate's entrance, Keinstorm gloats, moving toward the Titan. He then uplinks his turtle fortress into it's core.
Chopper wonders how they got this far, while the Orks, Yoshi Bodyguards, and Metal Army pour through the gate. Just then, the Necrons awaken, defeating everyone around Keinstorm. Oddly enough, they don't notice Keinstorm until the Titan is reactivated, and he blasts them to kingdom come.
The last scene shows the Titan Dominatris flying through space, midst the wreckage of the Galactic Federation Fleet. Keinstorm is complaining about how bad the Imperial Yoshi's design for a superweapon is, for they forgot to add in a bathroom. They then plot on which planet has the best restrooms, wanting to conquer it next.
Ein (The Mana-Weapon)
Ein defeats Shadow Danny, and rushes for the core, only to be obstructed by Wargutz. Ein beats Wargutz, and overloads the Psychic Gate with his own mana.
When he reaches the Titan, he begins to place mana beacons around the weapon, not noticing the Necrons until it is too late. However, his mana manages to actually damage the Necrons, and he defeats them even before the other factions break through the gate.
The other factions break through just in time to see Ein warp the reactivated Titan away to his own dimension. The sheer tear from the universe they were in created a dimensional rift unlike any other. In that split second, the entire universe collapsed in on itself, destroying everything.
The scene then shows Ein with the Titan, flying through his own universe, moving toward their dimensional version of the planet Terra...
Trivia
- The story was based off of Dawn of War: Winter Assault, a game Sub happened to be playing when there was a lack of stories in the YB.
- General Kaufmann and Wargutz both were originally named from their Dawn of War counterparts, General Sturnn and Gorgutz Headhunta. Sub then thought it was tacky, and renamed them.
- The regimental number of the Clone Army force was changed from 412th to 483rd, also taking out the "Cadian" in their name, making them simply the "483rd Clone Army Regiment."
- This was the first story that the Metal Army was used as an actual military force, starting the Metal Wars story arc.
- The story originally planned for no guest factions, simply the Orks, Vhozon, Yoshi Bodyguards, and the remains of the COUE. However, Sneezier put in the Metal Army instead, followed by Danny using Shadow Danny and Top using Keinstorm. Ein was added in the failed Cross Cultural RP Version.
- There was a Cross Cultural RP version, which isn't considered canon, since it ended halfway through, and random characters appeared from nowhere.
Connections to Other Stories
- This story began the Metal Wars Saga, starting the Metal Army's role as a universal threat.
- The Tegan Y-Mechs are introduced in this story and they later appeared in The Blackest Days, Grodus Rising, and the Metal Wars Climax.
- The Wrath of the Titan was one of the few appearances Keinstorm made since his Christmas special.
- This story began the influence of the Vhozon and the Necrons on the ancient history of the universe. Both would appear later in The Blackest Days. The Vhozon had only been used one time before, in Space Pirate Panic!, Where a Vhozon Bounty Hunter named Noxus was one of the hunters to raid the Yoshi Bodyguard base and search for the ultimate power in the Albanic Sector.
- The story of the Titan would be continued in the Metal Wars Climax, where the Metal Army's Copper Legion attacks Finichia again. The Titan is then reactivated, and beats back the Metal Army, moving to Mekkai for the final battle. It was then referenced that the Titan will be used in future stories, though this continues to become more and moe unlikely as there is very little use for the Titan in newer stories.
