• Fred Fisk elected Lane County Sheriff.

• Booth-Kelly employs a company doctor. Dr. Milton Emerson Jarnagin starts up practice in Coburg.

• The Springfield News begins publication.

• The current Mill Pond is dredged in 1903 and the dam built between 1903-1912. The existing spillway and fish ladder were added in the 1940s.
